Buttonwood Inlet RV Resort

Palm trees divide the sites at Buttonwood Inlet RV Resort in Cortez, Florida, giving neighbors a measure of separation even though the lots run fairly close together. Sites are paved and level. The resort draws a strong snowbird crowd through winter months, but short-term spots are available for travelers passing through, and the park accepts rigs up to 60 feet with full hookups including electric, water, and sewer.

Location is one of the most consistent points in camper reviews. A fish taco restaurant sits roughly 0.2 miles away, the beach is under a mile on foot, and a live music venue operates next door. Grocery stores, a pharmacy, and big-box retail are all within a ten-minute drive. Reviewers note that WiFi runs fast and AT&T signal holds well on-site. Sites near the road pick up more traffic noise, while interior spots tend to run quieter. One site near the trash collection area drew specific complaints, so it is worth requesting a spot away from that section when booking.

George L. describes the bathhouses as "adequate and clean," which matches what several other visitors report. The grounds are well-maintained, though mowing and garbage pickup days bring some noise. Dogs are welcome, and reviewers mention enough green space for walking them. Campers planning a longer stay in the Cortez area can also look at Holiday Cove RV Resort or Heart of Cortez as nearby alternatives.

None Responsive Campground

I have been trying for weeks to get someone to answer the phone. Numerous requests for a call back have got me nowhere!!!

Quiet evening

We stayed in Buttonwood inlet for one night. It was super easy to pull and out and it was clean and quiet to camp from a 30’ class C. Plus there was plenty of green areas for the pups to so the whole family gives this a 5 star review.

Great Location Small Sites

Sites are paved and level but small. Bathhouses are adequate and clean. We had a power issue with 30 amp but 50 amp was ok. Location is great, close to Anna Maria Island and Cortez restaurants

Awesome Location

You can't beat the location, walkable to restaurants, a short drive or bike ride to beaches. The park itself is well maintained and quiet minus the days they mow and pick-up the garbage. You will enjoy your stay more if you stay away from the spots near the trash cans (specifically spot 65, avoid this like the plague!). We absolutely loved visiting Bunny & Pirates for live music which is right next door. Would definitely recommend and return.

Pricey, but lovely and worth it!

We loved our stay at Buttonwood. It is a popular snowbird community, but they also have spots for people that are short term. It is in a very desirable location- 0.8 miles to the beach and 0.2 miles from an awesome fish taco place- Tide Tables. If you need to go to the grocery or any shopping- Home Depot, Walmart, TJMaxx, Hobby Lobby, Starbucks, Dollar Tree, Walgreens, etc is within 10 minutes.

Wifi worked awesome and very fast. AT&T service worked great as well.

There are palm trees that divide sites, so although fairly close to your neighbors, you feel more private. Level site- not sandy or dusty. The row right by the road probably hear's more road noise, but at site 26 it was subtle. I can't find anything bad to say about this place and we would recommend to anyone. The price is worth it!

The only thing we struggled with were a few tiny black ants that came in after sitting there for 2 weeks, but we quickly resolved.

Great home base

We stayed here as a base. Just a mile walk to the beach. Mostly older folks. We had a 5 site group and had no problems. The pool is small. We would come back.
