Campground itself awesome as for (Ty Floyd) the owner not so much

#1. We paid $135 in advance for 3 days and nights for 3 adult and 7 kids. On day two our kids was accused of throwing trash on the ground at creekbank ( lie ) we didn't allow our kids out of camp with food or drinks.

#2. Was accused of being neglectful parents for not being at waters edge anytime our kids was in the water even tho our kids had floaties or life jackets on and in site the entire time.

#3. We adults Was accused of vandalizing park table because we had placed extinguished cigarettes on the table keeping them off the ground.

#4. Wasn't told any park rules when paying or after until into the second evening.

When being griped at for using the provided electric and water we was told the camp sites was equipped with. ( No mention of extra charge at the time of reservation for using it).

#5. Was going to charge us for being there Thursday -sun when we arrived on Friday morning at approximately 8:30am.

#6.Griped about two visitors showing up. One of witch was just there a few minutes to pick up a member of our paid group who had to leave early.

#7.Their website says they understand things happen and people need to cancel their reservations so they give rainchecks in regards to refunds.

On the second evening when we needed to adjust our agreed reservations and  was told ( ABSOLUTELY NO ! ).

Note:  At no time was we asked to or told to leave but because of all above mentioned we chose to leave that second evening of our 3 nights.

Laid back and friendly!

This was my first camping experience since I was a kid and I loved it!! Everyone was so nice, but also gave us our space and didn’t try and start conversation. It did seem to be kind of a lawless land- no markings or signs to mark campsites, check in, or anything. To this day I have not been asked my name or my confirmation number!😂 Our spot backed right up to the river, and he said we could trim up some branches to make it our own if we wanted. But there was a big opening to the river just a 30 second walk away:) It’s a suuuuper clean river that doesn’t go above your knees, so perfect for walking around and cooling off. One downfall is there is only one bathhouse that has only one shower/toilet/sink combo, so there might be a good wait. However, when we went it was mostly RV’s there who have their own showers and toilets, so the waits were never more than say 10 minutes!

Mallory,

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us! As far as checking in goes we always have our guest come to the hangout building to check in. We didn’t ask your name because you were the last guest to check in so we already knew it.

We do not label the primitive disbursed campsites along the river because signage is prohibited within the high water mark by the corp of engineers as most of the year your campsite is under water.

We do have only one bathhouse however we are in the middle of constructing our new bathhouse which is 40’x40’ and will also feature a laundry mat. We hope to be completed by fall 2024. The only time there is a wait for the bathroom is on the three holiday weekends of the year and you were here Memorial Weekend. The rest of the year it’s not that busy.

Thanks so much for your feedback!

Diamond in the rough!

Awesome campground right on Mulberry River. From Full hookups, 50 amp to primitive camping right on the river. Mile long river hike , atv trails, 4 swimming holes, fishing kayaking , rafting( after spring rains). Owners are great and helpful. Surprisingly quiet. Park sells ice and wood. No w/ d. Offers long term camping for $500/ mo. Park well kept and clean. Very scenic.

Nice place

Not far off the highway, a little rustic. Not a big park, but quiet, lots of trees and close to the water, just like camping, has a nice swimming hole. Has ice there, but there is a store 8 miles away in case you forgot anything. Would stay again

Horrible Service

We attempted to stay here over the 4th of July weekend.(We have stayed once before and enjoyed the stay) Something came up that was out of our control. I asked for a refund and the owner refused to provide the refund. Mind you we booked and cancelled within 24 hours. He gave all kinds of reasons first was clearly on the invoice it states"rain check". In which is correct, but no where does it state no refunds. Now don't get me wrong if I booked in advance say more than 3 days and cancelled last minute I would feel obligated to pay as this hurts a business. BUT it was literally within 24 hours and I offered to attempt to reserve the campsites for him(call those that he turned away) so that he wouldn't lose any money. No response. Second reason was that he paid double on gravel just to accommodate our stay. I honestly don't do this. I hate conflict or exposing businesses in this manner, but this is by far the worst I have seen it. You can't deny the views, trail rides, and honestly the owners was so nice our first go around. A little expensive stay, but overall we had a nice time. I only suggested to the owner to add in"no refunds" to the invoice. It's the customer service on how they handled to respond and no understanding at all. The stay cost us$297.68 in which we will not get back and we will not stay here again. I understand he has a business to run, but when you start putting your business before your customers is when things go bad in my opinion. Business owners get money hungry and forget the customer service part. I would not recommend this place. To the owners: Again read the screen shots I have attached. Your statement is very deceiving and no where does it state NO REFUNDS. You literally are robbing people blind by not doing the right thing. You only care about the money not taking care of your customers. I feel sorry for people like you. Have a blessed day.

A great campground in the works

We stayed at Mulberry River Outdoor Adventures for a few days and had a great time. We spent most of our time swimming, fishing, floating and kayaking in the Mulberry River. The River access is great and there was plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the water. There is about a mile of River that is deep and slow moving (at least while we were there). My boys caught several species of fish, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, white bass, bluegills and sunfish. The tent sites are right next to the River but the RV sites extend away from the water. All of the RV sites have electric and water hookups. The first few spots have sewer hookups as well. The campground is still being developed so it was a little confusing picking our site, but once we were settled it was great. The campground has tubes for floating the River to rent, ice and firewood for sale and a single bathroom/shower house. Our time was very relaxing and Ty, the owner was very friendly. It sounds like he has some really cool plans for the place. We will definitely be back!

SiteSites aren’t numbered but we were at the first spot when you enter the campground.

Rustic and Rough

Not a Class A towing a toad kinda spot... instead bring your big trucks and Polaris off road machines! Lots of trail riding in the nearby hills going on. The river was raging on the night we stayed so no swimming at all. Our spot was kinda gravel with water and power. The dump was just a pvc pipe with no flush. The entry into the campground was steep and one mile off the Interstate down a small country road. Not for us but it worked....we would look for something else and not stay here again.

An up and coming hidden gem!

Simply put, this is a great little rustic place to get away from the hustle and bustle. The sites offer 20/30/50A hookups with water and septic. The sound of the river makes for a very peaceful setting and provides great background noise to lull you to sleep after a full day of hiking.

We stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed our time here. The owner, Ty was incredibly helpful and checked in with us several times to see how our stay was going and to see if we needed anything. We had 3 bars of service on AT&T which worked great to get in some work while we were here.

This is an up and coming campground in a great spot. We can’t wait to see the changes and improvements that are in store. We would definitely stay here the next time we’re coming through Arkansas!

Laid back and beautiful

My husband and I visited Mulberry back in November 2020 and we loved it. We’re driving to the Grand Canyon with the kids and decided to stop in again and stay the night. I’m so glad we did! The kids loved it so much. Everyone is so nice and laid back. The river is beautiful and the kids loved floating and playing in it. Sights have great views. Had a great time, hope to go back again soon.

Rustic, but beautiful!

This campground was a bit rustic as it is still developing, but the owner was fantastic, the hooks ups worked great, and we felt like we had our own piece of wilderness. Great hiking right up the road in the national forest, internet worked great for Verizon and ATT.

Great spot, Great Host

Loved the area and the natural setting. Ty was a wonderful host! It’s awesome to know that he built the whole place and put thought and love into it. You can rent tubes and float the river, fish or rent a buggy to off-road. We lived our 2 days here.

Nice size camp sites with good cover, nice camp pavilion with games and other things to keep busy. Very close to off-road trails and river float activities .. the owners are super nice and we liked hanging out with them. We’ll be back!

Laid-back getaway to set your own speed

This was my first visit to Mulberry River Outdoor Adventures, and it won't be my last. The property is more set-up for RV and ATV use but the tent site/s are surprisingly secluded. I need to talk about the property owner. He is incredibly friendly and accommodating. He greeted us with his precious dogs and hung out with us until we were settled in, telling us all about the property, trails, and nearby waterfalls. If you want a full and fast weekend, he can point you in the right directions, even take you there on his buggy. Or if you are in need of a quiet, relaxing escape by the water he will let you be. The RV'ers were friendly when we crossed paths.  This seems like the Cheer's of campsite. Everyone know everyone and strangers are welcome.  Very laid back.  My partner and I were the only tent campers that weekend (for a slow, quiet escape) so we chose the"island" tent site, which is maybe 100' from the water.  Wish I had brought hammocks to utilize the swing contraption on the shore (see pictures).

Bonuses:

1. If the Labradoodle likes you she will swim with you.

2. I am walking mosquito bait and was only bitten twice!

3. The nicest "outhouse" I've ever encountered. Cedar paneling, full shower, and hot water!!

Hidden Gem

The mulberry river is a ridden gem the runs through the Ozarks. It’s just a quiet beautiful place to camp, ride ATVs, float the river or just hangout with friends and families. This campground is great! It reminds of a more exclusive campground with limited spaces so it’s just a treat to camp somewhere that’s not crowded.

Stuff your eyes with wonder while taking all the roads less traveled. When confronted with a fork in the road be prepared to take both and probably chase a waterfall or two.

Most magical place to be

We started coming out every weekend since May. Our children love it!! Our friends come down for the afternoon to swim and trail ride. It’s the most magical place to spend with your family and friends. The Floyd family is probably the nicest family you ever meet. Kayaking, tubing, trail rides are just a few things you can do there. One trip there and you will be hooked!Spend the night in a tent under the stars or bring an RV and chill around the camp fire. If you forget something, someone most likely will have it because everyone is family there.
