Campers with dogs have access to premium tent sites, RV spaces, and cabins in a peaceful setting near the Blue Ridge Parkway. The campground features well-maintained grounds with ample trash receptacles emptied daily and clean bathroom facilities. Dogs must remain on leash throughout the property while enjoying the spacious camping areas. Visitors note the campground is perfect for pet owners with its expansive, mowed fields providing plenty of room for dogs to exercise on leash. Rocky Knob Campground along the Blue Ridge Parkway also welcomes pets at its primitive tent sites and RV-suitable spots, though without hookups.

Nearby Floyd offers pet supplies and veterinary services, and Chateau Morrisette Winery just off the Blue Ridge Parkway is known for being dog-friendly. Wytheville KOA

      Awesome!!!

This place is amazing!! Dog park needs to be updated but the fact they had a dog park was amazing. There was live music, karaoke, candy scavenger hunts for kids, even a bowling ally! I recommend this 100%

Rocky Knob Campground — Blue Ridge Parkway

      Great overnight camping stay!

Rocky Knob Campground is right outside of Floyd, VA off the Blue Ridge Parkway in Southwest region of the state.

Why stay here? It's right outside of Floyd. They host Floyd Fest each year as well as a Yoga Jam. It's right off the Blue Ridge Parkway if you are traveling. Did I mention it's to Chateau Morrisette Winery?!

Our family stays here multiple times a year, it's a nice little getaway, yet still close to home. This Campground offers toilets and running water, but no showers so remember to bring your dry shampoo and bug spray depending on the time of year.

Sites are pretty close together, but we didn't mind. We pitched an 8 person tent, a hammock, and were quite cozy in front of the fire ring. Can't wait to visit again.

Good for families (kids ride their bikes through Campground), couples, singles.

What this Campground offers: -Friendly Park Ranger -$16 bucks per night if you drive up, $20 online, can't beat that! -Rest and relaxation -Picnic table -Fire ring -Bathhouse (no showers or paper towels) -trash collection near front entrance -camping for tents or campers -dog friendly -short distance from Rocky Knob -right off the Blue Ridge Parkway -close to Chateau Morrisette Winery -right outside of Floyd, VA (Dogtown Roadhouse, Floyd County Store, Oddfellas, etc)

      Fancy Gap-Blue Ridge Parkway KOA

      Nice Place, hard to navigate

We stayed here for vacation last year. There’s a nice dog park, and the facilities are clean. My only negative was that they had us camp up on the top of the hill and it was difficult to navigate back down, with some very sharp turns for our fifth wheel. They seemed to have some nice amenities, and the staff was very friendly.

      Wytheville KOA

      Nice Camground...lots of Activities

Nice, clean campground with friendly staff. Outdoor pool, mini golf, bowling alley and more to keep everyone busy. We stayed on Labor Day weekend so it was crowded and of course it was a bit noisy but would definitely recommend anyone to stay here and we would definitely go back. They also have two dog parks in the campground which is nice for your furry family! 😊

      Love's RV Hookup-Elliston VA 574

If you must stop, truck stop

I really like what loves is providing RVs. Groceries, gas, Arby’s, private showers, dog park and full hookups for a reasonable price. I’m a single female in a van, I wasn’t about to test out the private showers, but they have a great app to order food reserve your space and reserve a shower. Noise from road and trucks, but that’s to be expected - it’s a truck stop not a state park. I would stop here again if I needed a place to hook up, dump, and fill my propane.

      Fancy Gap-Blue Ridge Parkway KOA

      FANTASTIC!

I typically steer clear of KOA's because most of the sites are super close together. This KOA is different! There is a row towards the front that are pretty close together, but I think they use those for one-nighters. We were in a tent and loved our spot. The staff was UNBELIEVABLY awesome and nice. They have a pool, a pond, a playground, a dog park, and a great camp store. The bathrooms and laundry room are exceptionally clean. If you order ice or firewood, they bring it to your site. They also have food you can order and they will bring it to your site. I am sure there are many things I am forgetting, but this is a must stay and we will be back.

      Salthouse Branch Campground

      Great place!!

Great spot for tent camping! Loved the hillside spots bc of all the trees and the multiple levels that the spots are on. They are all built out and flat. Bathrooms are clean and campground was quiet. I had issues finding out if pets were allowed... they are! My dog and I had an awesome time and we will be back for sure.
