Keep in mind, this is a KOA Journey. If you are staying here it is for a break on a road trip or to visit the giant casino across the street. That said, the sites are spacious pull through sites. There's a small pond that had Canadian geese swimming in it. The bathroom and shower area was…

Half of the campground is an equestrian camp. There are great hiking trails and beautiful views. Good shady spots.
We had two kids with us and we loved walking around the campground and seeing all the horses! But remember it will also smell like them so camp on that side at your own risk.
We camp here multiple times every summer. It’s very clean with lots of trees. Decent beach access but it’s texoma so don’t expect too much lol Great fishing set back in the cove and next to the dam.

We tent camped here in April. We got here in the dark and it was hard to find a a spot but when we woke up the next morning we had a great view of the lake. The bathroom near the office was newer and had showers that you need quarters to use. Also had an old school playground but the kids had fun.…

Platter Flats is usually quiet. It's been our favorite campsite for years because of this. We've always been able to find and open spot with a nice view.
Beautiful clean park with great facilities and amenities. Large concrete pads and shuttle to the casino. Perfect place to stop for a night or a week.
We come here every February for a guys' trip. We camp and fish. Scotty's is a great place to stop in and get local fishing advice as well as a tasty breakfast/lunch. Campsites are far enough apart to feel secluded.
Beautiful river in the hills of Southern Oklahoma. This is a public fishing and hunting area and not a state park , therefore it is much more primitive. For the most part campers are responsible for cleaning up after themselves, many of whom refuse to do so. There were a lot of toilet paper piles…
This place is so beautiful and FREE! You must have a fishing or hunting license to camp here. Camping stops are spaced out very well. It is primitive camping. There is no electricity and there are some bathrooms but very few which doesn’t bother me bc I don’t use them anyways. It is very relaxing…

Great place to camp. Stayed during Thanksgiving, after Blue River was stocked with Trout, fishing was awesome. Great family camping and fishing. Highly recommended. We be returning.
Nice place to stay in RV when on the road traveling. Near Choctaw Casino, plenty of entertainment for travelers.
I grew up in the area, my family really loves it here. Nice and peaceful. We prefer the primitive area.
Very clean KOA right next to Choctaw casino. They have a shuttle that comes right to your spot to take you to the casino. Cable tv and a great pool as well! Great place!
My husband and I come here to enjoy some good ‘ol fashion camping. He especially likes this place because he is able to go trout fishing in the river next to the campsite. The only thing that this campground does not have is electric hook ups and there are only a few restrooms that are dispersed…
If you want a good spot, reserve early.
