Tucked into Land O'Lakes State Forest outside Hill City, this free DNR Forestry-managed site gives campers a no-cost base in north-central Minnesota's lake and forest terrain. Firewood is available on-site, campfires are permitted, and pets are welcome. The site is accessible by both vehicle and foot. Land O'Lakes dispersed camping sits roughly 1.7 miles west for campers who prefer a more open dispersed setup, while Clint Converse Campground offers a developed alternative about six miles southwest.
