Ammenitites aplenty

I reserved site B38 for me and my small dog, Bob. It’s a tent only site in the main camping area, only $16 per night after fees. Each site has a fire pit and I think all include a grill surface on the pit. Lots of good trees around for hammocking, especially at B38. Short walk to the shower and…

Great family owned campground

Clean bathrooms and showers, well maintained sites with water and electric. A bit cramped for tent camping as sites are small and no space between neighbors.

However 2 pools, activities, green river at back of campground for fishing, tubing, and trail hiking.

Pretty spot, but one big issue

Miller River is a good urban campground, as it is tucked away from the city but still within 5 minutes of downtown. Its location on the river is very nice, and the tent sites are set apart from the RV area, which I appreciated. Upon check-in, the workers were friendly and helpful. The bathrooms are…

Great spring camping

We camped the last weekend in April and we loved it. The pad was uneven but we got our pup leveled out. We couldn't hike as much due to some hunting still going on but we made due. We will be back to this camp ground.

Great family spot with pool and splash pad

We visited on July 4th weekend.  This campground is very clean and both shower house and  vault toilets are as well.  Sites are well spaced and each have fire pit/grill and picnic table.  Some are electric and map  shows them as numbered  E sites.

This campground has a nice playground, hiking…

Pretty, wooded spot

Wooded campground in a beautiful state park. Sites were private and well spaced. Lots of fireflies but no mosquitoes. Pit toilets. We got there too late to use the pool unfortunately. Nice playground in the campground.

Quiet, clean, comfortable

Car camping in my Prius and wanted to stay in a non electric (ie tent) space for $12 but all the tent spaces didn’t seem to have anywhere flat to park. From what I could see, most of the nonelectric/tent were down at the bottom of slopes. Ended up paying the $18 and staying in a nice electric spot…

Great Trails, Unique Campground

We knew very little about this park going in, but are so glad we’ve discovered it now! All of the hiking trails , but particularly the Flint Rock & Weeping Rock trails, rank up there with the best hikes we’ve ever done. This is the only state park with an actual swimming pool (additional use…

Always a must-do camping trip every summer.

Nice, quiet out of the way campground

Eden Valley Refuge is a nice out of the way campground on the banks of Bear Creek. We stayed in the RV/Camper side of the campground which is on the other side of the road from the refuge and trails. We stayed in spot #10 with was nice and roomy. All 28 sites have electric and water. Some are a…

Great view of the river

The park is a little hard to find as the signs are not obvious and the road circles the greyhound track and a casino hotel.  Many of the sites have a riverview and a second line of sites back up to the woods.  There was evidence of wet conditions and the park had recently added some gravel to the…

Quaint and Quiet

I’ve always loved this small quiet campground, even as a teenager. Though I notice that it has gained a lot of popularity in recent years! Campsites are well spread out to give you some privacy, but it still has that “campground feel” so expect neighbors. Though there is a dump station, I would not…

  • We were able to find a large, spacious sight.
  • Another picture of the space. we definitely had to be picky about spots in order to find something we’d be able to squeeze into
