Nestled on 100 acres of a 140 year old family homestead, this secluded meadow awaits. After a short drive off the beaten path, through the woods and over a small stream, you will be bathed in fresh mountain air. The sound of the stream beckons a few yards past your campsite. Experience fishing and swimming in the creek, hiking and exploring, or simply sit, read, and enjoy nature. Lean back from roasting s'mores by your campfire to catch a glimpse of the Milky Way Galaxy and starlit sky.
Once you've relaxed, there are a plethora of adventures to partake in. The trail head to the highest peak in the Catskills, Slide Mountain, is 5 miles away.
Belleayre Ski Center's brand new mountain gondola and mountain biking trails. Catskill Fungi mushroom walks! Famous mountain town of Phoenicia. Artisinal restaurants serving locally-sourced food. White water tubing. World's largest kaleidoscope at the Emerson Resort & Spa. Historic Delaware/Ulster railroad scenic train rides, and rail bike riding.
This campsite is equipped with a platform tent with a queen sized bunk bed! Outhouse, picnic table, firepit, potable water, charcoal grill and 10 pieces of firewood. Additional firewood is available on site. You will need bedding or sleeping bags and charcoal for the grill.
