    Feels like home

This is a small, family run location. There are restrooms and shower facilities, as well as tent sites and RV hook ups. Plenty of room for boat parking. The cabins are adorable and feel like they are out of the 1970's but well worth the experience. Nice place to kayak. Gorgeous places to hike, watch the sunrise/sunset, and tons of room for kids to play. Pet friendly. The resident will visit you every day for belly scratches.

    Adequate but not great

Mix with long term campers, some of which looked like they would have problems moving.   Very tight spacing.   However, some sites are located adjacent to a canal with fishing and a boat launch.  Full hook up.

I like big boats and I cannot lie

Great place to watch boats or go out in one yourself. Large campground lots of sites. Wasn’t impressed with the one to the right as you first get there, looked like more long term residents and almost left after riding through there but then I could see there was a campground further down the road and it was a very nice. Level sites. You can watch the boats on the river.

    Hospitality here can't be beat

this campground is geared more to the atv / utv / jeep / offraod vehicle crowd.  if you are use to / expecting an rv resort that is the same as staying at your own home this is not for you.  if you want outdoors, get lost in the woods and want to unplug from society then this is the spot.  some sites require a bit of leveling, lots of full hookup and good amount of 50 amp.  some sites are close, so are not.  cafe onsite during the weekend with good breakfast and AWESOME burgers.  i know many folks love to cookout when rving, but the burgers are worth a stop.

in just the 3 years since our first visit, greg has improved / continues to improve at an incredible rate.   as with my title, and review above, greg and his wife are top notch hosts.  they truly love what they do and want to do everything to make sure your stay is enjoyable.   neighbors are friendly and respectful, no issues.

short drives from the campgrounds to beautiful scenery with a little bit of research, or ask greg.  alot are even accessible by car.   take the 30 min drive to hillbillys lims bbq as well.

Great RV sites and Hiking Trails

I stayed here in April in a class C motorhome and the sites by the lake are great. Long enough for a larger motorhome than I had that was 30 feet. A pulling vehicle or a fifth wheel would be good here because there is no stores or businesses close to the campgrounds. The park is great and the sites have everything there, picnic tables, firepits and full RV hookups. The shower house and restrooms are clean and the trails are well maintained. The hiking is fantastic and if you have lots of money a meal in the Lodge I hear is very good.

    Clean and pristine

This is one of the cleanest campgrounds I have visited. It has shower facilities with hot running water that are handicap accessible. The grounds themselves have always been litter free. Each of the designated camp sites come with electric for rv hookups. This campsite has a lake access with a swimming area and a Sandy Beach. There is also plenty of room for fishing and boating. This has been a yearly visit for me and my daughter.

Petit Jean State Park — Petit Jean State Park

    You need to camp here!

Petit Jean is a beautiful state park! The campground is very well maintained and has very clean bathhouses. The campground is split into two main sections. Section A is on the lake-side of the main road. It is full hook-up with very level sites, and there are several water front sites that book up pretty quickly. Directly across the main road is section B. This section has water and electric. Most of these sites are level enough, and include tent pads. Some of the sites weren’t laid out well, and have the water and electric on the wrong side or very far away. Definitely bring extensions for your utilities. There are two other sections attached to B that open up during the busy seasons. These areas are pretty tight to get into, and very few are level. I’ve seen some people with their rigs lifted over a foot on one side! As far as things to do, there are TONS of beautiful trails and things to see! The Mather lodge serves great food with a view that you won’t forget. A walk down from the lodge leads to the bottom of a gorgeous waterfall, although the amount of water definitely depends on the season. Rangers are very nice, and offer fun things like owl hunts and other educational tours. This is one of our favorite places to take the family! And don’t forget to check out Petit Jean’s grace site for some incredible sunrise views!

Beautiful Setting and lots to do!

This is a great park. There are several hiking trails of varying length and difficulty, interesting rock formations, beautiful overlooks that you can drive or hike to, a classic CCC lodge building with a restaurant, swimming pools, basketball courts, fishing, and more!

The campsites are layed out in A,B,C, or D loops. A has the full hook-up sites for RVs and is close to lake. These sites are pretty modern, flat, and very nice. It is more open then the other loops, but still plenty of space between campsites. The B,C, and D loops are not as refined, but do have more shade, electric and water hookups. Many of the pads are extremely uneven though, so be sure you have blocks, etc. to use for leveling your camper. Big tent pads at most sites if you are tent camping.

We were there on August 27-30th, and the A loop was full, but there were not too many people in the other campgrounds. We stayed in D and there was only one other camper there!

Would highly recommend this park for any type of camping. If you are bringing kids there is lots to do, if you are just looking for a quiet getaway it is great for that as well. Also, don't miss the fudge at the Outpost just east of the park!

Nice commercial RV park convenient to Hot Springs

I prefer to stay in COE, USFS, NPS and state parks but for my first time in a commercial park this wasn’t bad. It accepts Passport America so I paid approximately $17/night. Has cable, WiFi, full hookups and a very nice bathhouse. Sites are very level and it’s convenient to Hot Springs National Park. All sites are pull through and some are located on Lake Hamilton. It was a nice shelter in a storm (literally a huge thunderstorm system rolled through the area) so it was nice to just hang out and relax. No complaints and would definitely stay again. This is a great RV park.

    Dan's Riverview RV Park

Small, but all brand new.  Restrooms and showers are clean and beautiful. Full Hook Up's, firepits, and lights are great.  Dan, the owner is the best.  We arrived late and in the dark, rainy ARK weather Dan provided lights so that we could hook up.  Customer service is the best.  We will definitely stay here again.

    Okay for an overnight stay

Office staff (young lady named Elizabeth) was super nice and helpful. I got there after dark so could not really see what campground looks like until the morning. I just hooked up the electric due to cold temperatures. Temps were below 32 so I decided to go to bathhouse and shower since I didn’t hook up my water. I was pleased with the cleanliness of the bathroom but it was freezing in there! There’s a wall mounted Mr. Buddy heater but it was not turned on. I couldn’t get it to turn on and believe me I tried it was VERY cold that night. I headed back to my RV and got ready for bed. There’s a lot of long term residents type of people who are staying here. Someone was blaring the music or TV after 10:00 pm. Finally at 12:30 am I called the front office to their credit he went and addressed it and the music was cut off. I also noticed how loud the highway traffic noise was. Finally I looked in the morning and couldn’t find a place to throw my trash away. I am giving it 3 stars because it isn’t great but it isn’t awful. It’s just average. I give it 3 stars because of the office staff and the site was level. I wish quiet hours were enforced and the bathroom was heated especially in December when it was so cold 🥶. The sites are pull through but not paved.

So pretty but reservations a bummer

No reservations available & no shower house which are a bummer.

However, we got in just in time before a rush of other RVs. Picked site 41 & it’s perfect. Full hook up, perfect trees for lights, and a grill. No fire pit ring which is a bummer though.

The campground is beautiful. Hiked up the gorge today & was not disappointed.

I can’t imagine what this place is like when the weather is warmer...I’m sure it’s a packed mess, so happy we got to experience it in cooler temps.

Unfortunately though the spring bath houses are closed Jan 25- Feb 4 for park service maintenance. Bummer!

    Dardenelle Lake camping

This was a gem of a campground. Large spacious camp areas with full hookups. Level sites. Many of the campers were fishing Dardenelle lake. 2 bath facilities and a small beach within walking distance. 2 boat launch areas.

    Beautiful Lakefront Sites

Gorgeous lake front sites! This place is really popular in gluten summer time, so expect to book a year in advance. There are a couple of coves with waterfront sites that also have full hook ups. It was worth the year long wait!

The water is crystal clear and we could swim right from our campsites! We also took a Ranger led sunset cruise on the water. Excellent $10 excursion! We normally like the hike the trails, but it was too hot for hiking during our visit.

The also have cute camper cabins, an awesome walk in tent site area and clean bathrooms.

    White Rock Mountain Recreation Area

    Mountain top camping

White Rock Mountain Recreation Area, in the western Arkansas Ozarks, has a campground with 9 tent sites. One of these is a large group site. 8 sites are arranged along a gravel loop road. In addition to tents, these tent sites will accommodate a camper van; the best sites for vans are #1 thru 4. These are level. Sites 5 thru 8, on the west side of the loop, have great views, but are probably not level enough for van, truck and car camping. Each site has a level gravel tent pad, grill, table & fire pit. The sites are not large enough for RVs. The forest roads leading to the recreation area are rough in places, but passenger cars can make it. Amber, our host, is fantastic. She delivers firewood to your site after purchase. The vault toilet is clean. Pump water is available. No hookups. The campground appears well maintained. The OHT runs though the recreation area. There is a really good hiking trail that loops around the rim of the mountain, offering fantastic views of the Ozarks. T-mobile cell service is available with sporadic LTE data service.

    Perfect for family fun

This seems like a perfect spot for a family! Right on the lake, lots of activities to do and trails for hiking. Dog friendly. Easy enough to access with our 30 ft RV. Very level site (loop A site 4) with full hookups. Friendly folks too! I’m giving this 4 stars because as a couple without kids we prefer to be a bit farther out in nature and more separated from our neighbors, but there was enough space and privacy at this park. I couldn’t make a day-of reservation online so I called and they said we could just show up and pick a spot (it was a Monday night). Make sure you put the visitor center in on Google maps and stop there first to check in. They’ll let you know which sites are open.

Crystal Ridge RV Park at Ron Coleman Mine

Good price and close to the crystal mine

I don’t think camping at this RV park is about the camping experience; it’s about the proximity to the crystal mines. It is a good campground for the price, but it is not anything fancy.

However, if you travel to the area to specifically go mining for crystals then it is definitely a win because the crystal mines are only a rock(or crystal) throw away from the park.

This RV park is located near Coleman Rock Shop & Crystal Mines and Ron Coleman Mining (And yes, they are owned by the same family but they are different sites). Ron Coleman Mining is the site closest to the RV park and the Rock Shop is located on the corner of main st. Coleman Rock Shop is the more affordable option out of the 2 crystal digging sites.
