Grants Pass KOA

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Sitting along Interstate 5 in southern Oregon, Grants Pass KOA draws a mix of road-trippers and longer-stay campers looking for full-service facilities in the Rogue Valley corridor. The campground accepts RVs up to 60 feet with full hookups including electric, water, and sewer, and reviewers note that pull-through sites make arrival straightforward even with larger rigs. Tent sites, cabins, and teepees round out the accommodation options.

The standout feature here is a creek-side swimming hole with a waterfall, mentioned by nearly every reviewer. One camper describes having "hiked down to creek with deep pools and swam," which gives a sense of what to expect: this is an active water feature, not just a scenic backdrop. Reviewers consistently prefer the lower loop sites over the upper loop. The campground also has several off-leash dog areas and stays open year-round, which makes it a workable stop across seasons.

Wi-Fi is available but limited to a few locations on the property, so campers relying on a strong connection should plan accordingly. Facilities are described as well-maintained and professionally run. For campers who want a smaller-scale experience nearby, Jumpoff Joe Creek Campground & RV Park sits just to the south, and Sunny Valley Campground is another option to the north for those passing through on I-5. Campers exploring the broader area can also browse campsites near Merlin for more rural alternatives west of the highway.

Great swimming hole

This was a nice KOA with a really nice swimming hole. Good facilities. Lower loop spots seemed nicer than the upper loop.

quirky awesomeness!

such a gem of a campground! you can camp in your tent, RV, one of their awesome cabins or a teepee! The swimming hole is amazing complete with a waterfall and there are even two cool goats Vinnie and Frankie who live there. The staff are incredibly friendly. Our family has claimed this as our favorite KOA over all we have stayed at across the nation.
