 Calico Ridge is a remote campsite hideaway, but it is part of Sap Bush Hollow Farm, where we raise grassfed & pastured meats, & operate a farm-to-table cafe & espresso bar on weekends. The campsite is located just off our private 3 mile hiking trail, which meanders along the mountaintops and down through our valley floor, along the banks of a babbling brook. We are only 1 hour from Albany, and 45 minutes from Cooperstown. 
 Come for unparalleled views, wildlife, and to occasionally share some pasture with our grazing sheep. We'll help you find the nearby waterfalls, swimming holes, hiking trails, music, farm-to-table restaurants, artisans, farm stands, as well as the local cidery, brewery, amazing potato vodka & a perfect latte. This is a working wilderness. You might hear a tractor, log truck, timber harvest, or newly repaired engine being tested on the road below, along w/ birdsong, crickets & peepers. Please let us share it with you in all its raw beauty. No pets. This site is equipped with: solar lights; sheets; firewood; fire starters, in the form of matches and newspaper; a cooler; toilet paper; paper towels; and garbage bags. There is a queen-size bunk bed inside the tent with sleeping capacity for four. PLEASE NOTE: due to Covid-19, our cafe is open for take-out only until mid-June. We have an online farm store with frozen prepared cafe meals and other meats and groceries available with a no-contact self-serve pick-up. Local breweries, cidery and the like also have to-go options. We ask that guests wear masks anytime they meet us in person, and we will do the same. Nickerson Park Campground

Secluded meadow, 20 acres of woods, sauna and a small, private pond. Located just a short drive from Cobleskill, this private little retreat it the perfect getaway for campers looking to unplug. With a seasonal stream running through the property and a private, spring-fed pond waiting for you at this site what else would you want? Maybe a sauna? Well for an additional fee we will make that available for you to! 
 For those campers looking to explore the local towns and trails, this site is conveniently close to many activities. Cobleskill offers plenty of eateries and local stores, plus being home to SUNY Cobleskill. Located just around 40 minutes is the beautiful Mine Kill State Park. Let's start planning your trip and making it a memorable one! Feel free to pick any of the wild raspberry and crab apples growing on the property.



SpiceWood

Hessian Hill Camping is where the forest meets the field. Campsite between Albany and Cooperstown! Explore 300 acres of forest and farmland or just relax in a secluded campsite. Located between Albany and Cooperstown, Hessian Hill camping offers the opportunity to experience a working livestock farm, and take a leisurely walk on a country road. If you bring your dog and want to spend the day exploring other local attractions, we have on- site boarding for your canine companion. 

 Breweries, wineries and shopping are just minutes away. The town of Schoharie is only 10 minutes from the site. You will also find plenty of restaurants, hiking trails, and other activities within a 15 minute drive in the town of Middleburgh. Vroman's Nose Hiking Trail in Middleburgh has great scenic views of the valley and Catskills.

 There is a lot to experience here at Hessian Hill, so feel free to ask us about our seasonal farm chores and animal interaction. Also visit our website for other Hessian Hill Farm activities throughout the year. While enjoying our farm, watch for electric fences that keep both you and our animals safe. While around the barns and farm store, please keep your dogs on leash, but they are welcome to run free while in the woods and fields.

Private campsite on a 230 acre farm, 45 minutes from NYS thruway exit 21 Catskill! Our campsite is next to stream, under the trees less than 3 hours from NYC! There is plenty to do nearby or take this time to relax and enjoy our land. We have solar power, a real bathroom and shower on site. Bearkill Brook

Like being cradled in Mother Nature's arms. We are on 90 acres of woodland with ponds, creeks, 8-acre lake, walking labyrinth, organic homestead, and holistic center. 

 The Sacred Hollow is tucked into an open meadow with adjacent beaver ponds. Stargazing at it's finest! Our 8-acre lake is just a one-minute walk from the site with canoeing available. All waters are swimmable. There are old logging trails on our property, a path around the lake, and we are only two miles from a 2500 acre preserve with trails.

 In addition to the traditional Tentrr tent with queen bed and blow-up mattress, we've added an extra yurt-like camping tent with its own bed and mattress. 

 There is an outdoor camping kitchen on site, with a propane camping stove, pots, pans, kettle, and 5 gallons of water. Two 'bear bags' are provided (already hung away from sleeping areas) for food storage.

 On the farm we have at the moment, pigs, chickens, goats, turkeys, ducks, cats,dogs (of course), and some miniature horse rescues.

Locust Park Campground

Our campsite is nestled in the woods by a secluded pond above an organic farm. This is an instant book site! Camp by a secluded pond surrounded by 103 acres of beautiful forest, fields, streams, and farmland. Explore the multiple streams, paths, and beautiful pond perfect for swimming and fishing. Wander down the trails through the woods, follow the old logging trails to amazing lookout spots with fantastic views from the top of the mountain. 

 Stroll by our pastures to see our friendly sheep, goats, donkeys, pigs, and horses. Check out our farm store and stock up on farm fresh goodies such as eggs, bacon, sausage, meats, raw honey, and organic veggies. Or order what you want and have your food waiting for you at your campsite in a cooler! 

 Included in your campsite are sheets, pillows, blankets, dishes, cups, coffee pot, cast iron pan, and the first bundle of wood and kindling. Extra $5 bundles of wood are stacked by your tent for convenience, use as you need and just leave the money in the firewood jar. 

 For an unforgettable camping experience for your whole group, take a farm tour that includes a horse-drawn wagon ride. Meander through the woods to discover beautiful spots through out the property, amazing veiws, stream side trails lead to hidden bridges, back pastures and old orchards.



Simpler Times Farm Camp

I love this little place! No hook ups, but there are water spigots nearby. There is a children's playground and pavilion. Firewood is available to purchase. The bathrooms and showers are clean and well-kept. The staff is friendly and helpful, and check the campground regularly so you can feel safe.

A perfect quiet hideaway!

This campground is a secret gem. They have new bathrooms/showers and family bathrooms. There's a playground, a pavilion, they do fireside jams. I wish they'd bring back open mic! The staff is friendly, the firewood is reasonable and there's a Stewarts about 10 minutes away for other supplies.

Small and chill! I love this place. 

The Max V. Shaul State Park is small and quiet - only 30 sites here, which are large, flat and sited well apart from each other. The park is currently undergoing construction on 2 new bathhouses. No hookups, just a picnic table, firepit.
