Awesome experience

My husband and I stayed in Teepee number 3. He has never camped before except being a marine. We love it. The ladies at the front desk answered all our questions and gave us suggestions on places to go. It was Halloween themed weekend and the extent of planning they do for the patrons was outstanding. Only issue we had was the water pressure in the showers were horrible

Never again

We came here the weekend of August 14, 2021 and it will be our last! Friday night was ok, but when Saturday afternoon came all hell broke loose when the electricity went out in over half the campground! We all heard that the electric would be back up within and hour and a half. After about two hours I went to the office to find out if there was any new word on what was going on with the electric because I had started dinner in a crockpot and was told that, my refrigerator will keep my food cold for up to two days and multiple excuses why the power outage was not their fault and not their problem. At which time one of the owners stepped out of her office and stated that they have two pools to cool off which had nothing to do with the electric and dinner issues at hand! Then check out on Sunday came which was very “pleasant”; the kid at the desk was very kind asked how our stay was, when we told him that it wasn’t the greatest because of the power outage he handed us a slip for one free weekend on our next trip to be used by October. We explained to him that when we get home that we would be cleaning up our camper to sell and asked if it was possible for a partial refund on this trip; at which time the same owner came out with an attitude just about screaming that they don’t even have to offer anyone anything and ripped up the free night stay that was off to us. I calmly explained to her what I told the kid and also explained that not only would we be able to camp there again this year, but will never come back due to how they treat the people that just want to enjoy a weekend get away. I wouldn’t recommend this campground to anyone. Ignorant owners, hearing power outages are common there by other campers and not so clean bath houses!

Clean Ghetto NCY Vegas strip?

Lets start out by saying that it could have been worse. Not sure how much but it could have been worse.

Started out by arriving at the grounds.

You need cash for everything. This place is scaming someone.  I'm sure they the government is not getting what they should be with an all cash business.

They show us on the map our full hookup. We get there and learn from other campers that we have to pull through but backwards all utilities are on the wrong side. Even our fire ring and picnic table was on the wrong side.

While we were there we found that there were over 500 sites only thing is that almost all of them are seasonal. Just about every seasonal camper has a golf cart. Some with loud stereos flashing lights and just about all of the drivers are drinking . Even seen kids jumping off being pushed off and trying to jump on them. Great entertainment if you are watching jackass the movie. It's not relaxing at all.  I used to live in the city and near NYC. This place looks like the Vegas strip or time Square but instead of taxies .........gulf carts until 11pm. They say there is a strict 5 mph.....yeah right cars and gulf carts zipping by all day till 11 pm.

The seasonals well I think that they let other campers in so they the seasonals can stare gock and look at you like we are a display in a department store window or a zoo exhibit. Every time they go by zipping on their carts

The spaces are so tight that one can barely fit between the next rv.   So now you have to turn up your music just to listen to what you're into.

The pools....1 is for adults only.........unless they have changed the age of adults.......there were kids in both pools.

Staff was rude and ignorant well 99.98% of whom we had encountered. The best example is when my wife and I went to the snack/ice cream place in the park. We arrived approximately 30 minutes before they closed  we waited to be waited on. We can see 3 or 4 girls in the window talking and laughing among themselves. Ignoring us calling for them.  Before we knew it..it was quiting time. On of the teens turned around and slammed the window closed and another turned off the lights.

I could go on

Bottom line is if you are not a seasonal member don't go.  None of the seasonals want you there

Unhappy camper - again

I told my wife that this was the rotten place that we stayed at before. She insisted that was somewhere else but there we were, all the people complaining about the nasty manager lady as we are swimming by AND the creepy, chubby manager dude with the grey goatee, ogling the little girls a little too long. Why are those people still there?? All she does is sit outside the office and smoke cigarettes and he creeps around. Everyone hates them and will smile to their faces but they're horrible!

Pros: paved roads, mostly clean bathrooms and two swimming pools. Cons: Teeny, tiny sites. Bingo hall bathrooms are gross. Awful, rotten egg smelling water. The beds in the cabin rentals are rock hard. Horrible WiFi. Good luck if you’re there and the electric cuts out. Very few activities (which you will also hear about"there used to be so many activities" "Lisa never has any activities any more") Good grief, the people are unhappy but I guess, too cheap to move on to a better place? The entire staff complains about them constantly, especially Rhonda in the office. I just came in to buy ice, lady, I don't need to hear about much you hate your boss!

I would suggest you keep looking rather than tolerate this toxic place and all the unhappy seasonal people and employees. Save your money and vacation time for a nice place with decent management.

Very very clean

I will preference by saying this is not our first time camping. I can’t say enough. Very very clean. Our site was level. No issues with any of the hookups. We have a 38 ft trailer and had plenty of room. All the seasonal residents we came in contact with were kind. The Snak Shak had good food options. Their ice cream was especially good! Very family friendly. Not sure if it was dumb luck, but we did not experience any bug issues. If I have a singe knock, if you get site 17-3, make sure the fire ring is new. Ours was pretty beat up and old.

Near Beautiful Lake Wilhelm

Nice park with very friendly staff. My only complaint is the sites are way too crowded. Also a little uneven. I love that this park is close to Lake Wilhelm & Goddard State Park for fishing and bike riding. 2 pools and a dog park.

Family Friendly but Going Downhill

I’ve been going to this campground since I was little! There were always activities set up for all ages to make sure that no one was ever looking for something to do. The new owners make no attempt to shape up the campground and continue on with fun things to do. There are a few, but it’s not the same.

Great family fun

We come here each Labor day for a long renting weekend. Our dog comes with us and we always have a good time. Sites are not too close, you have your privacy and the bath house is close and clean. The pools are great and lots of eve and ts each night, including karaoke which us fun to listen too
