GuideWe have camped every Ga State Park but four. Hard to beat Cloudland. Large, tons of activities, well-maintained without losing its outdoors credentials. Most trails are moderate to strenuous because of elevation gain and roots/rocks. The Cave tour is a must, but prepare to get dirty. The West Rim campground is VASTLY superior with tons of privacy, tree cover, great terraces at most sites, with the ones outside ones being the best. Despite being there for the 4th of july, it was quiet. The downside is that getting to the main parts of the park are a drive away or a 2 mile hike with elevation. The East Rim campground is the thing of nightmares - sites on top of each other, no vegetation, no trees, right next to road, zero privacy, but next to outlooks. A couple of the sites towards the back looked ok. Anyway, if you’re an avid outdoors person, this and Black Rock are the best GA parks.
ScoutThis is a great place to camp, we enjoy staying here they also have some tent sites, wifi is a bit spotty which is to be expected since everyone is trying to use it so either use your hotspot or a mobile internet provider and you will be fine, dog park was well kept, playground has plenty of options for the little ones, the splash pad was a hit for our little ones as they enjoyed it, check in was a breeze as the office folks are very informative as to the surrounding place’s you can visit all really at a relatively short drive…your close to your neighbor but not to close “if that makes since”….will definitely stay here again
TravelerMy grandson and I spent 23-25 June camping at Father Adamz campground. All of the sites in the campground are level and have adequate shade. The water available in the parking lot is either from a water fountain or the bathroom sink. I am glad we brought along our water filtration system as it was only a short hike down to the river to fill up.
The hike in is pretty steep in parts and very rocky. Definitely a good workout! The hiking trails are well maintained and the scenery is great.

Two well-kept portable toilets are tucked behind the barn, and a basic but functional hot-water shower is behind the lodge. The owners are quick to respond via email, ensuring a stress-free stay. Just don’t be surprised if the local rooster plays alarm clock at dawn—consider it nature’s way of saying,“Rise and shine, or I’ll keep crowing!”

Fall Creek Falls is an hour’s drive. Ideal for a rejuvenating escape. Highly recommended.

GuideThe good: fantastic views of a canyon, and the electric/ RV sites are very nice. They also have EV charging at 35 cents Kwh. A couple of good places to eat nearby.
The not so good: The tent only sites get very muddy when it rains so it's best to watch the weather. The next time I stay here I will book an electric6y/RV site.
GuideGreat campground in the woods lots of shade right on the lake. Our littles loved the beach and all the little rascally squirrels were fun to watch. There was no phone service and no WiFi so unless you bring your own this is a great place to figure out why a weather radio would come in handy! Very peaceful and serene.

GuideFantastic, recently renovated area for camping. Right next to a spring-fed creek, with a camp host and ranger keeping people in check and safe. Toilets only and no hookups. No generators at night (yeay!) Great to test dry camping for newbies.
GuideVery safe campground. I grew up camping here with my dad. When I had my oldest son, I would take him camping here, just me and him. I've camped at this campground several times as a single mom and never had problems. The campground entrance is 10 miles on the right off the Redbud Rd exit. Only con is not a lot of shade in the campsites.
