Showed up Saturday evening and was able to get a great spot with a view of the river.

The good... peaceful, nice lake with some spots next to the lake.
The bad... not much of a camp store, the wifi is horrible, no Verizon service.
Was okay, didn't end up staying due to limited spots available. Close to water, sites are wooded. There are 10 drive up sites and 6 walk in sites.
This was one of the best place to spend a long weekend with your Friends & Family. We booked cabin for group of 8 people, and room was pretty good enough for all of the members. They have plenty of activities to do including River Rafting. New River Gorge bridge was amazing specially Long point…
I would hands-down stay here again. I even considered asking if they needed some seasonal help!
I needed a place close to the town and gorge for a basecamp.
The fact that they had reliable WiFi throughout the park was a huge bonus for a remote worker.
The staff was friendly, helpful, and the…

Ole' Henry's has a very nice setup with a Giovannis pizza restaurant and camp store on site. It is privately owned and the owners are very nice. Vicky and her family run it with some workers that make it very nice. The showers stalls can accommodate about 7-8 people at a time in the men's and…

This campground really is made for everyone camping. The sites are a good size but you can’t hVe more than one tent unless you get permission. If you have more than 2 adults you have to buy two sites because only one household per site and only one tent or RV per site. That said you can have an RV,…
The GPS led us up a gravel road with no signs for miles. Internet and cell service cut out within a mile up that road and we were not sure we were going the right way. The sights are on top of windy uphill mountain roads which we now call death mountain. Upon arriving, no one was as the visitors…
This is a beautiful, small state park with a combination of grassy and wooded sites. Some of the sites offer just water, while others offer both water and electric; none offer sewer, but there is a dump station near the check-in area. Bathhouse is clean with flush toilets, warm showers, and…

It's hard to beat a free campsite right on the river.
Got lucky to find a site here after trying both Grandview Sandbar and Glade's Creek on the other side of the road.
No AT&T service so I only stayed two nights (gotta work during the week!).
Still, it wasn't crowded and I enjoyed evening…
This was just an overnight stay for us as we passed through the area, but we will hopefully be back to check it out closer. Lots to do for the whole family! We stopped in on a Tuesday and I was shocked at how busy it was, but the sites are large enough that you have plenty of space for yourself. …
Staying in section 2. It looks to be very new. Fresh gravel at every site and the road. sites are very big and spaced far apart from your neighbor. Also has many pull thru sites.

We stayed at Beech Fork in our overlander tent, right on the lake. The sunrises were absolutely spectacular, tons of blue heron and ducks every morning floating on the water. We canoed through the lake and found an amazing site with a beach several miles from the campground only accessible by boat…
Literally the only downside to this spot was no cell phone reception for my niece and nephews to contact there parents and let them know how things were going. There was plenty of space for the kids to run around without disturbing anyone. And the sites were nicely spaced with plenty of wooded…

It was a nice location with nice scenery but the campsites are packed in like sardines when I go camping I want space from people that doesn’t happen when everyone is packed into the campsites. The other campers were nice but there were also some that weren’t.
