Erie KOA accommodates dogs and cats at their tent sites, RV spaces, and cabin rentals with a clean, family-oriented environment. Sparrow Pond Family Campground also welcomes pets, offering water and electric hookups at all sites with fire rings and picnic tables. Both campgrounds maintain level gravel sites with grass areas, though Sparrow Pond sites can be closely spaced during peak season. Most pet-friendly campgrounds in the area enforce standard leash policies, with pets required to be supervised at all times. Mitchell Lake Campgrounds and Follys End Campground both offer pet-friendly options with full hookups for RVs. Sites aren't typically on top of each other, providing reasonable space between camping neighbors.

Campers with pets enjoy access to fishing opportunities at several locations, with Follys End situated along a stream that provides a nice hiking area for dogs and their owners. French Creek Flood Plain Overlook offers a more primitive camping experience with pets allowed at its single tent site. For RV travelers, Sara's Campground and Lampe Marina Campground provide pet-friendly options with electric hookups near Lake Erie, allowing convenient access to shoreline areas. West Haven RV Park places tent campers in more secluded spots away from RVs with good spacing between sites. The Erie region campgrounds are generally quiet at night, making them suitable for pets that may be sensitive to noise. Presque Isle State Park is within driving distance of several campgrounds, offering additional dog-friendly outdoor recreation opportunities.

      Goddard Park Vacationland Campground

      Near Beautiful Lake Wilhelm

Nice park with very friendly staff. My only complaint is the sites are way too crowded. Also a little uneven. I love that this park is close to Lake Wilhelm & Goddard State Park for fishing and bike riding. 2 pools and a dog park.

      Mosquito Lake State Park Campground

      Big, beautiful lake!

Great park! Sites are spacious and level. Very clean park. There are several full hook-up sites. Electric sites near the lake. We stayed at site #96. New Bathrooms are under construction. Campground is flat and great for bike riding. Nice playground for kids. Dog park nearby. Camp is near beach & marina. Also many shops and restaurants within a 10 minute drive. We will definitely be coming back to Mosquito Lake!

Jamestown Campground — Pymatuning State Park

      Great state park

Nice shower and bathrooms for a state park.

I didn't like that pets are not allowed in the non-pet area as that was where the playground and swimming beach was. Made it difficult to swim and play as a family since you can't leave dogs alone at the campsite. I wouldn't bring my dog next time to this campground. There are other more dog friendly places.

Very nice areas for walking, kayaking, swimming, and playground.

      Westfield-Lake Erie KOA

      1st stop across country

This campground is very clean on the smaller side but very nice. There is highway noise but in your camper you really can’t here it. Beautiful temp and lots of things for the kids to do. Pool, playground, game room. They do have a dog park if you bring your pups. Overall very nice. I would come back.

      Mosquito Lake State Park Campground

      Great place!

The sites are huge. The dog park is amazing. Theres so much to do here. Swimming, boating, fishing. We love it. Only bad are no real bathrooms except at the front of the park. No place to wash dishes. Rough if you're tent camping. But we love the sites so much that we keep coming back.

      Willow Lake Campground

Nice and quiet with good layout

The sites are big with a range of surfaces available. Family run and immaculately kept. Grassy areas are cut and lush, showers and bathrooms are very clean and the layout is excellent. They have a dog park that is fenced in, no bare spots (all grass), a rock and other apparatus for dogs to climb and they even have a fire hydrant! Plus two shady spots under trees for adults to sit and relax. If we are ever going through their area we will definitely stay there again.

      Willow Lake Campground

      Always Satisfied

This is the second time we have camped here. The first time back in 2020 we paid for the cement pad spots and had zero issues. There aren’t any shade trees near the cement pad sites but the sites themselves are immaculate. This Labor Day weekend we stayed in a pull thru gravel spot. Minimal effort to get leveled and set up. Staff is friendly, site is beautiful with a few smaller trees. Nice play area for anyone who has kids. Dog park is also very nice sans the fact you have to walk past the bee infested dumpsters to get there! This is probably the most quiet campgrounds we have stayed at in the past 2 years! Very relaxing and a great place to stay!

      Mosquito Lake State Park Campground

      Great State Park Campground

We just got back from our first trip to Mosquito Lake State Park Campground. All in all, it was a great experience.

We stayed in site 67, which is a waterfront site, with electric. The water is about 25 yards from the pad, but is visible from the entire site. The site was spacious, but not as private as some of the others. There is some woods between this site and the sites on either side, but other sites are visible. The fire pits and picnic tables were staggered, so it created some distance to make it feel more private.

The campground as a whole, was very quiet. We stayed from Wednesday to Friday. The group next to us seemed a little rowdy when we first pulled in, but by 10:00 there was no noise anywhere near us.

Most sites seemed pretty level from side to side, but where we were, several had a slope from front to back. Away from the waterfront, most sites looked pretty level. The amount of space between sites varied from site to site. Some sites had woods on both sides, while others were pretty open. Some had nice large grassy areas, others were much smaller. Sites from 214-224 are in a cul de sac and are water front, but they were pretty close together with very little privacy between sites, if any. They are very close to the water though.

There are bathrooms and water scatter about, but from what I saw there was only 1 shower house.

Wal-mart and other shopping and restaurants were about 3 miles away. Park was easy to get to, only one turn for us off the highway. Lake was great for kayaking and paddleboarding. Very nice dog park in a different part of the park. There is a boat launch accessible from inside the campground.

Dump station has 2 lanes which was nice when checking out. Fresh water fill up was also located near the dump station.

      Westfield-Lake Erie KOA

      Overnighter

We only stayed for an overnighter on a long trip west. The restrooms and showers are some of the best we’ve seen during our trip. Very well maintained facilities and grounds and the staff are friendly and helpful. We were able to change our site for one that was more level without a problem. The only thing that might bother some people is the road noise. However we were able to sleep well despite it. There is also a dog “park”/fenced area.
