Encore Winter Quarters Manatee

First impression, the front desk worker was very informative and quite kind. However, there is no security gate. As a momma with young kiddos, that does make me nervous. The lake is beautiful and our neighbors have been lovely. Also, I am really grateful for the location. Not too terrible a distance from Anna Marie Island, or Tampa! There is so much to do locally.

This is my first time camping in my RV anywhere. I should have suspected that an RV resort in FL in the winter would be full of retirees, but I didn't expect the number of mobile homes permanently here. At my site, when looking outside, I had a great view of the lake, am surrounded by mobile homes, and can see only one RV. Great laundry facilities and front office staff are wonderful. Flexible pricing with many discounts. Club house and swimming pool is like being in a retirement resort. There are some nice sites, and all are full hookups, but in my case, I have a small lot with a mobile home, literally about 8 feet along side of me. They have a dog park, and it is shady, which is needed in the FL heat, but not very kept up and clean. Location is nice because you are right off I-75 and can be anywhere in the Greater Tampa Bay area with easy access. However, the noise of the interstate is non-stop, and traffic in this area is really congested.

Winter Quarters Manatee is a beautiful resort with a lot of activities and amenities (which include 2 heated pools and a spa). The staff have been great and the clubhouse is beautiful. Very close to beaches, Anna Marie Island, Sarasota, and Tampa. The only downside is that you are close to I75, and there is construction currently underway.

I stayed here for 2 nights in mid April (spot 1263) and it was my first time staying here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The grounds were ok overall and internet worked fine. The electrical (30 amp and 50 amp) was farther back than the water, which wasn't a huge deal but might be inconvenient for some. Overall, I'd stay here again.

We stayed here twice on the way down to the keys and on the way back. Very convenient location and close to Walmart and Costco. We will definitely be back!

Pricey for such an older park, small sites, narrow in park road, small pool and right NEXT to I75.....noisy all the time. Alot of tiny homes with elderly full-timers. Walmart and food a stone throw away. Beaches about 15 minutes away. Don't drink the water here.

Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful surroundings and quiet! The office staff (Lynn) is amazing and made us feel very welcome and right at home!

Wonderfully situated around a lake. Good amenities and close to everything. Some highway traffic noise but nothing bad.

Really enjoyed it. Noseeums near the lake, so park further away.

Arrived to find it very tight to get into our site, thankfully the nearby neighbors moved there vehicles so my husband could manouver the 5th wheel in.  An agent booked this site for us I think they need to know the property Sites more before they book someone. Site has dirt & mud & is uneven. No free WIFI you have to buy it with a credit card no cable either. Will not be back here, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Spent three weeks here in February and March. The sites are close and there are permanent cabins in between sites. A big lake and a pool
