Gibson Hill RV Park

Nice location if you like taking day trips. We explored during the day and came back to camp each night.

We used Gibson Hill as one of the stops on a longer New England RV trip. By the time we arrived, we had been driving quite a bit and really didn’t want another complicated travel day. We got the RV parked, took showers, made something easy for dinner, and stayed put for the rest of the night. The following morning we were rested and ready to explore again. For road trips like ours, having somewhere to stop for a couple of nights and reset can make a huge difference.

We wanted to visit Providence without actually staying in the city and decided to camp instead. We drove in for the day, had dinner there, and came back to the RV afterward. It made the trip feel like we got a city getaway and a camping weekend at the same time.

Nothing beats cooking breakfast outside on a cool Connecticut morning. Coffee tasted especially good on this trip.

We picked this campground because we wanted to explore both Connecticut and Rhode Island without changing campsites halfway through the trip. It worked really well for that. We spent most of the day out exploring and came back in the evening to make dinner at the RV. Much more relaxing than bouncing between hotels.

We brought the camper for a quick two-night getaway and spent most of our time doing absolutely nothing. Cooked outside, read a little, and finally slowed down for a weekend.

Nice campground for a quick stop. Our site was easy to get into, everything worked like it should, and we had a peaceful night before getting back on the road.

Came here for a quick weekend away and had a great time. We walked around, checked out the pond, and spent most of the night sitting by the fire. Nice easygoing place.

This was a really enjoyable campground for our family. We spent part of the day at the heated pool, walked around the property, and finished the evening playing games together at our site.

Our kids have really enjoyed spending the season here. They always seem to find something to do, whether it’s swimming, playing outside, or catching up with friends they’ve made around the campground. For us, the best part is having the camper already set up and ready whenever we have a free weekend. We’ve made a lot of good family memories here and still have plenty of summer left to enjoy.

Really glad we decided to spend the season here. We’ve made some great friends, enjoyed a few campground events, and spent a lot more time outside than we normally would at home.

Having our RV here for the season has made it so much easier to enjoy our time off. We can arrive after work, open everything up, and start relaxing instead of spending half the evening setting up. The campground has a really nice community feel, but we still have enough space to enjoy quiet time at our own site. It’s become the place we look forward to returning to every week.

The campground had a fun atmosphere without feeling overwhelming. Everyone we spoke with was friendly, and we left wishing we had booked an extra night.

This is our first season keeping our camper here, and we’ve really enjoyed settling into the campground. Our site has plenty of trees around it, and it feels like we’re actually getting away even though we can easily come and go throughout the summer. We’ve met a lot of friendly people, enjoyed the live entertainment, and spent plenty of evenings just sitting around the fire. It has been a really comfortable place to make our summer home base.

Lots of ticks, so just beware. Great spot overall!
