Beautiful Campsite

It was Memorial Day Sunday when we stopped in, staff was friendly. Our location was by the river and did not disappoint. It was a rocky location but we didn’t mind.

Campground with a river

I stayed here for Columbus Day weekend. I believe it was one of the last weekends it was open for the season, so it was pretty quiet. I stayed in the upper section of camp, but there is a middle section and after a lower section where the river is. The sites seemed closer together by the river, but not too bad. It was a nice stay.

Nice and quiet

This campground was a nice and quiet stop on our way home from a trip to Vermont. Our truck broke down and they were able to accommodate us for an extra nights stay while it was being fixed. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because the sites were a bit difficult to back into and unlevel. Otherwise a very nice place to relax

Awesome Location

My partner and I hit this campground up during the era of Covid and it was a cool place to stay. The location was on POINT!! Definitely a beautiful place to stroll along and enjoy the wilderness. The downside though was how loud it got at night with parties and music. I never wanna dampen a good time and we all get our kicks somehow, but it definitely impeded on the peace and quiet. It became frustrating when the noise wasn’t addressed by members of the staff and continued well into the a.m.. Lovely place for sure, but might not take the drive out again due to some of those concerns...just not what we were looking for.

Perfect Quiet Getaway

We spent most of early spring at Oakland Valley right on the river. Even though covid really forced a shutdown on activities, this one was of my kids favorite places of the year. They loved to fish and play in the river, explore the woods and ride bikes around. Quiet, family friendly and close to home! We love OVC.

Family friendly campground

Nice, family friendly campground with 3 levels to camp at. Top level has a pool, showers and bathrooms with laundry area and game room. Middle level has open field with bathrooms with sinks and running water. There is water and electric on the sites at the middle level. River level has more primitive bathrooms and some bathrooms with running water. You can camp right next to the river and it has a great view.
