Lexington Park Campground

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Reservations are available at Lexington Park Campground, a county-managed site in Lexington, Michigan, open year-round at rates starting around $30 per night. Sites are set beneath tall pines, giving tent campers overhead shade that neighboring open-field campgrounds in the area don't always provide. Full hookups, including electric, water, and sewer, accommodate RVs, and a dump station sits right at the entrance for easy access on arrival or departure.

Lake Huron is close. Multiple reviewers note that most sites have a direct view of the water, and the beach is within walking distance, though some campers mention the shoreline is rocky rather than sandy. A playground and picnic area round out the park's facilities. Nights are reportedly clear enough for stargazing from the beach, and park staff will deliver firewood directly to your site, a detail that stands out for campers who don't want to haul wood.

The bathrooms earn consistent praise across reviews for cleanliness and being fully stocked. Sites sit fairly close together, which reviewers acknowledge without much complaint, though campers who prioritize privacy between sites may want to factor that in. The town of Lexington is nearby for resupply, with stores and cafes within easy reach. Campers exploring the area can also find camping near Lexington Park or check out Lake Huron Lodge a few miles south. This campground works well for families and RV travelers who want reliable amenities alongside direct Lake Huron access.

Campers regularly cited the shaded sites under tall pines, consistently clean facilities, and friendly staff as standout features. The proximity to Lake Huron with beach access adds appeal, though sites lack privacy spacing.

Quite park and a hidden gem of a campground

I absolutely love the old tall trees throughout the campground. You are within walking distance to the water . Most campsites have a good view of the water . Great playground for the kids . Star gazing was amazing. We saw many shooting stars sitting on the beach at night Bathrooms are always clean. There is a little lending library. Park staff was very friendly and helpful. They will deliver your wood to your campsite.

Lexington Sanilac County Park campground

I had intended to stay at nearby Lakeport State Park, but they were full and this was a happy alternative. The park is quieter, and the campsites are under tall pines instead of out in an open field. Full immaculate restrooms and showers. Beach area adjacent and park with playground and picnic area. Wonderful to be near Lake Huron! Nearby town of Lexington has stores and cafes. We tent camped; there is a section for small RVs also, with electric or electric and water hookups. I would choose this lovely campground over Lakeport!

Friendly campground

People were super friendly and the owners were lovely. They have a little shack and sell firewood. Full hook up options. They have a dump station right at the entrance. The lord are little close together but we didn’t mind too much. The park was nice and the lake was beautiful. The beach a is bit rocky. I would definitely visit again.

Easy-Peasy

Firewood available but that is it. Nice lots! Bath house was always clean and fully stocked. Only park in the area with trees for shade at your site AND access to Lake Huron. Wish there was a little more privacy between the sites but would go back!
