Free tent camping along the Black River, about a mile outside of Croswell, P.L. Graham Park runs on a first-come, first-served basis with reservations also available. The access road has a reputation for being rough, so campers should plan accordingly. There are 10 sites in total: two sit tucked into the woods, while the rest occupy a flatter, open area with trees along one side and the river on the other. Not every site has a picnic table, so bringing a portable table for food prep is worth considering.
A caretaker lives on-site and is consistently mentioned in reviews as attentive and helpful. Firewood is available for purchase, and campers should note that bringing outside wood is not permitted. The facilities are rustic, including outhouse-style restrooms with solar lighting and a porta-potty. A small rain shelter with bunk beds, a pavilion, and a swing set round out the grounds. Cell service runs low, so downloading offline maps before arrival makes sense.
The Black River gives the campground its main draw. Fishing and kayaking both come up repeatedly in reviews, and there is a canoe launch on site. The dock area shows some wear but remains usable. Anglers have reported catches, and the river access is a primary reason campers return. "Cute park but bathrooms need major cleaning/updates," notes Valerie D., a fair heads-up for campers with higher restroom expectations.
Campers planning a longer stay in the region can find campgrounds around Sandusky with a broader range of amenities, or consider Lake Huron Lodge to the east for a different setup closer to the shoreline.

This is a 23 acre Campground, we currently have 12 Campsites which are all **RUSTIC **sites, The Park is a city park so all the rules of a city park apply. This is a former Boy Scout camp and the Scouts still come here to camp on occasion so please keep that in mind when camping here.
No outside firewood may be brought to the campground, There is firewood for sale for a minumal fee or you may pick up sticks to have a campfire from the woods, Please do **not cut trees down, **as there is plenty on the ground.
If you have a campfire Please be safe and have a bucket of water close by.
