RangerWe chose an RV hookup site for our 40' coach with tow vehicle. 30 amp power but based on forecasted cold weather they had turned off the water at the sites. Potable water was available at the dump station. Free warm showers and flush toilets. However, the bathrooms are old and appear dirty and grimy (rust stains, chipped paint, etc). Great walking and bath paths at the park and close enough to visit Crater Lake National Park. Large trees within the park though it doesn't provide much privacy with camp neighbors. In late October they had reduced the open loops but there was a good mix of tent and RV campers.
LegendAt highway 66 near Ashland this park has both RV and tent sites. The RV sites are full/partial hook up (30 amp only) and dry camping. Note though that even if you pay for partial or dry you will still need to pay $10/dump your tanks. We opted for just full hook ups here. The tent sites are near the creek.
There was some work being done that appear to be some upgrades. There is a nice pool area, a pond and the creek. The sites are level with picnic tables and fire pits. There are bathrooms, free hot showers, laundry, dog run, playground and store. Also available is propane ($3.50/gallon) book exchange and ice. Wifi was fast and free.
The road noise is noticeable but not too bad. Some of the spots can be close but for a night it wasn't bad. Pets are allowed on leash only but there were a couple of loose dogs running around so be aware.
NOTE: Google tells you to turn on the street (Neil Creek Rd) just after the park so if you have a big rig then turning around could be difficult. Keep an eye out for the campground and turn into it directly from the main road instead.
All the office and maintenance staff were friendly and helpful and neighbors were friendly and quiet. We didn't get the tweaker vibe mentioned in some previous reviews. This place is cute - maybe there are new owners (who changed the name from Glenyan to Ashland Creekside, maybe?) who are trying to turn things around.

GuideSuper friendly rv management and staff- could not have been more welcoming. There are 2 dog runs, laundry, showers and bathrooms on site. Small store in the management office for sundries and rv gear. There are some full timers who live in the park but seem to be isolated in 1 part of the park.
Gravel pad, no cement. 30 & 50 amp hookups along with water, sewer, cable and WiFi. WiFi drops often and can’t be used for streaming. No troubles with ATT cellular service.
Park is next to a mobile home park that may be sketchy, but the RV park is a gated community that needs a passcode from 6 pm to 8am daily. I felt perfectly safe within the park but there is no food or shopping within walking distance. Not far drive though is a grocery mart and plentiful restaurants. Roseburg itself has everything you could need within a 10-15 min drive from the park.
I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.
Note: spot 62 was close to Hwy 99 and you can here the traffic if your windows are open.
LegendThis portion of the camping area is called Oak Slope, the other being on the lake for RVs for residents displaced by fires.
For Oak Slope: Imagine a steep tiered parking lot with narrow spaces. The whole campground is on a hill so the higher sites just look down on the lower sites. Most sites are visible from any other site. The sites were not very level and they were narrow, as was the loop. The campground also backs to private property. All sites are dirt with paved parking, with picnic tables and fire pits. Some pull throughs.
There were bathrooms, one of which someone decided to dump a washer and dryer at. There weren’t too many campers when we went but I can imagine that on a weekend it would be awful. It is close to the lake which has bathrooms and playground.
We did not stay here. We picked a spot but then changed our minds and then left. There is an RV dump here. Cell reception with ATT, Verizon and TMobile.
TravelerGood points: I think this is the cheapest campground with amenities near Ashland, only $27.50/night for a tent site with a water pump. The place didn't feel sketchy at all- although there are clearly some long term residents, it feels well-run and family friendly. Wifi was surprisingly fast and reached all the way over to the tent sites, and there is a place near the bathrooms to wash dishes. All tent sites were shady with large blackberry bushes providing privacy on three sides.
The not-so-good: the tent sites have a road right behind them that's often busy and loud. The showers in the women's restroom have unbelievably poor water pressure, and the water temp fluctuated from boiling to freezing for no reason unless you twitched the dial just right. Also, there's no place to hang a hammock near the tent sites but that's just a quibble.
TravelerGreat location off the 5 and 42 if you're looking to get to the coast. Also right outside the city of Roseburg. They have a 6 hole 3 par golf course. The course and grounds are kept with fountains and beautiful flowers. Lots of sites with full hookups including sewer. Back in and pull through sites available. Miles of walking trails and a river for tubing or fishing off the docks. Showers and bathrooms available. Women's restroom and laundry room are under construction until October 2023. No laundry room and the park is very dark at night when other RV's aren't around, are the only reasons I didn't give 5 stars. Otherwise the owners are a delight and the full time residents are friendly. Make sure you bring cash, they don't take cards. Which wasn't a big deal, they also gave us a discount for the week. This is a nice family run park and it will definitely go on our 'save for next summer' list.
GuideStayed at campsites 10 and 11 which had plenty of space, table and fire pit. Very close to restrooms which are clean. Lake access is a 5-7 min walk away so it’s very close. Campground is shaded so it helps with the sun and water slides (weren’t open) are maybe a 10 min walk away. RV camping is across the lake so no big rigs in this are which was nice.
LegendThis is a large, sprawling, very peaceful and green Jackson County campground with several loops.
Loop D is no hookups (though each site has a non-threaded water spigot). Each site also has a grill, a picnic table, and a firepit. It’s so quiet and empty and peaceful during the week, and then practically fills up on the weekends. ATT had good service but the Verizon phone was roaming/ extended network. Still usable but slow and could not use the hotspot.
This campground has one of our favorite dog parks. It’s nicely mowed, thick grass, beautiful surroundings, and huge. You can also rent a boat or kayak and spend the day on the lake- so fun!
Sites without hookups are $28, and electric/water sites are $33. There is a dump station at the entrance, free for use by campers only.
