Tent Camping

My boyfriend and I only reserved one night and it was wonderful. Our site was in the woods and just what we needed. Walker was very welcoming and super generous! We did a lil walk around the grounds and saw a few people fishing and they had some catches. Walker brought us wood for our fire and it was well worth the fee for the amount he gave us. He truly was great! We definitely enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.

Tent Camping

We showed up fresh off the road from AZ starting a new life here in the great state of Michigan. Two gentlemen met us right at the entrance they seemed to be doing work around the area. The Manager was on the tractor and greeted us right away. I explained we were looking for a place to camp with our dogs. I told him I found him on this app "the dyrt". He explained it would cost $15.00 dollars a night and we paid for two nights. He sold us a great bundle of wood for 10$!!! You can NOT bring your own wood in.

The Manager informed us of updates that should be coming to the campground as well and I'm very excited for this place to get updates. It's perfect as is but a shower would be amazing to have.

10000/5 stars!!

If I could give this camp ground 10000000 stars, I would.

I will provide as much information to give you as much info on what to expect if you plan to visit.

You drive up the entrance of the park, and on your right there'll be a trailer with a sign that says parking. You will park your car there over night/during the day. But you can drive up close to the campsite for you to unload your car.

There are 10 spots. This a first come, first served campground. There is ample space between campgrounds. A fire pit is located at each of the sites. It's not a constructed firepit, rather one in the dirt surrounded by rocks.

There isn't much of a trail to hike, so you'll have to drive out to one. But there are many in the area, less than 40 minutes away.

The keeper is super nice and a wonderful guy.

There is a Porta potty available. Trashcans are located everywhere throughout the park. The keeper, who is located in the trainer by the parking, sells Firewood if you need some.

There are only 2 campsites located nestled in the woods, the others are located in a rather flat, open area with trees around one side, and the lake on the other.

Not every site has a picnic table, so I'd suggest bringing a tiny table for food prep/surface to work on.

Cell service is pretty low so just prepare for that

There is a small shelter in the event of rain with bunk beds. Therr is a pavilion and a small swing set for kids.

Very well taken care of rustic camping park

This use to be a Boy scouts of America camp reserve until Silver Trails scout reservation opened up years ago, Now the city of Croswell owns and Operates it as a city park with one difference, it has its own caretaker for the grounds, it a beautiful camp along the Black River, with a canoe launch. Rustic tent camping only, There is a water Hydrant there for water that I believe is drinkable. They have updated out house type restrooms, that are very will lit and very bright with white paint and solar lights. If you wanna just go tenting for a weekend, this is a great place to go and its only a mile out of town..
