GuideThis was a nice spot to camp overnight before an event in the area. There were mosquitoes a plenty due to the lake. Good spacing between sites and wooded enough to almost forget how close you are to i35. There is some traffic noise though as a city dweller I slept right through it. Pit toilets were clean.
GuideThis campground is on a fairgrounds by a race track. Thursday nights and sometimes Saturday nights if there are races it's noisy and dirty. Sites are nice with gravel pads and grass. Lots of room to walk the dog. Bike trail close and horse shows to watch. Lake with swimming and fishing pier right across the street.

GuideThis campsite really surprised me and exceeded my expectations. I simply was looking for a campground with a shower, and this definitely delivered that and so much more. Every single campsite has potable water and electric hook up, which I don’t need since I don’t have a camper, but it does come in handy. I was able to charge my E bike battery. Something I would not have been able to do Without it. The town is very small and has a few amenities. But this campsite is delightful. Campos is readily available to assist you and also sells firewood at a very fair price. There is a beautiful aluminum dock for campsite/public use. You are allowed to fish here and if you catch fish, there is a fish cleaning station that is Crisp and clean.

GuideWe rode ATV to this site and it empty. Right on the river and we needed bug spray for sure. There is a nice spring fed water hose that was close enough to hear while falling a sleep. It’s a bit out there from the ATV trails so we won’t be stopping again but it worked well for us.
GuideWe rode ATVs to this campground in 2024 and we plan on stopping again for a night in 2025. Spacious sites but we set our tents up in the sunny center area so things dried out quickly in the morning.
ScoutIt's very nice with beautiful views of the water. I will say that ticks have been a issue on my dogs. Other then that love it!
ScoutCould just be the current political budget restraints but I tent camped Gull Lake RA for four nights never saw a Ranger. Here there is a security gate you have to go through before you enter and multiple Rangers. Could be that were so close to town here. highway traffic noise even at furthest site. I will ask about dispersed camping and try to report back. They have shower facilities here just like a gull lake. Yes that means noisy Motorhomes, and travel trailers at all sites.
