A Pleasant Stay

We only stayed for two nights but we found the campground quite pleasant. There is a tall canopy of large trees, deciduous and fir, giving a comforting ambience. The staff, Pat in particular, were warm and friendly. We were unable to use the firewood they provided due to rain storms and we were not charged for it...very classy. Aside from the bath house (well maintained) we didn't avail ourselves of other amenities, although they are there. However, there is a nice shop just around the corner, north on Rte 7, with all sorts of food, drink and locally made gifts. Highly recommended.

Wooded Campground

This was a nice campground ran by enthusiastic owners that seem to take price in their place. My family and I stayed here on our way to Maine as sort of a stopping point, and we're so glad we did. It was our favorite campground on our trip. The camp sites were well shaded and spacious. There was plenty of water pressure with grey water hookups, which we had never experienced before, but were pleased with none the less. My family would stay here again.

Thanks so much for your kind words!

In my opinion, people working in a campground have to WANT to work there. I am so fortunate to have an enthusiastic and caring staff. This place would not be the same without them!

Your photos are amazing. You have friends here now, come back soon!

Mt. Greylock Campsite is a gem and Pat is the best!

Pat and Gordon are incredibly welcoming hosts. We got in late after check-in and Pat still made a point to help us get checked in and set up. The amenities were great and the site overall was beautiful. We will be coming back in the future.

We had pretty decent service for being near the mountain (ATT and Tmobile service/hotspots worked pretty well) and town is only about 10 or 15 minutes away.

Beautiful and accommodating

This has been our favorite campground for years now and this was our first time with our new to us travel trailer! Hearing me talk about how Nervi was not only did they offer to help me back it in but they even dropped by with a little present for our maiden voyage!! Something else I didn’t realize was they dump for you on the way out no extra charge and even offer specials if you wanna reserve a spot two weekends in a row where I could have left the rv with them during the week! Meaning I only have to set up once snd just being more good and clothes if I wanted!

Family-Friendly Weekend Getaway!

Just returned from a weekend at Mt Greylock Campsite Park. It's a cute, friendly resort that I thought found a happy medium between a rustic National Park site and an over-developed camping resort.

Highlights for me were the wood deliveries put on your tab, the Fellowship Food Truck (the smoked chipotle meatloaf sandwich was phenomenal), and the friendly atmosphere. Everybody employed seemed to genuinely want to make sure that you were comfortable and had everything you needed. The park entry is gated and monitored (the owners actually live right at the entrance), which is a nice layer of security and peace-of-mind. The kids loved the extremely well-stacked games room and the playground that is suitable up to age 12.

We stayed in a Pine Tent site. There's maybe a dozen or so such sites and while you can see all your neighbors, you're far enough away that you can easily forget they're there. The restrooms were about a five minute walk from these sites and were probably the cleanest I've seen at a campground. We didn't use the showers on our stay (I know, I know...) but they seemed pretty spacious, maybe just in need of a new curtain.

Overall we loved our weekend away, and hope to visit again at some point!

Great campsite

When you first arrive at this beautiful camp check in is super easy and they even show you exactly where you need to be. It's an absolutely stunning site with lots of things to do. Nestled between Mt Greylock and a nice little town so you can still get things if you need. It's the perfect location. I will definitely be going back!

New GO-TO campground!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Very accommodating, our family cabin tent is 21x17 feet so it’s tough to find a “tent” site level enough we don’t roll out the beds haha. Clean, private, spacious, well maintained bathrooms and playground area! This place has turned into my GO-TO camp-ground WITH MY KIDS and we stayed AFTER the pool had closed for the season during full covid protocol last year! Son learned to ride his bike in on the hill next to the showers and all guests were friendly, respectful and welcoming. We’re excited to go again this year and most likely many more to come!

First camp out of the year

Place is beautiful. This was an early in the year trip so I was just about the only person on the grounds. There’s a fabulous playground right across from a nice in ground pool near the main entrance. I stayed on the pond. They have a bunch of 4 wheeled wagons to help you transport your gear to your site. I really just chilled and Enjoyed nature. Cooked up a storm per usual. I stayed on pond site 1. No one was there so I had the whole area to myself. Sites 1-3 are all close together and 4 is the secluded one. They deliver firewood to your site for you. The staff is super nice and friendly. Will definitely be returning !

Nice quiet campground

We were looking for a quiet place for a week away during the summer of Covid, 2020. I am overly cautious and wanted a place that wouldn’t have a ton of people camping in close quarters. We happened to get a week of an almost empty campground. It was perfect. More rustic than an average rv park, some hookups, no sewer hookup but a dump station on the way out. Great WiFi. Very hilly, not great for the littles who like to ride bikes, but a beautiful woodsy setting nonetheless. Looking forward to group camping with friends in the future.

quaint but muddy

The park is a quaint little place that reminds me of an older state park. No full hookups, sites are decently sized for the most part. The roads within the park are very narrow and washed out in places. The 30 amp electric had high voltage and my surge protector wouldn't let it through, I used the 50 amp instead and it was fine. The sites are all dirt and it rained all day and it turned to all mud. Some sites were underwater. The staff was extremely friendly and check-in was quick and easy(lucky, since it was pouring rain). It was very quiet but it was off-season and during the week. My Garmin put me about 1/2 mile away from the entrance. Look for the little blue"Mt. Greylock" signs to guide you down the dirt road to the camp entrance.

Easy tent camping

Stayed here for a night with a group of friends prior to heading up to the AT. It was late fall, so things were quiet and we weren't using all the amenities. But it was exactly what we were looking for. Easy to park and setup the tents, we had an RV spot so there was power, and a nice little fire pit. Bath house was a short walk and had no problems.

Spacious wooded sites and super friendly owners

Our stay at Mt. Greylock Campsite Park was our maiden voyage for travel trailer camping and we couldn't have asked for a better first experience.  The owners were SUPER helpful and friendly.  Though there are many occupied seasonal sites, we did not feel like strangers in a strange land.  The sites were wooded and large.  Really looking forward to going back once COVID travel restrictions are lifted.

Really more of an RV park now.

This was our third year tenting at this campground, each trip was the same weekend in September to attend the FreshGrass music festival in North Adams, MA. While there are a few designated tent sites, it’s clear this is an RV park. The new-ish owner greeted us enthusiastically, as always, but seemed so distracted by everything else going on that it made it difficult to understand what he’s trying to tell you. We found it a little rude to be treated as though, because we were tenters and weren’t hauling in a camper, we were not as important as the crowd of RVs pulling in.

We booked our site in mid-April for a September stay and requested a specific site as requested on the registration form, but upon arrival the owner moved us to a different site with no explanation.

Overall the campground is clean and family-friendly, with activities for the kiddos. The bathroom/shower is adequate, but far away from tent sites and look unfinished and a bit rundown. I assume this will be the next renovation for the new owners.

I think its an ok place, they seem to really care about the campground but oursite was like sitting in an open spot on display. Call them up and ask for their help choosing something that offers privacy. The bath house was clean but they have pay showers....really for the price you pay. To camp.  It is convenient to mt graylock. We had a water hookup and gray water dry well.  I dont think i would stay there again.

The new owners have turned this forgotten campground around. They made a lot of upgrades and you get unbelievable WiFi connection. I stayed there last Fall right before they closed for Winter. All hookups were turned off but water was still available at the office. Just be careful with your GPS do not take Quarry Road!

Family friendly

This campsite is located at the base of Mt Greylock. it’s kind of hidden and could be lrettu easy to miss the first time but once you find it you’d found a hidden gem. The campground has everything you need. Water, electric hook up, it’s got a recreational center (cabin) with entertainments. Cable, fireplace, board games, pool table, air hockey table, you name it. There’s a pool, a kiddy park with swings and slides for the kids. The rec center also has hot showers, flushable toilets. The campsites have wifi access as well. I had a great experience, been there twice already. Hammock, Tent and RV friendly. Lots of campsites and all real close to Mt Greylock summit. The rec center also provides snacks, camping accessories, and coffee in the morning! The hosts are really nice and welcoming. I def recommend this campgrounds.

A different experience for us

We are typically campers who prefer to camp in state or national parks which don't have the amenities of private campgrounds. This trip we decided to stay here because we had some relatives (small children) with us and wanted to extras. For this reason, the campground was a good pick. Pat and Gordon are super friendly and genuinely want you to have a great time. Our site was big and, while not completely level, was workable. There are two bathrooms for the whole camp, but the bathrooms never ran out of toilet paper or soap and stayed pretty clean. The showers are free, but I did encounter a line once or twice. As others mentioned, the pool and playground are nice and the rec hall has several games including air hockey, foosball, pool and board games. All are free and we enjoyed them. There were activities planned for the weekends that we took advantage of too. The band on Saturday night was fun and we brought our chairs and a cooler up there after dinner. The kids enjoyed just running around the open field while we enjoyed the band. The band was loud and we eventually went back to our site, had our fire and enjoyed the music from there, but it was wrapped up by 9:30 and the camp quieted down pretty quickly. We didn't really get to do much in the area but was told there is a pretty good rail trail nearby. Overall, this was a great weekend and we enjoyed it very much. It's a great place to bring kids too and know that there are activities to keep them busy.

Just a few things to be aware of, however. The camp has a lot of hills and some are pretty steep. We always bring our bikes and love to bike through the campgrounds, but this one is not good for biking. Our little ones had trouble going down the hills because of the loose gravel and we almost had a pretty bad wipe out. Bikes were put away after that. Some of the sites are up hills and might be difficult for some to park their trailers. We watched a fifth wheel try to back up a hill and then turn into a site and couldn't get a grip because of the incline and the loose gravel. I think it's just about getting a site that works for your vehicles. Some of the sites look like they were bigger sites that were then split, but now are two or three separate sites sharing a entryway. Great for a big party with multiple campers, but not great if you're that close to strangers. The road is a loop but shares a long stretch of where traffic goes in both directions. It made for a busy road and made me a little nervous with the kids being on the road. Most people stick to the 5 mph limit, but there were a few that seemed to forget that there were pedestrian's sharing the road. The quiet hours start at 11 p.m. so if you are early to bed, you might hear your neighbors. But once 11 hit, it was quiet.

It was a nice weekend and enjoyed the time with our family. Thanks Pat and Gordon for being great hosts.

Base of Mt. Greylock

This campground is a less than five minute drive to the visitors station at the base of Mt. Greylock. The sites were roomy and we had water and electrical hookups. The bathrooms were clean and in good repair. The rec room had some nicely maintained games (pool table, ping pong, air hockey, and more). The caretakers were very friendly and helpful. It was a very quiet campground during the week. However, I have it only 4 stars because when Friday came and the weekend campers arrived, it got loud and rowdy. There was loud music playing and kids who invaded all the sites around them instead of using the big field meant for games such as frisbee and catch.
