Hiking Gem in Sturbridge

Beautiful campground in a nice central location nearby several nice towns in Central Massachusetts. The hiking is some of the best I have seen from a campground in the area, with a huge system of trails which are all very well marked. These trails vary greatly in terms of difficulty, a few of the…

Cranky old man

Great campground without internet, or a way to pay with your card. The host was so scared of my MEDICAL SERVICE DOG he made us leave. he seems to think he was mauled in another lifetime.

Quaint riverside experience

My husband and I enjoyed our stay so much, we can't wait to return in a couple months. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. They keep the place maintained well and very clean. We are tent campers so the number of RVs was overwhelming, but it was much quieter than expected. People were…

Quiet, friendly staff, 1pm check out

The lady that checked us in was easy to talk to, explained the campgrounds then we were escorted to our site. The site was small but a pull thru, no problems at all, full hook up. There is a nice pool just getting ready to open we are here mid, May 14th we leave. There is horse shoes, shuffle…

Friendly, Spacious lots of waterfront sites, some noise from boat traffice

We love Tolland and have had good luck securing lakefront sites. We have brought out kayaks and took off right from the site. There are rocks to get into the water but the water is clean and not mucky. The bathhouses have always been clean with sinks to wash your dishes. There is plenty of…

Nice campground

We went memorial day weekend few years ago, busy holiday of young teens partying. Park staff tried their best, but other campers definitely took away from our stay. Loud throughout. Our site was fairly far from services, long run with small kids in the middle of the night. Not our favorite place,…

Great time

Stayed on an rv site for 1 week this past summer. Had a great time, kids had a blast with the boat rentals and fishing.
Saw they have 2 yurts for rent as well.

Staff was incredibly freindly and gave us restaurant recommendations around the area.
About 5 min from great hiking at purgatory…

Quiet and Calm

Lake Williams Campground Association is wholly owned by site owners. They only allow seasonal campers. Short term camping opportunities are limited to people who know an owner or seasonal camper. The owners are very nice and many work hard to make improvements to the campground. Amenities include…

Dry camping done right

This campground is quaint and is nestled in RI state forests. The sites do not have hook ups, but water faucets can be found throughout the camp, and there is is dump station. There are pit toilets around the camp, and there is a central modern bathroom. The beach is beautiful and would be busy on…

Along the river, field, wooded, lots of different sites

Sites along the river, pull thrus in the field, shaded along the edge of the field, completely wooded area towards the end of the campground. Playground, volleyball, horseshoes, game room. Kayaks and canoes for rent. Nice trail to let the dogs go off leash and get their energy out. Fire pits have a…

Incredible campground

Most amazing weekend with tons of woods (privacy is huge for us). Very friendly guests and staff! Amazing weekend with lots of fun for the kids and even the dogs! We’ve been to campgrounds with playgrounds worse than the waters edge dog park. Every one of us had a great time with the perfect…

One of my favorites

They allow 2 cars per site. Kept very clean. Swimming area. Great for kayaking and fishing. We camp in our tent. They do allow RVs. Tons of hiking trails. Picnic tables and fire pit at each site. The folks a few miles down the road by the rotary sell giant piles of wood for $10. They do not have an…

Clean place in a heavily wooded area surrounding a pond

Bathrooms and showers were clean, some campsites have a nice view of the pond. Trails that surround the pond make for a nice hike. The sites are pretty close together; we didn’t bother swimming based on other reviews. Distant traffic noises are noticeable at times.

Great access to north Adams and mass moca

I’ve stayed her for Wilco solid sound festival since 2013 and for fresh grass 2019. The bathrooms are clean, the campground has a cool lake front, and you’re about a five minute drive to mass moca or a 20-30 minute walk. Looking forward to fresh grass 2021.
