      Egg Harbor, Wisconsin

When you’re ready to beat the summer heat, and enjoy some family-friendly camping and outdoor fun, it’s time to head for Harbour Village. Just an hours’ drive northeast of Green Bay, this 300-acre resort features waterslides, swimming and fishing ponds, splash pad, sand beach, sports areas, putt-putt golf, an RC racetrack, and several playgrounds. There’s also plenty of fun for big kids (adults) as well, including disc golf, horseshoes, and shuffleboard, and an adults-only pool and hot tub. The resort also has nature trails for strolling through the woods and watching for local wildlife, and an outdoor theater that shows movies on weekends that can be enjoyed from your own picnic blanket. The campground at Harbor Village features 200 tent and RV campsites so you can settle in just how you like. Tent campers can choose from modern sites with water and electricity, or more secluded, primitive sites for “roughing it.” RV and trailer sites are available with back-in and pull-through pads, all with hookups. Sites are available in wooded and open areas, and all are equipped with picnic tables and fire pits. Campground amenities include drinking water, bathhouses, laundry facilities, and recycling and dump stations. An onsite store sells groceries, ice, firewood, water toys, clothing and games. Dogs are permitted, but must remain leashed, and stay in designated areas. Seasonal campsite rates range from $28–$70/night; cabin rates $65–$190/night. If you want to double your fun at Harbour Village, plan your visit for one of their themed weekends. Pack your hats and boots for Cowboy Weekend, don your favorite Wisconsin sports team wear for Wisco Weekend, or come dressed as your favorite hero for Superhero Weekend—with a golf cart parade! For food and drink fun, plan to visit during Irish Fest or Oktoberfest. Join the festivities for Christmas in July, Summer Halloween, or the Pirate Pool Party Weekend. Come for scavenger hunts, craft sales, pet parades, community potlucks, and free, live entertainment. With so much fun to be enjoyed at Harbour Village, you may need to plan more than one vacation.

        North Bay Shore Park

        secluded

Peaceful, quiet, easy to book and well kept! Bathroom was ice cold and only cold water in bathroom. Very nice hot water in shower house. They made us pay for 2 nights when we only stayed for one on a Monday(not a weekend) but I’d absolutely recommend this campground! Very peaceful!!

        Very secluded

Very nice and and quite! Bathroom only has cold water but shower house has nice hot water. We are here on a Monday and it made us pay for 2 nights so that’s my biggest complaint but this is a very secluded and clean park so I’d stay here again!

        Nice location!!

Great place to stay! Big rig friendly! Gravel pads and each site comes with a picnic table and fire pit. Bathrooms in the campground were clean and I believe there were showers.

        Mountain Lakes

        Nice quiet spot

We were to only ones here camping. This area has 3 sites 2 next to each other west side of lake and 1 on the north side of the lake. All have lake frontage. We choose the single, north of the lake site. The only drawback to this site it is right on the road with mostly ATV, UTV traffic. I would stay here again.

Nice woody sites near the lake

We stayed in the primitive area which wasn't crowded at all just after labor day.  The sites were nice and wooded with lots of privacy.  It rained most of the time we were there so we didn't get to explore much.  Tried to walk down to the lake from our site, but just got to the top of the cliffs on the lake.

The automated pay system insisted we pay for 2 nights since they considered Thursday to be a weekend night.  This is just silly.  Thursday is NOT a weekend night.

We only spent one night due to the rain.

        Mountain Lakes

        Amazing view, not free

I stayed three nights over Labor day weekend. There was an ATV festival in lakewood that i was unaware of until arriving so there was a lot of dust and noise. ATV riders also frequently walk into your camp to use the toilet. I had to adjust my camp for privacy after the first couple of groups.

Aside from that the camp is the perfect size for vans, small trailers or tents. The ground is not very even but you could probably get one or two tents in there.

No fish in the lake. Don't bother trying.

The worst part was finding the pay station. Its at a campsite on highway T about 3 miles south of 64. It's $5 per night cash or check only. I spoke with a park ranger who was checking in at camps, he said they were going to post maps next year at each site.

There is a small easy to climb path straight down to the lake. It's a fairly soft, muddy bank but I was able to launch my kayak easily from there.

If you are hammock camping this is a fantastic spot.

        Boulder Lake

        Beautiful site

We had site 18 which is right on the water and across from the shower house. It was decently spaced out from the other sites. The shore was pretty level and easy to get our kayaks in and out. The shore is shallow and mostly sand. Nice for swimming. We did catch one bass off the shore. The firepit grate was most of the bars so that made grilling a little harder. Be aware the sites to the east are higher elevation and looked like it was steep to get down to the water. Shower house was nice and clean. The first night we did hear a bunch of teens yelling at the shower house around midnight, but they either got kicked out or left because we didnt hear them again. The waterfront sites are on the main road, so you do hear all the RVs coming and going. Definitely will go back!

        McCaslin Brook Dispersed site

        Nice sites along brook

There are three sites two small one large site which you can fit larger camper or RV in. Entrances need a lot of TLC washed out and large drop from paved road. Middle camp site has best access to brook I put a 8 foot pop up in it you could go bigger 20 foot max. One site I would say is tent only very tight. Wilderness toilet but they look pretty full.

        Shawano County Park

First stay at this campground and would definitely go back

Stayed for the first time at this campground in July and loved it. We stayed on a tent site, it was huge and had electric. I love that the campground is right on the lake and there’s quite a few amenities for people who boat. It is pet friendly and the bathrooms are quite a walk but clean and hot water is available.

        Chute Pond Park

        One of my favorite campgrounds

Chute pond park is one of my favorite campgrounds to stay at. They have reasonable rates, clean bathrooms and almost all sites are electric. There’s lots to do the whole weekend whether you want to go hiking, fishing, boating, small cliff jumping, or take a walk to slippery rock. This year they also have now available kayaks for rent at $20 per hour.

        Door County KOA Holiday

        Overall a good experience

We rented a camper for the first time and decided to go here. We appreciated the facilities and the fact that there was help available if necessary.

The campground is big with lots of sites. Some are in a big field that was really crowded. I’m glad we asked for a wooded site.

The biggest downside was noise. We were there over the 4th of July. There were golf carts that circled the campgrounds blaring loud music on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th of July. I get celebrating the 4th but this was pretty annoying.

But overall this was good. It helped me realize I prefer more remote camping. I’m not sure the resort feel of this KOA is for me, but that is a preference. There is a lot to like and a lot to do here.

        Beautiful beaches

The campground is clean and organized well, with each space separated by trees/bush/woods. The drinking water is not good so be sure to pack enough. The beaches are very clean and great for walking at different points in the day. Site 28 was a bit small.

        Wonderful, riverside campground !

Excellent campground! Well maintained and easy to maneuver around. Quiet and enough sun and shade for everyone. Owners are helpful and very nice! Nice playground for the kids, swim beach for great summer fun, campground store/food/drinks if you’re hungry or desire a cold drink to beat the heat and such amazing riverside views that melt the weeks stress away! We will definitely be back to this jem of a campground! Come see for yourself, don’t take my word for it!

        High Cliff State Park Campground

        Early spring Quick trip

Decided to get back into camping and decided to check out this semi local State Park. Alot of great walking and hiking spots, it was a bit chilly in mid April and especially windy down by the lake. Once up by the campground wind died down and was pretty nice. Site 53 was flat, had a fire pit, and picknick table. Despite being the closest site to the main road and entrance, didn't feel like it was too busy or distracting. Campgrounds were quiet and friendly. Will definitely come back once it warms up a little bit.
