Nice campground, we’ll be back!

Nice campground with great access to the Saginaw Bay for boaters/kayakers/etc with a small beach. Some campsites are better than others, like most campgrounds but all have some perks. Only a couple miles away from Pinconning for supply runs!

Small and quite campground

This campground was right on the Saginaw Bay. It’s a smaller campground with a lot seasonal campers. It was very quiet the couple of nights we were there. It has a nice beach and playground area that had very few people when we were there. The coolest thing about this campground was the boardwalk it winds back through the woods and marsh and has a lot of raised Outlook platforms to view the scenery. Our site had a paved pad and patio. You definitely want to try and get one of these sites. The other sites were OK, but dirt pad and many of them had marsh behind or surrounding them.

Enjoyable but wet

We camped the weekend. Staff was very friendly upon check in. The beach was nice with picnic tables and lots of playgrounds. I was very excited to do the board walks but when we arrived most were flooded I was very disappointed. Also out sites 1 and 2 were very wet and lots of frogs. We’d want the cement slab if we come back.

Great walking trail

Nice campground, a lot of local / seasonal but the park is maintained very nicely. Good place for quiet camping and a great walking trail back to the bay through the marsh.

Beautiful campground

This campground has lots to do, miles of boardwalk with observation decks overlooking the area. Large playground for the kids, a gazebo, beach, boat launch,, bath house is nice, you definitely want to make reservations as it’s very busy with fisherman. The beach is shallow and great for young kids, we camped over memorial weekend and water was nice even then. They have nice beach chairs to use for free and kayaks you can rent. Great all around place to stay!

Great place on the lake to swim/paddle

Great beach area with rental boats! My family of 5 stayed 2 nights. Flush toilets and shower were well maintained, fire rings provided and nicely kept grounds with observed quiet times made for a fantastic stay!!
