Westfield-Lake Erie KOA

Accessible via I-90 with full hookups for RVs up to 70 feet, Westfield-Lake Erie KOA operates seasonally from mid-April through November. The campground provides electric, water, and sewer connections along with standard KOA amenities including WiFi, a dump station, and pet-friendly policies with reservations available year-round.

Staff members escort arriving campers to their assigned sites via golf cart, a service multiple visitors appreciate for navigating the compact layout. The sites feature grass surfaces with mature trees providing shade, though spacing runs tight with fire rings positioned close together. Greg D. notes the grounds are "very well maintained" with staff willing to relocate guests to more level sites when needed.

The facility's restrooms and shower buildings receive consistent praise from campers. Individual locking shower rooms include full bathrooms with sinks, toilets, and baby changing stations. A camp store stocks RV supplies and parts, while an on-site kitchen delivers food directly to campsites for those without nearby restaurant options. Amenities include a swimming pool, playground, game room, and fenced dog exercise area.

Interstate 90 runs directly behind the property, creating continuous traffic noise that some campers find disruptive while others report sleeping through it without issue. A small county park sits directly across the street on Lake Erie's shoreline, providing picnic tables and lake access within walking distance. Shannon C. describes the atmosphere as "very quiet & relaxing" despite the highway proximity.

The location serves as a convenient base for exploring the Chautauqua-Lake Erie wine trail and accessing nearby beaches with lifeguards at Point Gratiot Park. For extended stays, consider bringing extra power cords for longer RVs and plan for potential noise from both highway traffic and occasional freight trains.

Many campers appreciated the exceptionally clean facilities and helpful staff who escort guests to sites. Highway noise from I-90 was commonly noted as a concern. Family amenities and proximity to Lake Erie were frequent highlights.

Nice quiet campground

The manager is super nice and helpful, the showers and laundry room clean & bright. The lots are nicely shaded with big trees & at night I cud smell grapes from the local vineyards, a nice surprise :) Across the road is a little park right up against Lake Erie with picnic tables & lots of shade!

Overnighter

We only stayed for an overnighter on a long trip west. The restrooms and showers are some of the best we’ve seen during our trip. Very well maintained facilities and grounds and the staff are friendly and helpful. We were able to change our site for one that was more level without a problem. The only thing that might bother some people is the road noise. However we were able to sleep well despite it. There is also a dog “park”/fenced area.

1st stop across country

This campground is very clean on the smaller side but very nice. There is highway noise but in your camper you really can’t here it. Beautiful temp and lots of things for the kids to do. Pool, playground, game room. They do have a dog park if you bring your pups. Overall very nice. I would come back.

Great overnight stay, but...

This is a really nice koa! Very friendly and helpful staff. Check in at the front desk and get a golf cart escort to you spot. I imagine if the park were full( it wasn’t this day) it would feel rather cramped. There’s a nice kitchen/sink for cleaning up after a meal and the bathrooms are wicked clean!!! There’s also a really nice little wooded area adjacent to the property, with a beautiful slate-shelved stream, benches and well lit in the evenings. A ‘shroom foragers paradise!!! 🍄🍄🍄 I would have loved to give this spot 🌟🌟🌟🌟 but for the noise. It’s very close to I90 and therefore the traffic noise is ever present.

Nice Overnight Stay

Great stay across from Lake Erie. It is a quiet family atmosphere. Upon arrival I was escorted to our campsite. We have a very long travel trailer (37.5 feet). I recommend having an extension power cord handy just in case if you are this long. I was able to angle my truck as I needed a few more feet to reach the pedestal. In a real jam they have a huge store with lots of parts for RV life. The kids loved the playground and the pool was very clean. The campground is spaced out nicely. Lots of room, did not feel stacked on our neighbor. Would stay here again!

The perfect stop on a road trip

This was our pit stop between Niagara Falls and Pennsylvania. The campground is small but has a lot to offer. We are new to the RV, and the staff was incredibly helpful with tips and tricks. We had already hooked up our RV when we got hungry. There aren’t any restaurants around that deliver, so the KOA has a kitchen that delivers! We had delicious pizza and mozzarella sticks for dinner. GORGEOUS and incredibly clean bathrooms. A 1.5 mile walk down to a beautiful beach on Lake Erie.

Neat and clean

Typical KOA, right off I-90. Small county park across the street on the shores of Lake Erie. On the higher range price wise for aKOA. $55. There is a small kids playground, fishing pond, food truck on site.

Nice but noisy

This was just a quick overnight as we travelled I-90 west. It’s a generally nice campground, typical KOA with tightly packed sites with lots of kids and noise. We were greeted by an employee when we drove in and they escorted us to our site. We were in site #66 which had an electric hookup and was fairly level and grassy. Glad we had good neighbors because our site was very close to them, even the campfire rings were only about 5 feet apart, which is a curious layout. The bathrooms and showers here are by far the cleanest and best we have seen yet at any campground. Individual locking shower rooms large enough for the whole family if needed, complete with nicely tiled shower, sink, toilet, outlets, even a baby changing table. Very new and modern, exceptionally clean. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 due to the noise level: I-90 abuts the back of the property so you can hear semi trucks all night long, and there also seemed to be freight trains going through nearby with some regularity. There is a nice park across the street, and a marina/pier on Lake Erie just down the road. They offered a snack bar which would deliver your food right to your site - a nice option!

Nice, clean, small KOA

Nice little campground. Stayed for 7 nights, & spent 1 day in Buffalo & 1 @ the falls. Wanted a chill community & this was very quiet & relaxing. There is a park right across from the campground on Lake Erie. Would have given 5 stars if there was more to do on grounds.

Things to do if you stay a few days

  • Luensman Overview Park
  • watch sunset on the beach
  • wine trail (Enjoyed Johnson’s)
  • beach day. We went to Point Gratiot Park because they have a lifeguard on duty & they allow swimming.
