TravelerThe campground has a private lake that’s good for swimming and fishing. The sites are decently sized with most being easily gotten into with an RV. Plenty of hiking/biking trails easily accessed from the campground. Only 2 downsides to this campground are the showers (not very clean and very small), and it’s very busy.
TravelerThis campground has SO much to do that you will never hear your kids say those dreaded words.. I am bored! The are round the clock activities, pool with kid area, water slides, obstacle course, GaGa pit, playground, jumped and so much more! There are multiple ways to stay RV,tent or choose from one of the many cabins. Clean bathrooms and restrooms throughout the campground. There is a camp store with homemade ice cream and even a cafe to get your quick meals. Ground are kept meticulously clean.
GuideStayed here the first night of July 4th weekend. Full campground and sites are close together and crowded. With the large camping trailers and 2-3 vehicles per site, it felt claustrophobic. A good number of sites are not level. Bathrooms were well maintained and people were courteous. I would not stay here again because it felt packed with people.

GuideWe tent camped in site #56. I will say the sites are on the smaller side, but you can make do. The lake is soooo beautiful and you can rent kayaks $7/hour or a 2 person small boat for $10/hour. Laundry facility is nice and cheap, with a great sink to wash dishes. Bathrooms are poorly vented and gets so hot & humid, but I will say the showers are in-home quality for a campground! The owners are so nice and friendly. ORV trail butts up to the campground so bring your dirt bikes! We had a small trailer and they had no issue with us at all. Very good swimming beach with tons of places to take in the peaceful views. Playground is large and nice with a new basketball court and Gaga ball. Bring your bug spray and get ready to enjoy serene nature. Oh and I love how affordable it is :)
ScoutOur site was right on the beach of Lake Huron. It is a walk in site, but they have gators to help haul your stuff. The staff is phenomenal. We had bad storms and mother nature was not on our side. The staff came back to check on us immediately after every round of storms. They offered to bring us firewood and ice as well. The beach is NOT good for swimming. It is mucky and covered with dead fish. They also have some great hiking trails. Overall, I’d recommend as long as you only plan on looking at the beach instead of exploring.
TravelerI have been staying here since I was a child. Twenty plus years later; this is still my choice of campgrounds in Michigan. The park is always clean. The Park Rangers are nice and helpful. The lot sizes are quite large. Each one has a firepit and a picnic table. The restrooms are close and always cleaned promptly. The lake and beach are also the best here; sandy and not full of rocks like other campgrounds. It's safe too. I have no problem with the kids going to the playground or riding their bikes and skateboards around the park. It really is a nice place to relax and get away from screens and the city life. 🌈😎
