    Manor, Texas

River Forest Haven is a unique space that seeks to bring you closer to nature. We do not artificially light the camp and we strive to leave as much of the property in its natural state as we can. This provides a unique experience that is not your typical campground as we keep all of our campsites tucked under lush natural canopies. Car and tent camping works great! For most sites, you can easily drive up to your spot. Arrive, take a look around and settle into your site. We are always happy to deliver any of our items from our general store- just message us or give us a call and we will come by.

With nearly half a mile of Colorado riverfront to swim, fish, toob, paddle-board, kayak, and canoe*, along with 30 acres to hike and explore, River Forest Haven is also a quick 20-minute drive from downtown Austin.

River Forest Haven is the perfect place to unplug and get back to nature. Finally, a place where being disconnected is actually a good thing.

    Okay time

It was a fun time. Site 100 was away from everyone and it was nice and quiet. I enjoyed my time here as a first time travel trailer person. It was nice. I didn’t use the bathrooms there and I didn’t see the showers but I’d go back.

    Lake Bastrop North Shore Park

    Beautiful location

LCRA Bastrop Lake North Shore was a beautiful location, great beach access, and warm water. We stayed in sites 71, a pull through, and 76, a back in. Sites are large and accommodating a variety of rigs. Undesirableness of the park --Grounds were not kept very well. Huge fire ant mounds everywhere. Grass was pretty tall, making it very difficult to watch for ant mounds, not to mention snakes. We were there for an entire week Monday-Monday, and you would think that they would make sure the Grounds were mowed and ready for a busy weekend, this was not the case.

    A little slice of heaven!

We camped with both a motorhome and a tent. The people who staff this park could not work harder to make your stay incredible. We really enjoyed tubing and fishing, but the campfires were the best. The staff will deliver a generous amount of dry fire wood for $15. We would definitely stay again if the opportunity presented itself.

    Peaceful and Comfortable

Taylor Park was a great place to see the 2024 Solar Eclipse, right in the path of totality. The sites were very well maintained and adequately spaced so as to offer some privacy even though there was very little bush coverage between the sites. The bathrooms and showers were in need of updating and a couple of the toilets were overflowing while the others needed the handle held down to do a complete flush. The trail was not correctly mapped and there was no museum as indicated on the trail map. Our stay was peaceful and comfortable.
