Stayed overnight Saturday and Sunday nights of Labor Day weekend. Campground looked a bit tired from the summer season. Ground littered with small pieces of paper like candy and soy sauce packages. Sites close together. Several feral cats roaming the campground.
The campground was quite dated, nice view of lake, busy road that runs next to campground despite the rural setting. Not much of a place to swim. Staff were friendly & accommodating.
Perfectly nice place, very friendly staff, and really not much to complain about. The wifi signal was very weak in the tent sites, but useable. There is a train that goes by occasionally, but didnt bother me. Nice little fenced dog runs, was a cute touch. But at the end of the day it is basically…
We love this place always kept up and great park management
I have been floating on the James River many times. Always a great experience on the river.
Campsite PROS- Very large grassy sites for tent camping with RV sites also available. On site general store for various floating items, alcohol, food etc
Campsite CONS- VERY STRICT camping rules when…

Clean and well maintained KOA. Friendly personnel. Shaded, pull thru sites as well as back-ins, cabins, and tent sites. Sites are very level with crushed stone pads. Good water pressure. Lots of grass. Patio sites are available. Internet is poor, as typical of most RV parks. Cable tv with about 30…

The camp sites were nice and orderly. The restrooms were clean and stocked. The showers had warm water. My son enjoyed swimming. Our weekend stay was very enjoyable. There is a campground store with all those items you may have forgot to grab. A dollar general store in the nearby town. Everything…
Fishing docks still open, has boat ramp, and beach area, camping no longer permitted
Enjoyed the campsite and people there.
Check in was easy. It is right near a few shopping centers but in the back of a trailer park and very quiet. They had good internet access for free. If you stay here go across the street and get an Andy’s frozen custard.
We arrived having booked a reservation online for a campsite nearly a week prior to the date, but were told “good luck finding your site, someone else is probably already there” by the girl at check-in. This place was a disorganized free-for-all with no one monitoring anything at all. There were…
This RV campground is great for the ones looking for a quiet place to stay for a couple days or longer. It is very easy to get into from I44, the park is very well maintained and level sites, lots of trees. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We stayed 2 nights on the 4th of July weekend and…
Camp ground has nice showers and bathrooms, some spots are close together but our spot was nicely spread out. The water level was high when we were here, not very private/secluded of spots.
rick and church are great to work with. it's a small campground with full hookups. shower house is clean and nice size. with a small game room with pool table.
We camped overnight here on a bit of a whim and we were pleasantly surprised by the amount of space some of the sites have between them. Some spots are right on the lake water and some are off in the woods a little bit more, which does somewhat provide a dispersed camping experience, although you…
