Rough around the edges

Has so much potential! We enjoyed the stay but we’re on high alert a bit. Between 80% of the spots being vacant on a Saturday and a homeless guy on the far end, this place didn’t put off the safest vibes. That said, our #8 spot amenities - fire, table, water, electricity and spot - were great. And…

Nice Place with Lots to Do

This large campground is off highway 62 at Lost Creek Lake. There are water and electric hook ups and non hook up sites available.

$25/dry

$30/water and electric

We stayed here twice, once in a non-hookup site and we used a hook up site during a heatwave so we could have a/c. Nicely…

We drove through and chose not to stay

This portion of the camping area is called Oak Slope, the other being on the lake for RVs for residents displaced by fires.

For Oak Slope:   Imagine a steep tiered parking lot with narrow spaces. The whole campground is on a hill so the higher sites just look down on the lower sites. Most…

Decent campground

This park is located between the Rogue River and the highway. Road noise is a problem.

There were also a lot of fish flies crawling and buzzing around (see previous review!). If you’ve never seen a fish fly Google them they are quite large and like to land on you!

The campground is…

Beautiful But Be Aware

Take the River Bridge turn off from Highway 62 and follow the road which turns to gravel, potholed and some washboarded road. Stay on the main road until you pass the actual campground and go over the bridge.

We did drive through the River Bridge campground which was $15/night but opted for…

One of several RV parks to make it through the fire of 2020

This park is one of several that came through the fire.   Years ago HWY 99 was dotted with RV stopping places from Ashland tp Medford.  We stopped in to empty our tanks.  The desk staff were friendly and helpful.   For 8 bucks we were able to dump, rinse and fill up our fresh water (Two different…

Very remote but with fairly easy access.

. Right on a beautiful swimming hole.  Has pit toilets. Even if you find other campers there (rare) you can’t hear anything due to the river. Several other campsites around as well. Chose one directly on the river. Plenty of firewood around. Filtered water from the river. Another campsite 45…

Beautiful Spot, Right on River

My friend & I rode north from Eureka to explore Bear Camp Rd. After a beautiful ride up the coast, we turned inland to find heat & Agness. We first looked for Illahe (closed) then found this. Great spot, excellent shade, and nice restroom. Lots of cars in the adjacent parking lot (people…

Not dispersed!

We didn't actually stay here. We just want people who filter the app for dispersed camping to know that this is NOT dispersed.

Cute RV Park near the river

Super friendly rv management and staff- could not have been more welcoming. There are 2 dog runs, laundry, showers and bathrooms on site. Small store in the management office for sundries and rv gear. There are some full timers who live in the park but seem to be isolated in 1 part of the…

Four-inch Bugs!

So I paid for just one night and as I arrived there was no indication of where the hosts were. I knew my site so I drove to it and sure enough, it had my name and was reserved. I had already paid fees in advance so I figured if anybody needed me they would find me. The table and firepit were a…

Remote and Quiet

This was quite a way in on a fairly smooth but steep dirt road. Along the road were random deep pot holes so be aware they sneak up on you when the road is shadowed. The last .3 miles was steep and though we made it in 26ft rig I would not attempt it again. I could see major problem if rain was…

Lots of Weird In and Out Traffic

This could be a really nice campground. It is a bit rundown and overgrown, though sites along the creek were nice. We drove in and did not need a reservation, but reservations are available 3 days in advance.

Non hookup sites are $15 and partial hookup sites are $25.

Easy access, spacious and well maintained

We just stayed one night with some fellow rv’ers. They were in spot C11 which has 3 trees PERFECT for 2 hammocks and great shade. We were in B30 which was just ok. Overall it’s a nice park with trails but I felt like we were being nitpicked by the camp hosts about everything. Our wheels on the…
