Indian Lakes Campground is 10 minutes east of downtown Batesville, an hour to the east of Indianapolis and an hour to the west of Cincinnati. With over 1000 sites they offer a KOA section, year round leased sites, Thousand Trails sites and individual sites. We’re a married couple in our forties traveling with two dogs and a cat in our 37 foot motorhome and members of Thousand Trails. We arrived on April 3rd, the day prior to Indiana Covid-19 stay at home restrictions. The property owners were gracious enough to allow us to extend our stay beyond the normal 14 day limit for our personal safety. We were assigned a 50 amp site with water and sewer in loop 4B. This is an open loop with very few trees for shade. Immediately across from our site is a large field about the length of a football field. We can see the lake in the distance past the recreation and pool areas. During our stay we did not access the restroom, laundry, recreation or store areas as we were practicing social distancing. We plan to make many return trips to this campground in the future. Because we were the first to stay in our site since the campground closed for the winter season we had a little site maintenance/pickup to perform but nothing too out of the norm. The noise from the highway can only be heard about once a week. On weekends there’s an increase in golf-cart users and most neighbors are respectful during quiet hours.

This was a great little find right on the banks of the Ohio River. Family owned operation…and just the nicest people you could ever imagine. Most of the little RV parks in this area are seasonal camper focused; and it shows. The owners here are focused on growing their business and have just completed a new building to accommodate a store and reception area, potential for limited dining, and activity center. They have also completed a new deck area that overlooks the campground and Ohio River. The park does have a large number of seasonal tenants however; they have reserved a number of great sites, even some on the river front, for nightly RVers(and have plans to expand that number). They offer both full hook-up and electric, 30-50 amp with water sites on a daily, weekly or monthly rate. The location provides easy access to both the communities of Vevay and Madison Indiana which are rich in history, unique architecture, dining, shopping and wineries. Winton Woods campground has spacious paved RV spaces with full hook-ups, fire ring, and picnic table. They also have cabin and tent camping. The location is located on the lake with access to put in a kayak or canoe. The bathrooms are clean, with private combined shower/dressing stalls. There is a playground for children, and a camp store that sells firewood and supplies. I love the tall pines on the property. They made me feel like I was out west. The campground is also near paved and unpaved trails in the park that surround more of the lake which allows for walking/running/hiking and bicycling, fishing, small craft boating, with small craft boat rentals available at the marina. The park also allows for horseback riding, and a small water park for children in the summer.

Woods and waters campground is a friendly family oriented campground. The facilities are well kept. There is a playground and pool. There is a pond to fish. They offer long term, short term and full time rates. Close to the interstate and shopping. It is close to the interstate and at times when there is high traffic you can here the traffic.

This is the second year we have been there.  Very cute town of Brookville for shopping and or rafting on the nearby river.  Campground very clean w/ lots of bath/shower locations.  Lots of electric site - only negative was there were very few full hook up sites so need to reserve those early.  Brookville lake nearby for boating (rentals), large beach area.  Decent hiking but not the best.

Overall I'd give it an 8 out of 10.

We stayed here while traveling back home from the Smoky Mountains. It is a beautiful site but unfortunately we were not able to enjoy it. Great open sites, lots of walking and hiking available, full hook ups. We will definitely be back to enjoy another time.

Loving our stay here at Winton Woods! Got a site right near the playground. Spacious sites, shade, a lake, bike paths, boat rentals. You have everything a nature lover could want! Would love to see more full hookups up sites. Upgrade the laundry room/showers. There is no bathhouse in the back where the electric only sites are. WiFi has been surprisingly excellent! 10/10 recommend!

This is a great county park! It has a nice “campground” feel set in a large pine trees and wide sites but has 50-amp full hook-up sites. The campground is set in Winton Woods County Park which is about 20 minutes from downtown Cincinnati.

There are 123 campsites including RV sites, tent pads, and camping cabins. Most RV sites are back-in but there are 12 pull-thru sites. There is a myriad of sites here from 50-amp full hook-up with paved pads and patios to 30-amp gravel sites. Sites have fire pits, picnic tables. Campsites in the front section (1F – 25F and 1R – 12R) are big rig-friendly with paved roads wide enough to easily maneuver. All utilities worked accordingly and were well-placed in the site. Our 4G Verizon phone got good reception and we were able to get plenty of antenna television channels. The online reservation system is easy to use and gives you an array of sites/cabins to choose from. Be aware that lots of people use this park on the weekends so it can get quiet busy.

There are lots of amenities at this park. Within walking distance of the campground is Winton Woods Lake which has a harbor with boathouse, snack bar, boat rentals and playgrounds. There are miles of paved and rustic hiking trails. There is a camp store, dump station, laundry, restrooms/shower house, boat/kayak launch, and fishing access. Located in the park is a golf course and horseback riding center.

You are within a few miles of everything … grocery, gas/diesel, restaurants, and plenty of shopping. The park is close to I-275 and I-75 making for easy access to major interstates. One place you should not miss is Jungle Jims international grocery and market. This totally eclectic, sprawling "grocery store" has so much to offer. They pride themselves on providing unique foods from all over the world. I could spend hours in this store perusing the isles of which are sectioned off into country and region. There are entire sections on Indian foods, wines, cheeses that you have never heard of, and tanks with live fish ready for the filleting. Also within close proximity is Greaters -one of the country's best ice cream shops (according to Food and Wine). Just down the street is a new person favorite sandwich shop called Izzy's which is famous for their corned beef and delicious potato pancakes.

Loved this park because you have a very nice campsite with 50-amp full hook-up site with lots to do in the area. Our site was level and the roads were easy to navigate in our motorhome. The paved trail around the lake was great for walking/jogging and perfect for launching our kayaks.

We would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I had a great time visiting Hueston Woods and visiting the Raptor Center. Located north of Cincinnati along Ohio’s border with Indiana.

We stayed here with our pop up camper and felt right at home. The bathrooms and shower houses could use some updates and there were no full hook up sites when we went but our site was nice and quiet.

Our dog, loved the miniature golf and visiting Acton Lake.

Honestly coming in, we were a little suspicious because it doesn’t seem like a RV park and since we didn’t have anything to reference we kept going.

We found an empty site just across from the playground but we camped in the car. There is water hookup, a fire pit, and electrical outlets, and picnic tables at each of the sites. The grounds are well taken care of but there’s a lot, A LOT of permanent RV campers.

The playground is open to campers!

Mounds State Recreation Area located near Brookville Indiana is a beautiful location with camping for tents, trailers and motorhomes. There’s plenty of outdoor recreation available with trails and water access to Brookville Lake. About a dozen of the campsites have full hookups with 50amp power, water and sewer. These sites are big rig friendly. When booking online be cautious of site grade as many of the sites in the original loops have a moderate grade and are uneasy for motorhomes to level. The camp store has both ice and firewood available as well as souvenirs and snacks. Be cautious when making reservations as there is also a similar park with the same name located in northern Indiana.

We stayed one night on our way to pigeon forge, tn. It was neat and orderly but right on I-75 and next to RR tracks . We pulled in right at dusk and left after we got up , so we didn’t have time to explore. What we saw was nice and most of not all sites were full hook up. There were no fire rings or picnic tables at sites. We were told under new management and would be arriving soon. Staff were all friendly and polite. We also stayed here on way home and had time to fish the large pond… requested fire ring and enjoyed nice fire. Would recommend this place to anyone needing clean and friendly campground right off I-75

Great little park located just far enough away to get away but close enough to town to run and get something if you forgot it.

Campground is pretty compact but stays pretty quiet. Two well maintained restrooms and shower facilities. Property has a lodge, cabins, pull through, full hook up, and water/power hook up, primitive spots, and day use shelters.

There is a pool and a restaurant are located at the lodge. There are a few hiking trails and a playground for the little ones. There is mini golf canoe and paddle boat rentals available as well.

Free wifi (speed is questionable) but we found 2-3 bars on T-mobile and AT&T.

We frequent this park since it is close to home and the smaller size makes it easier to turn the kids loose. They have enough to enjoy but not so much where we have to be active every second.

This is clean and well maintained campground. The sites are large, and RV parking is easy. It's a long way to town, so be prepared. There were 2 camp hosts and they were responsive to campers.

We were returning from South Alabama this spring and wanted to travel a bit longer. Columbus Woods-N-Waters showed up on our apps so we gave them a call - yes, they had room for a 55' rig.  We turned off CR 58 on S 300 W with our Class A and found a narrow road that was wide enough for our Class A and another small car.  The berm is non-existant to the west.  We drove slow and met one vehicle and we squeezed by.

Once in the park, we stopped at the camp store and registered. People seem friendly enough and said Hi. I walked back to the site  Just to make sure we would not be boxed in and the site was  approachable with our rig - it was and it was just long enough for us - yea.  We had plenty of tankage for our overnight, so, we did not hook up the water and the electric was 50A.  Our site had no sewer hook up but on the way out there is a good dump station. Limited transient sites have sewer.

It appears as if most of the sites were filled with seasonal and permanent residents.  I did not ask but I think they keep some sites just for transients. We would stay again, Spring or Fall, as it was quiet and ask for site 13 since it had easy turns and was just long enough.  In the summer I would give it a pass since my rig only goes forward - no backing up.  It is a year around facility so winter would be ok too.  The address is 8855 South 300 West Columbus, Indiana.  Good Sam discount is 10%

Stopped here for one night on our way to Michigan. Drove around looking at all the sites, wrote down numbers of sites we’d like to stay at (near bathrooms (we have a teardrop). Decided to come back for 12 days after our trip. Many sites to choose from. Full hook ups are limited, but we were happy with a power site. Plenty of bathrooms and shower facilities. They are not bad, I would consider them to be clean (I’ve seen a lot worse).

Our first site was about 30 yards wide. Our current site is about 20 yards, with an open grass area next to us another 20 yards.

There is a beach here, with a concession stand. It was closed when we arrived. (They close after Labor Day and open back up in May.

Many hiking trails, some allow biking. The trail map does not designate whether you can ride or not. But there are signs on the posts at the trailhead. I descended over 1,000 feet in the first 4 miles. There was a lot of climbing, technical single track, switchbacks, rocky creek crossings and some roots. The trees keep it cool even in 80 degree weather.

Plan to come back and meet family here next year.
