    Cole Mt Ridge

    Cole mtn dispersed

Road is gravel, pretty well maintained. There’s a lot of pull off roads, not sure if you can go down all of them. I saw lots of sites available on a Thursday in August.

Lots of trash at the spot I picked thrown over the side of the mtn. Besides that, it is very secluded and quiet, and 25 minutes from cannon beach.

Could possibly pull trailers or rvs on most of it

    Sea Ranch Resort

    Close campground to Cannon Beach

Great campground about a mile from Cannon Beach. There are cabins, RV sites, and tent spaces. It's a little higher in price then a national forest campground, I paid around $40 a night, but was there for the Cannon Beach Sandcastle Competition, which I highly recommend going to. There were several tent sites with some in the shady tree area and others in the sun. The bathrooms were clean and the showers were hot. At the bath house there was an outdoor sink area, where you could do your dishes. There are even horse stables on the grounds that you can pay to ride on the beach. It is a great campground in the city of Cannon Beach. I would recommend this park to anyone wanting to camp near the beach.

    Cannon Beach RV Resort

Close to the beach and well maintained

We loved this campground so much that we extended our stay and were there for 10 days. Really well maintained and just 10 minutes away from the beach in Cannon Beach, it is a lovely walk from the campground to town and to the beach. The staff is very friendly, the campground clean and sites with full hook ups. There are trees everywhere and it provides shade for portion of the day to the campsites. They have great WiFi. I needed because I am on the road, working remotely. I have a lot of teams and zoom Video calls and the connection was great! There is a great hike at Ecola park which is accessible by the road where the campground is located. The laundry is open and only one person is allowed at a time due to Covid-19 and they have to sanitize it after each person uses the facility. Really great to see them following CDC guidelines and keeping the facility sanitizes. The bathrooms, pool and spa were closed due to Covid-19 and you had to be self contained to be able to be there. We had a great time and we will stay there when we go back to Cannon Beach, which has a special place in our hearts. For those who do not know Cannon Beach, that’s where the haystack from goonies is located. The house from Goonies is in Astoria, which is about 35-40 min from Cannon Beach. Great scenic drive when you go south of cannon beach. Oswald State Park is a great hike and you can finish with a walk on the beach. Manzanita is a beach town cute town close by. Keep driving south and go get some fish and chips at Riverside Fish & Chips in Nehalem, cute little town-the food truck is behind a building, by a lake. Keep going south...and you can go crabbing. It was our first time and it was super fun. Got dogs??? Oregon is very dog friendly, which we love because we have two dogs - which we consider our kids! Lots do do in the area! Worth the stay!

    Cole Mt Ridge

    Good spot

The coordinates did not take us to the exact spot, but the pin on the map was the closest, it’s actually to the left on the dirt road. You’ll see a tiny dirt road going up hill and that’s the spot. Had some trees that had been chopped down and a fire pit area. Definitely could fit a couple cars up in that area. We arrived around 7pm and stayed the night. It’s about 25 minutes from Cannon Beach. The view of the mountains was nice!

    Cook Creek

    Isolated

A few miles a long gravel road leads you to a handful of large sites. These had fire pits and pull throughs. No cell service. Kind of creepy late at night until you begin to see the sites. They were all relatively clean. Only one other camper near. We stayed at site 3 which had a trail leading down to the creek. Attached ropes to help you get up/down. Would stay here again for sure. Arrived at sundown and left at sunrise so didn’t have time to explore. About 45 minutes from Cannon Beach.

    Fort Stevens State Park Campground

Oregon State Park at its finest

Fort Stevens State Park in Warrenton, OR is a clean and well maintained park for all levels of camping from tents to large RV’s. They even have Yurts, many which are pet friendly. There are many miles of hiking/biking trails through forest and beaches. The old fort is fun to visit . For those wanting to explore further, there is Astoria to the north and Seadide and Cannon Beach to the south. I highly recommend a visit.

    Thousand Trails Long Beach

    Nice campground with beach access

The location is perfect, with an easy walk to the beach, making it ideal for those who love the ocean.

The campground offers a variety of amenities, including a pool and hot tub, which are perfect for relaxing after a day of activities. For pet owners, there's a convenient dog park where dogs can run and play.

The RV sites nice, but not very spacious. It is super nice that full hook-ups are standard. Tent sites are also available and offer a comfortable camping experience.
