Camping is prohibited above 3,500 feet in elevation from March 22 until December 20 each year to protect the fragile summit environment. Campfires are permitted below 3,500 feet in elevation, but only dead and down fuel may be used. In an established campsite, use the existing fire ring. Before you leave, completely extinguish the fire. Never leave a fire unattended. The use of camp stoves is encouraged.

Two developed areas, Copake Falls and Rudd Pond, offer an extensive trail system with terrain that varies from easy to challenging, offering spectacular views. The extensive campground at Copake Falls has sites to accommodate campers seeking a more rustic experience, as well as those seeking a more "home like" experience. There are 45 tent sites, 25 tent platforms, 36 trailer sites and three cabin areas for a total of 106 campsites and 18 cabins. The trailer sites allow trailers up to 30 feet in length, but do not offer hook up facilities. Centrally located restroom and shower facilities are located in all campsite areas. The cabin areas vary in number of cabins, location and size. The smallest cabins accommodate up to 4 people and the largest 6 people. All cabins have electricity, lights, hot and cold running water, a kitchen with a refrigerator and stove, a dining area, a picnic table, and outdoor camp fire ring with grill. The "Ironworkers" cabins are equipped with private showers and flush toilets; campers in the "Bash Bish" cabins utilize a centrally located shower facility with flush toilets. Osa Trail campsite rests on a secluded hilltop bordering Sundown Wild Forest with SPECTACULAR VIEWS of hills and valleys. Campers can see all the way to The Berkshires on clear days. At night, it's the Milky Way, so bring your telescope. There is a beautiful "secret" mountain stream waterhole within a 7-minute walk from the tent, and countless hiking trails in nearby Minnewaska State Park, only 20 minutes away. Come savor the tranquility.
Right along the driveway leading to the campsite there is a shale outcrop, full of fossils, mostly prehistoric leaves and branches, but also occasional Brachiopods - yours for the taking. Bring your cold chisel and a mallet.
This campsite is equipped with one Queen-sized bed with a memory foam mattress! For the winter our floor is insulated with rubber mats to cut down on drafts.
Good cell reception at the campsite.
No poison ivy anywhere on the property.

We take the necessary precautions against COVID-19. If anyone is sick - don't come! You must take away all your trash including toilet waste. If you don't agree to this - please chose another site. If you agree but don't comply you will be charged a $150 cleanup fee. Please, please DO NOT CUT ANY LIVE TREES OR BRANCHES on the property. If we see evidence of such actions you will be charged a fine of $500. Bring your blankets and pillows, but wake up early to watch the sunrise. Enjoy the stone fire pit, but don't leave the fire unattended. Forage the forest, but don't leave food that may attract wildlife. Explore nearby mountain streams, waterfalls, hills and trails - don't get lost in the woods. By making a reservation at Osa Trail you automatically agree to these site guidelines.

Amazing camping/Glamping!
Treetopia is a unique and truly amazing camping/Glamping experience in the Catskills, New York! We were able to meet Betty, Treetopia’s manager, who toured us around the campground and took us into each type of rental they provide for that special camping trip. They have RV sites, yurts, custom furnished treehouses with electricity, beautiful tiny homes with outdoor living spaces, completely remodeled vintage airstreams, and gorgeous private cabins! Every unit was more beautiful and comfortable than the next. The backdrop for the campground is the wonderful Catskill Mountains and all of the nature that includes. A wonderfully inspiring place! 😊👍🏻
If you have an RV, they have 30/50 amp with electric and water. There is no sewer, but they have a dump-station and on-site Honeywagon truck that you can schedule. They staff was wonderful and went out of their way to make our stay perfect! 💗

To our surprise we found this beautiful yurt in the Catskills with views to envy any nature enthusiast. It was beginning of fall in October and the dark nights were filled with gazing shooting stars. A wood oven stove to keep us cozy our entire stay. Great for those seeking quiet and zen like space. The fire pit was a plus to the view. Our first time in a yurt but not the last. This was a birthday trip so we enjoyed every minute of this space. The host was great! Always full of conversation and tips about the area. We still keep in touch.

Spacious Skies Woodland Hills
A peaceful place with character.
My first visit to New York state was amazing, largely in part due to my campsite at the Woodland Hills campground. I had a back in site and was having problems with my camper, and they were able to change to a pull through at time of check in. However, it was in early May and before the summer crowds. The pond has a fountain which sounds like a small waterfall at night, and wildflowers were in bloom. Very nice bathrooms and showers, and my dog loved the dog park.

The worst campsite with the rudest employees
Seen my Google review has been hidden so the public eye don’t see it now I’ll be going on all platforms showing what a disappointment the campground is As you can see how the owners of this business respond to any low rating review with aggression& sarcasm. Their favorite line is“thank you for taking the time to respond but if you’re going to tell the story tell the story right”. Worst experience ever and the customer service here is trash just like this location. Bathrooms are barely cleaned and let’s be reminded we are still in a pandemic it should be cleaned frequently. You can tell and feel prejudiced vibes. And to clear up the story the owners were harassing us since yesterday8/8/2021. God forbid we were having a good time. Came to our campsite to shut the music off by 8 mind you quiet time is 11 pm see attachment. Tony came over to let us know we were a bit loud and Melanie came abruptly using profanity in front of the children. We all went to sleep and were uncomfortable in how she spoke to us. This morning she came out of no where and asked when we were leaving. We had reservations till Tuesday8/10/2021. She said we were kicked off and needed us to leave within an hour. We’re a large group with small children. The police understood that and didn’t give us a hard time. We weren’t escorted out. They agreed with us and told us to take are time. I really wish I can upload videos*** Dont recommend this location

Located in the Catskills. This is a family friendly there’s bathrooms/showers playground, pool, potable water and a outdoor pavilion. Located near hiking in the Catskills and 15 mins to Woodstock.
The tent site are very richly and uneven, it was very hard to pitch a tent. When it rains theres a horrible smell across the campground.

Very disappointing camping experience
My husband and I usually backpack but were looking for something a little easier for a short weekend camping trip. We arrived around 11:00 am and the parking lot was already packed and cars were lined up along the road. We grabbed one of the three spots that were left and were amazed at how many large groups were set up at the other spots. None of the camping areas were on the water and only a few had a short path down to the water. The beach was pretty full and there were a ton of people walking the path. We ended up leaving early without even staying the night because it was so packed and pretty loud. If you’re looking for a relaxing, quiet camping experience, this isn’t the place for you.

Love this place will definitely be back, not sure why it didn’t show up for free camping when I had it filtered, found it on another app. Was not the easiest for my RV van to get up the hill with the ruts, but I have a small lift so it helps, lower clearance vans might not make it. It’s a single camper site at the top of the hill left before the trailhead parking.

Beautiful weekend campsite
We stayed three nights in late October. Grabbed on of the two vehicle accessible campsites along the road which had some very light traffic. There are several beautiful, secluded hike-in sites along the lake which I would love to return to someday. The hike around the lake is a lovely, easy walk. The hike trail that connects to the far end of the lake is 6+ miles and while there were no real views, it was lovely. We also hiked the balsam lake fire tower which had nice views of the area. Overall a great little spot to camp. Would definitely return.

One of our favorites!!
We arrived here early afternoon, which ended up being perfect timing as we could set up everything and catch sunset by the fire. The place is pretty easy to access with paved road the whole way there except for the last 1/2 mile where it is very bumpy. Some might say 4*4 but we made it just fine in our little Camry. There are two campsites located right outside of the park where you can park your car next to your tent but we opted to hike in. The first spot is less than 1/2 mile down the path, with the next three in the next mile. The campsites are very spacious with lots of room between you and other campers, and have a fire pit and some have picnic tables. We had a stellar time just hiking down the path and relaxing by the water. There’s no noise at night apart from the running water of the stream and we had a very peaceful weekend. We’re most definitely returning!

Great experience
I went last year with my kids they loved the arcade small but it's a camp ground the playground area was nice. We use tents and got a bad storm the owner called and let up bunk in the arcade for the night since she was worried. They have animals the kids can go check out. The pool is nice and they offer fun activists for the kids as well honestly try it out.

Nice place to stay in the Catskill area
Stayed here for a few days while on a week long trip. The bathroom and bathhouse were a bit run down looking from the outside, but inside they were updated and clean. The left over of hurricane Henri passed through during our stay so we were unable to utilize any of the facilities. During the heavy rains water flowed down the roads ways due to the clay based soil and looked like it pooled up in places near the tent areas. We stayed here in a travel trailer.

CAMPGROUND REVIEW We ended up at this campground because the family we were traveling with needed to accommodate their 50 foot camper. As a rule of thumb- I try to visit as little RV parks as I can, but we were trying to find somewhere that would accommodate both of our needs.
While it is true that this campground does specialize in large groups and is one of the only places in the area that will host a rig as big as my uncles, that was about the only thing it had going for it.
Grounds were dilapidated. It was like they had too much to handle. The lawn was overgrown at our site, the bathrooms were always in need of something... it was just a glorified trailer park.
I will say that the spots were spacious, particularly pertaining to tent sites. However- the brook that the campground is named after is mostly stagnant. So prepare for an abundance of mosquitos!
Another perk is the location. It was really nice to be right near The Catskills. However, I will most definitely be taking advantage of the smaller and quieter campgrounds around.
Would recommend for: people with big rigs. Large groups with children. The sports “complex” and pool actually looked very nice and well maintained. There were kids everywhere.
RANGER REVIEW ON... GCI OUTDOOR CHAIRS
So if you’ve been keeping up with my ranger reviews, you know I am always very pleasantly surprised by the things I’ve gotten the opportunity to test out that I never knew I needed. Camping Chairs were actually on my list of things to acquire this year for our trips, so I was psyched (as usual) when I found out GCI Outdoors would be what I got to check out.
I purchased the “Eazy” chair and the Roadtrip Rocker.
So first, the Eazy chair. It’s a good looking chair that comes packed away in a pouch that slings over your shoulder. It’s pretty heavy, but we happened to be car camping this time around so that wasn’t a big deal. The arm rests are sturdy, the chair is comfortable to sit in.
The Roadtrip rocker I was really excited about. And the thing is pretty awesome. The patented hydrolics is pretty nifty and it’s really neat how it works. I was surprised to find that it packed so easily into its sack, and has a sling so that you can carry it where you need to go.

The campgrounds are nice. But that all. They have loads of events over the weekend but the weekend hasn't happened yet to check them out. Originally I thought it was the gloom of the weather that made this place seem pretty plain and run down. But now that its a beautiful day, the grounds are about the same. It just seems like it hasn't been kept up all that well. This place can be grand if they want it to be. Just needs some TLC

This is a Thousand trails campground so it was free. I think the regular price is $64. Full hookups, tents and cabins to rent. Pleanty to do in and around campground. Grounds has a pool, concession stand,game room, playgrounds, sports feild and more. Sites are well groomed. We had one and a babbling brook was 30 feet behind us. Great spot for morning coffee. Clean restrooms,showers and laundry. Dump stations if need and a service to come to your rig to collect waste if you don't want to move it. Local shops just minutes from campgrounds. Walmart and other bigger shops just a short drive away! Scenic Willride on 44-55 to Mohonk House and trails. We be going back.

Nice, quiet place. Our site was up front and we didn’t venture into the park. We did use the laundry room, which needed some updates, especially some lighting. It has a pretty large staircase and at night with a handful of laundry, it was a little scary navigating without lights. Other than that, it was a good stop over for a couple of nights.

Beautiful campground
As part of the Thousand Trails group, this campground has many amenities. It offers a pool, playground, and activities that include bocce ball, shuffleboard, and horseshoes. We loved our full hookup site minus the neighbors’ weekend ragers. (At least they turned off the music at quiet hours).
The creek that runs by the campground is gorgeous, and my kids had fun finding Crayfish.
The nearby towns are adorable and offer shopping, hiking, farms, and more.
