Kayaking and canoeing are popular on the reservoir's quieter coves. A boat ramp, swimming beach, volleyball courts and horseshoe pits are located within the campground.
Anderson Cove lies at an elevation of 5,000 feet. Its open meadows and manicured lawns are lined with a variety of shade trees. Temperatures are warm during the day.

Ogden River Scenic Byway, this beautiful byway, beginning at the mouth of Ogden Canyon winds through 44 miles of Utah's most beautiful mountains and countryside. Rock walls and tree-covered mountain sides line the roadway that follows the Ogden River to Pineview Dam. Small islands dot the man-made reservoir and surrounding fields are either shades of green or snow-white. The magnificent Wasatch Mountain Range stretches heavenward and the mountains cradle the reservoir and small communities through which the byway passes in their gentle valleys.
Change and Cancellation Policies and Fees Overnight and Day Use Facilities: To ensure fairness, reservation arrival or departure dates may not be changed beyond the booking window until 18 days after booking the reservation. Camping / Day Use: A $10.00 service fee will apply if you change or cancel your reservation (including campsites, cabins, lookouts, group facilities, etc.). The $10.00 service fee will be deducted from the refund amount. You can cancel or change reservations through Recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777. Late Cancellations Overnight and Day Use Facilities: Late cancellations are those cancelled between 12:01 a.m. (Eastern) on the day before arrival and check out time on the day after arrival. Individual Campsites: If a customer cancels a reservation the day before or on the day of arrival they will be charged a $10.00 service fee and will also forfeit the first night's use fee (not to exceed the total paid for the original reservation). Cancellations for a single night's reservation will forfeit the entire use fee but no cancellation fee will apply. Cabins / Lookouts: Customers will be charged a $10.00 cancellation fee and forfeit the first night's use fee if a cabin or lookout reservation is cancelled within 14 days of the scheduled arrival date. Cancellations for a single night's use will not be assessed a service fee. Group Facility: If a customer cancels a group overnight facility reservation within 14 days of the scheduled arrival date they will be charged the $10.00 service fee and forfeit the first night's use fee. Cancellations for a single night's use will not be assessed a service fee. Group Day Use Area: If a customer cancels a group day use facility reservation within 14 days of the scheduled arrival date, they will forfeit the total day use fee with no service fee charge. No-Shows Camping / Day Use: A camping no-show customer is one who does not arrive at a campground and does not cancel the reservation by check-out time on the day after the scheduled arrival date. Reserved campsites and group overnight facilities will be held until check-out time on the day following your scheduled arrival. Group day-use facilities will be held until check-in time on your scheduled arrival date. If a customer does not arrive at the campground or group facility by check-out time the day after arrival or does not cancel the reservation by the times listed under "Late Cancellations" above, the customer may be assessed a $20.00 service fee and forfeit use fees. Refunds Customers must request refunds no later than 14 days after the scheduled departure date. Recreation.gov will not grant refund requests after 14 days of departure. Reservation Fee: For some facilities, tours or permits an additional reservation fee is charged. For some overnight and day-use facilities, an additional non-refundable reservation fee may apply. The non-refundable reservation fee for tours and tickets is $1.00. The non-refundable reservation fee for permits varies by location. Refunds for Bankcard Purchases: Refunds for bank card payments will be issued as a credit to the original bank card. Refunds for Check or Cash Purchases: Refunds for Recreation.gov payments made by check or money order, and cash payments at selected campgrounds will be issued a check refund. A refund will be processed within 30 days of receipt and approval. Please Note: Refund requests made during or after departure can only be processed when approved by the facility management staff based upon local policy. Refunds for Emergency Closures: In the event of an emergency closure, the Recreation.gov team will attempt to notify users and offer alternate dates (as appropriate). If this is not possible, reservations will be cancelled and all fees paid will be refunded. Reservation fees for free tickets are non-refundable in the event of an emergency closure. Clean facilities, but no water or power. The camp hosts were friendly and helpful. Our site was right near the creek, well shaded, and reasonably separated from neighbors. There are hiking trails that lead to climbing walls; we watched one climber struggle for 20 minutes to get past an obstacle. The downside here is the road noise, which could be overwhelming sometimes when motorcyclists, ATVs, or overwound street racers sped by. Access to some amazing scenery in the Wasatch Mountains makes it worth a visit.

Spot 19 is in the middle and seems to have a good view regardless of who is parked in adjacent spots, and spot 32 also seems to have a good view and the advantage of being on the outer edge so no backdoor neighbors. Park has a general store but we did not go inside. Bathrooms/showers are decent with sufficient hot water, but are not as nice as those at Wasatch Mtn.
Food aside: Had freeze-dried coconut curry chicken with extra packet of ready-to-eat Wal Mart chicken added and it was good. Also had chicken teriyaki with chicken packet added. Spiced both up with garlic powder.

The camp ground itself is not bad. You have all the amenities that you could wish for when you are on the road. Including sites with full hook up and showers plus toilets that are in good condition. The camp store has food and drinks available. Very positive were the ladies at the reception. Very helpful and very sweet.
But the location is rather disappointing. Its located at the end of an old street and right in front of a dam, enclosed by some hills. You can hear the nearby highway. Not very pretty.
It feels a little cramped, the individual spots are very close to each other, so there is not much privacy. Plus, it is very expensive. I paid 78$ for a full hook up spot.
Probably better to check out the camp site Hailstone Camp Ground right up the hill, in the Jordanelle state park. It looked so much more beautiful when I passed by there the next morning.

Campsite 148 We liked staying here because it's close to home and it is also close to gas stations and grocery stores. Our campsite had standing water right behind it so there were many, many mosquitoes! The traffic from the freeway was very loud and in the morning the trains would honk their horns waking everyone up. We will probably not stay again and just do day trips to the lake.

Stopped on a Sunday evening during a westbound cross country journey. Our 20’ van had no issues circling the road to find an open First-come-first-served spot, but would advise not much longer of a rig. We had to figure out the rules for finding and paying for an open spot, but it was all fine. This is a popular campground with many sites reserved far in advance, so last-minute FCFS openings on weekends may be rare.
ScoutMy family of five enjoyed this campground. We got a site with access to the river which my kids really enjoyed. There was a fun giant "sliding rock" in the area to climb on. Lots of trees for hammocks. Downside is it's right next to a busy highway and picnic areas. Although the campsite has quiet hours, the picnic area across the street stayed loud well past quiet hours. The road noise was a lot more than I expected.. especially at night. Definitely bring ear plugs or plan to stay only a nite or two. We planned on staying three nights, but were so exhausted by lack of sleep we left a day early.

Whatever was the reasoning for their bad behavior is not acceptable. I’d steer clear of this one. You will not have a good experience. They will badger and control your every move. Belittle and berate. Not shoot straight and take advantage of you. Go somewhere else.

GuideFollow the signs to the "new entrance" -- but it's well marked and well staffed. The campgrounds are well marked, but we found that our site was actually accessible going the opposite direction from the signage. So we went around the loop but this would have put the utilities on the passenger side, not the driver side. So we went back through the loop the opposite way (be careful of opposing traffic and there's limited space to maneuver, but this is the only way to properly access certain sites).
The picnic table had a gazebo over it, but it was occupied by wasps. We weren't planning to use it anyway as this was only a stopover for us, but this is something to be aware of. 50amp service worked great which was important for both air conditioners to work on this 102 degree day!
Overall the camp ground was super quiet. Keep in mind that there are no in/out privileges after 10pm. If you leave, you may not be able to get back in and this is documented on the checkin documentation. There is plenty of good grocery shopping for supplies located to the north and south (I went north). Beautiful campground but the sun and heat are a little relentless so be prepared with good AC, shade/awnings and other cooling methods.

This site was very big & the creek surrounded on two sides. It even had 2 picnic tables. When we were here, this part of the campground was empty across from us & site beside us was empty which we loved! We got to listen to the birds. The campground kids enjoying the playground & pool were on the other side of the creek beyond a thick stand of trees.

We did not have reservations and with two long back to back travel days heading home, we needed an easy place to land close to the interstate. $60 for one night electric and water which we did not need for our teardrop, but all sites were the same price which included park fees.
Very nice staff and host found us a spot with which even had a limited view of the lake. Site was brand new with pull through that would easily accommodate a larger rig. Had a nice pavilion type cover over the picnic table, fire ring, and restrooms and showers were new in the section we were staying in.
As sun went down the mosquitos started to swarm and chased us inside. Haven't experienced that level of bugginess outside of several of the swamps we camped at in the southeast. Middle of the night a skunk visited our campsite and hung around for quite a while. Traffic noise from I-15 was excessive.
Don't let the pictures fool you. Views were ok in most directions but what I did not show was the large commercial storage yard used by the park service which was directly next door to our campsite. Fee's should have been much lower given the location but we did not have reservations and were fortunate to get a site.
If camping in a traditional RV this is an ok option, and it is cheaper than some of the commercial campgrounds nearby. Would stay here again if we needed an easy overnight stopover as the location is terrific.
TravelerWe stayed here for one night didn't go past the gate we just camped pretty much on the side of the dirt road next to the reservoir. It was really nice and quiet wildlife everywhere billions of stars to look at that night.

Gorgeous view across the lake. Quiet. Electricity worked well. Extremely clean. Camp hosts were nowhere to be found and another rig had claimed the end lake-adjacent site I paid for. They dumped their chairs and cruised to town, missing the sunset! Oh well. Still a peaceful evening. Didn’t try the showers, but they looked nice (located at start of loop near entrance).

Everyone here was so nice and the staff was absolutely fantastic and so accommodating. Good spacing between tent sites, and they were spacious. It’s set up in a loop with all the amenities right in the middle so no matter where your spot is you’re just a tiny stroll away. Heated pool when it’s in season, and they seem to host a lot of fun events! I missed the ice cream social sadly. They also have air hockey and a ping pong table in the office building. This was my favourite KOA so far!
Note: Bring bug spray! I got bit a fair amount by mosquitoes.

ScoutI drove out here to camp. The road there was amazingly beautiful, and very steep with lots of switch backs. The campground is wonderful spot. The camp host was very kind. Although, I could not stay here. There are no dogs allowed anywhere on Wasatch Mountain because it is a protected watershed. And there was a sign posted-no dogs. It would be good to update this on the Dyrt page. Saw a deer on my way out. Wish I could have stayed.

We wound up at site 032. It’s small - too small for me to set up our suv tent so we spent a very squished night in the car. Neighbors we VERY close. Definitely road noise during the day. Other then that it was beautiful. Right by a stream, good hammock trees.
