River boat access

The campground was full over 4th of July weekend, but very calm. Lots of River rafters camp here. Partial shade in our spot. Clean. On site staff. No cell coverage.

Nice Standard Campground

Indian Mary is a really nice campground, clean, well maintained, friendly staff, and activities to keep the family busy.  

*Payment is cash only*

$35/night for FHU, $30 for PHU, and $25 for a no hookup tent camp site.  Group camp is $75. We did see a yurt, but didn't see a price posted.

Firewood for sale here at $5/bundle, ice is $3/bag, and they have ice cream for sale as well.  They do also provide basketballs, disc golf discs, horseshoes, etc available for checkout for free!

Showers were really nice and new, and clean enough.   I like the set up of each individual shower with a locking door opening to the outside.

Garbage dumpsters available throughout, and there are no recycling bins.

We stayed here in mid May, and there were only a few other campers, and the campground was nice and quiet (other than road noise).  However, if the campground had been full, if we'd had neighbors, I think we'd be uncomfortable with how close the sites are to each other.  There is zero privacy between sites, and closeness to your neighbor almost approaches RV park distances.

The sewer hole is the smallest we've seen, and in the hole there is visible liquid or whatever the last person dumped last.  The park employee said that's how they're set up, and the dumping went fine, though I was nervous of an overflow.  Also the hole is set back pretty far, and we had to back up the RV in order to reach it.

No cell service here, but the cell booster gave us some connection on both the Verizon and ATT phone.

Scenic, Quiet, Tranquil and Convenient to the River

Spent almost a week here in the fall. The campground was quiet and relatively empty making it tranquil and scenic and perfect with its proximity to the boat ramp onto the Rogue. Great base for a Rogue Wild and Scenic trip or even just as a trip into itself.

Road noise is present so it’s not a wilderness experience but that didn’t affect our visit at all.

Beautiful fall colors in October

I chose this park to see the foliage in October and was not disappointed (see my photos).  Other than that, it is not an outstanding park.  I had no Verizon coverage in the park and was woken up by the noise of leaf blower in the morning.  The RV sites are very close to each other, without any trees/hedges to separate them.  I liked that the park is in a somewhat secluded area though.

FYI, the site says there are no 30-amp hookups, but my site (site 90) had both 50-amp and 30-amp.  The 30-amp worked just fine.

Good location

Good location above the rogue river. Good views. Has alot of full and electrical hookups. However pretty busy road very close and has alot of vehicle noise.

Great park!

Wonderful dog friendly park. Campground is very clean and sites are well set up. The only downside is the limited shower hours. My husband and I are early risers and the showers don’t open until 8. Really a minor inconvenience in the grand scheme of things.

Local river fun

A hotspot for locals for birthdays and celebrations, our campsite was large and included a fire pit and picnic bench with nearby bathrooms. The river was nice and cool in the warm weather and there are nearby volleyball nets and playground for kids.

Disc golf!

Sweet place on the Rogue River to camp and play disc golf.

Large grassy area with volleyball court, too. Nice playground for the kids.

You can float from Hog Creek to Indian Mary in about an hour, then drive back and float again.

Indian Mary

We camped here on our way from Portland to Arizona. It is about 4 hours from Portland. Has a playground and water access. The campground itself was just a big field really. We had site 40 so at least it was covered in trees. I'd recommend making sure you were out the outside of the ring, if you get in the middle it's just campsites right next to each other with no trees for privacy. It fit our requirements as a passing by site, it's not somewhere I would plan to visit. Lots of kids on bikes circling the tents and an overall party vibe of the whole site. Just not a very relaxing or private camping experience.
