Lovely little campground

Been on the road 4 weeks and this is the best campground/rv park we’ve stayed at. Beautifully kept grounds, run by a lovely husband-wife duo. Nice level rv sites at competitive prices, we paid the extra $5 for a deck which was great. Bathrooms are so clean and feel like home. Trails and a pond as well. Couldn’t really ask for much more!

Thank you for the review. We love having motorcyclists and bicyclists stay with us. We have easy access from the BRP as well as food nearby. One restaurant even delivers. For those who'd prefer their own bathroom, we even have a motel. Thanks again!

Quaint little spot!

Check-in was a breeze, the host was rather friendly, and the frogs near the pond lulled us to sleep. We’ll definitely be visiting again!

The campground is so convenient to the BRP! The owners are friendly and easy to talk to. The campground is clean, scenic, and hilly.  We had no issue navigating with our 27' trailer.  We saw several class A's and a large 5th wheel here too.  All RV sites are on gravel and level. Sites are full hookup with 20, 30, and 50 amp receptacles available  Firewood is available.   We used the 2-washer laundry (not coin-op $5 wash and dry paid at office) with no issues.  Yesterday we drove to nearby Mt. Airy (Mayberry) and enjoyed the Andy Griffith Museum.  We would definitely stay here again.

Extremely Friendly Owners

The check in process went very smoothly. There weren’t any other tent campers; so, we were able to pick a different site than the one we reserved. The owners/operators could not have been more friendly. Our camp site was the most shady and the only site with drive-up access. The rest of the tent sites have close parking, though. The WiFi was decent, at times. The trails were overgrown from sparse use. But, they were there. The bathrooms were great and they clean them twice a day.

There were no loud campers and the weather could not have been any better.

We love that we often can be flexible about assigning sites. That always helps families enjoy their stay a little more. We're glad you had a memorable visit. July is a good month for a visit. It can be hot, but we do have the advantage of mountain breezes and low humidity. Hope you camp with us again.

Easy stop

On the blue ridge parkway. We stayed in one of the cabins, it was clean with fresh linens, a fridge, and microwave. Comfortable relaxing porch chairs to watch the sunset over the mountains. The owners are super friendly and helpful.

The cabins always make for a nice stay. They give you a camping experience without having to rough it all the way. The view over the parkway at sunset especially can't be beat. Thanks so much for staying with us. Hope you get to again.

Great spot right on the Blue Ridge Pkwy!

Camped in one of 5 tent camping spaces. They also have cabins / RV spaces and a motel. Check in was quick and the people running the campground were so friendly and great to deal with! Each site has a water pump and power. And the bathhouses are immaculate - showers are nice and hot and have good pressure. Firewood and fire starter available for purchase. Laundry room on site. Would absolutely stay here again!

Good Choice

If you like a clean restrooms / bathhouse; friendly owners, level sites, and a well maintained  camp ground then you have found the right place.

Don't let the size keep you from making a reservation.  Located right off the Blue Ridge Parkway the views are amazing.  You have access to several small towns and state parks with plenty of trials and things to see.

The camp site is well maintained.  Sites are level and spaced out for room to open your slide and awning.  Picnic tables and fire pits at every site.  There is tent camping and cabins or a hotel if that is your preference.

I will definitely be back.

Great Campground

We stayed one night at the Fancy Gap Cabins and Campground in our Riverside Retro 199FKS - and absolutely loved it! We did choose on of the 4 pull through sites which provide a great view but they are along the ring road so they are not really private. The back in sites appear to be roomy and rather private. They also offer cabins and tent sites. The couple that own/run the park are super nice and are huge dog lovers. They made me, my wife and our two large dogs very welcome. The park is right off the Blue Ridge Parkway and US52 in Fancy Gap. Also accessible near I77. We are going again in a week for a longer stay.

The pull thru sites at the top of the hill give you better views. You are right with the road going by they aren't as private. The sites down the hill don't have the view, but they are our bigger sites and closer to the woods and trails. We find our campers like having the choice. You are also correct to state the we LOVE dogs. We absolutely do. Although we have had cats and even a chicken camp with us. Hope to see you again. Thanks.

You hit the core of what we are about. Friendly and clean with a choice of accommodations (RV, cabin, motel and tent) in a beautiful little corner of the world along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Thanks.

First experience!

This was my first camping experience in a tent. My husband loves to camp so he found this place. The site was large enough for us. The bathhouse was clean, which was something I insisted on. There were several trails to hike. The view was gorgeous while we sat around the firepit and had smores. I would go again.

I could not be happier to learn that we helped make your first tent camping experience a good one. Here's to years of even better camping experiences.

Fantastic Campground

Fancy Gap CC is a great small campground with a rustic hotel, cabins, tent camping, and RV/Trailer hook ups. I've stayed here before tent camping, which was nice. This time I was caught in traffic and they had a cabin available, better than pitching a tent in the dark and rain. The cabins are sturdy, very clean, pet friendly, and complete with a refrigerator/microwave and coffee maker. The bath house is relatively new and kept very clean. The whole campground is tidy. You can tell tell the owners love the place. If Fancy Gap is relatively close to your travel plans, I highly suggest you visit for yourself.

Great small rv park.

Great small rv park in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Very level sites, considering the terrain. Many hiking trails . Very friendly owners. Will stay here again. Close to I77.

We do our best to keep our RV sites level. That makes staying with so much easier for folks planning to stay awhile for a vacation or those who are just pulling off I77 for a night. Thanks so much!
