Lake Georgetown is a reservoir on the north fork of the San Gabriel River in central Texas. The dam was completed in 1979 to provide flood control and water supply for the nearby community of Georgetown, and now provides countless recreation opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts. LCRA Bastrop Lake North Shore was a beautiful location, great beach access, and warm water. We stayed in sites 71, a pull through, and 76, a back in. Sites are large and accommodating a variety of rigs. Undesirableness of the park --Grounds were not kept very well. Huge fire ant mounds everywhere. Grass was pretty tall, making it very difficult to watch for ant mounds, not to mention snakes. We were there for an entire week Monday-Monday, and you would think that they would make sure the Grounds were mowed and ready for a busy weekend, this was not the case.

I passed off about 75 feet between sites. Most have views of the lake. At the moment the water level is very low and facilities near this campground are high and dry.

The only reason I gave it 4stars is because of a lot of street noise outside the park. The park itself is beautiful and quiet. Great bathroom fac; very new and clean. All of the tent sides have sand tent pads, but if you’re a hammock camper be sure the trees fit your kit.
Very nice multi use campsites with tent pads and picnic tables and large flat parking pads. Sites were spaced apart and felt very private. The bathrooms are very spacious and clean. There were nice separate individual showers with hot water and nice dressing area. Several trails nearby and a short walk to the Guadalupe River where there was plenty of additional parking and picnic tables.
The park is on Lake Georgetown which is beautiful. Lots the f mature trees. Campsites have some decent separation. Sites have covered structure with picnic table. Also have fire pit and barbecue. Some spots have direct view of lake. Bathrooms are ok but only reason I do not give higher review.

Small, but very clean / new restrooms. Lots and lots and lots of fields, walking trails. Perfect for dogs who like to run. In January no one is here, all by myself. Great rates, they also offer primitive sites where you hike in just a little.
