RV parks near Lamont provide a range of accommodations for motorhome travelers. Encore Winter Quarters Pasco RV Resort in Lutz features full hookup sites with 50-amp electric service, water, and sewer connections. Lazydays RV Resort in Seffner offers concrete pads suitable for big rigs, with market access and picnic tables at each site. Caladesi RV Park in Palm Harbor maintains well-spaced sites with full hookups, though some areas may not accommodate larger motorhomes. Encore Barrington Hills in Hudson provides sewer and water connections with 50-amp service on grassy sites. "The sites are a bit small, especially for a larger RV like ours. It felt a little tight maneuvering into the spot, but we managed fine," noted one visitor about their 40-foot Class A experience.

Most RV parks in the region operate year-round, though winter months bring higher occupancy rates with seasonal residents. Dump stations are available at most facilities, with Encore properties typically offering on-site sanitary disposal. Cell service varies significantly between locations, with parks closer to Tampa generally providing better connectivity. According to one reviewer, "AT&T coverage was pretty good, with 3-4 bars of 5G service and speeds up to 11 MB/s." Pet policies differ between parks, with weight restrictions at some facilities—Quail Run RV Park limits pets to 35 pounds unless special permission is granted. Several parks provide propane services, either through on-site filling stations or tank exchange programs, eliminating the need to disconnect and drive elsewhere for refills.

Little Manatee River State Park Campground

Quiet. Definitely skewed toward equestrian. Sites are well spaced. Outer loop is best. Restroom/showers are very well kept. Not much for kids. Short trails are ok. Cayaking is best option if you're in to that. Relax here, enjoy the peace and have your favorite beverage

The parking pads are beautiful. The construction crew did an excellent job and the yellow stripes on the roads are amazing. We are so thankful for this improvement in our park that we can be proud and happy at once and for all. I thank God for answered prayer personally. Now I can breathe now.I can live amen

      Lithia Springs

Beautiful, Peaceful Campground, but the Hospitality Could Use Some Work

The campsites are nice! They’re close together, but there are plenty of trees providing shade and privacy. The grounds are well maintained, probably thanks in part to the very strict rules (nothing tied to trees, no disturbing or touching nature, etc.).

Unfortunately, the spring was closed due to flooding during our visit, but the kids enjoyed the swings at the playground (the slides were too hot!). We rode our bikes, relaxed, and enjoyed the peace and quiet.

My only real complaint was the staff and their approach to enforcing the rules. From the moment we checked in, the emphasis seemed to be more on what we couldn’t do than on welcoming us. We completely understand the importance of protecting the natural environment, but the delivery came across as unnecessarily harsh, almost rude.

To top it off, we received a written warning for checking out 45 minutes late, despite having already vacated our campsite. We were simply waiting to use the dump station. It seemed a bit excessive considering we weren’t occupying our site or holding up the next campers.

Overall, it’s a beautiful, peaceful campground with plenty of shade, and we really enjoyed our stay. A little more hospitality and flexibility from the staff would have made the experience even better.

      Fort De Soto Campground

      Fort Desoto Campground

Close to beaches, beach parking is paid via campground fees. Quiet this time of year, fairly good size sites.

      Peace River Oaks

      Decent and quiet

Everything went pretty well except for one hiccup. Our first night staying there our bathroom drain got backed up with sewage that came back up from the drain which caused a terrible smell of The shower then also clogged and had to shower in puddle of water that got gross from our feet being all dirty because of the mud. I had mistakingly booked the stay without adding the hot tub.. so when we mentioned the issue to Dan(main guy in charge) we asked about the hot tub for the second day since it says it needs to be booked for a 2 night minimum. He said it would be taken care of.. so in our minds of a server and bartender and having worked in the service industry for a long time, we figured that the hot tub would be taken care of for us, considering that it's simply a$30 charge. So l then later get a text message from him asking if the card that I had on file was Ok to charge for the hot tub, and I asked if there would be any sort of compensation for the bathroom situation, he said being charged for one night instead of 2 was the compensation.. which made no sense to me since we only were getting it for one night. To top it off the hot tub was not even hot.. Was def not very impressed by that.

    Guide to Lamont

RV parks near Lamont, Florida offer various accommodations for motorhome travelers within a short drive of the Gulf Coast. The region experiences mild winters with average temperatures around 65°F, making it a popular destination for snowbirds from November through March. Most facilities in this area are situated on flat terrain with sandy soil, providing stable ground for larger rigs.

    What to Do

Fishing opportunities: Terra Ceia RV Resort in Palmetto provides access to local fishing spots with proximity to Tampa Bay. "This place is 20 minutes away from several beaches and the TB Rays stadium, the Trop. The facilities were clean and we have a view of the pond with ducks," notes a visitor at Encore Terra Ceia.

Biking trails: The Pinellas Trail system connects several communities near the RV parks. "The Pinellas bike trail is also located right behind the park and easy to get on. I will definitely come back to this campground. It is Quiet with lots to do and has a friendly staff!" explains a camper at Caladesi RV Park.

Swimming options: Many parks maintain year-round heated pools. "The pool is clean and clear and that works for me. Also, the manager is always around greeting people and doing things around the park so the grounds are nice and tidy and the full time residents are friendly also," shares a visitor about Caladesi RV Park.

    What Campers Like

Convenient locations: Most RV parks in the region offer quick access to major attractions. "Location is nice because you are right off I-75 and can be anywhere in the Greater Tampa Bay area with easy access," notes one camper at Encore Winter Quarters Manatee.

Dog amenities: Many Lamont area RV parks accommodate pets with dedicated facilities. "They also have a nice size, fenced-in dog park with a dog walking path, so bring your furry friends!" mentions a camper at Terra Ceia RV Resort.

Restaurant access: On-site dining options eliminate the need to unhitch at some locations. "There's a nice restaurant in site and when you checking they'll give you breakfast vouchers for the cafeteria at the dealership," states a visitor at Lazydays RV Resort.

    What You Should Know

Site spacing varies significantly: Many parks have tightly configured spaces, especially for larger rigs. "The sites are extremely close. I had a very difficult time parking my 37' foot travel trailer. If someone is parked across from you, you basically are stuck," explains a camper at Winter Quarters Pasco RV Resort.

Traffic considerations: Several rv parks Lamont, Florida adjacent areas experience heavy traffic patterns. "Crossing the highway to get in the park was a nightmare as well. (Not the resorts fault, but be aware of it)," notes a Winter Quarters Pasco visitor.

Insect management: Proximity to water features can mean pest issues at certain times. "This is a mosquito heaven!!! Being bug spray or candles! You will see a large amount of bugs in your area.... They used to spray. But now they don't... with a pond down the street there is No end in site for air borne bug issues," warns a camper at Encore Vacation Village.

    Tips for Camping with Families

Entertainment options: Look for parks with structured activities for different age groups. "Wonderfully situated around a lake. Good amenities and close to everything. Some highway traffic noise but nothing bad," shares a visitor at Encore Winter Quarters Manatee.

Beach proximity: Many families prioritize parks with quick beach access. "The beach is a 5 minute drive and pet friendly! The Pinellas bike trail is also located right behind the park and easy to get on," notes a Caladesi RV Park camper.

Age demographics: Be aware that many parks cater primarily to older residents. "I wish I had known that this was mainly a retirement community. Always being stared at by the live in community and just felt unwelcome," mentions a visitor at Encore Holiday Travel Park.

    Tips from RVers

Site selection strategy: Request specific site numbers when available. "We reserved one of the larger sites, which was big enough for our 39 5th wheel, but we had to disconnect as our F450 was in the road," notes a Lazydays RV Resort visitor.

Utility placement considerations: Hookup locations vary between parks, sometimes requiring extra equipment. "Water and electric were located in the middle of the pad. The sewer was at the end of the pad, and we needed right at 20 feet of hose," explains an RVer at Lazydays.

Water pressure management: Come prepared with pressure regulators. "Water pressure was above 60 psi, so we needed a reducer," advises a camper about their stay at Lazydays RV Resort.
