Topsail Hill Preserve State Park Campground

    Beautiful sites

I have been volunteering here and the sites are beautiful. There is a tram that takes you to the beach and there are over 16 miles of hiking and biking trails. Restrooms are clean and climate controlled. All sites are full hookup with cable. The camp store rents bikes, kayaks, etc. and has a wonderful coffee shop. There is live music every Monday outside of the coffee shop.

    Camp On The Gulf

Spring Break at Camping on The Gulf

We had an awesome time at Camping on the Gulf (Camp Gulf). My husband and I took our 4 kids and they loved it there. They can’t stop talking about it and are ready to go back. The campground is right on the Gulf of Mexico with some sites right on the sand. We were in a pull through and it was a bit tight and small, but really that was my only complaint with the campground. The sites in the back of the park were roomier and had some shade, which I think made up for them not being as close to the ocean. The bath houses were awesome! They had individual bathrooms with a toilet, sink and fully tiled shower with glass enclosure. These were by far the best bathhouses I have ever seen. There is a large laundry in the middle of the campground and it was very clean with a huge table for folding clothes on and large rolling carts to put your laundry in when you take them out of the washer or dryer. There were also 2 pools, one of which was heated. This was great because it was still pretty cold at the beginning of April. There is a large water slide beside the main pool. They also had lots of activities for the kids. My kids made lots of friends and really hated to have to leave. In addition to campsites they also have glamping tents which looked really neat and cabins/tiny houses for rent. Additionally they offered golf cart rentals and had a food truck located inside that park. We ordered nachos from it one night and they were great.

Topsail Hill Preserve State Park Campground

    Best Beaches in Florida

These are the nicest beaches on the Emerald Coast! The campsites are nicest on the very back loop but you need to reserve at 11 months out! Summer months are very hot and humid- we enjoy October and Early spring the most. The trolley will take you to the beach, runs every 30 minutes or you can bike or walk. The bath houses are very clean and air conditioned if you visit in hot months. The walking trails are great or if you prefer biking you can ride for miles and miles along the coast. There are some in campground but I suggest leaving campground for long rides. You have access to close by grocery stores- Walmart- Publix. We go every year and love this park. It’s got everything if you love the beach!

    Camp On The Gulf

    On the beach

We’ve been here the past two winters. Great proximity to the beach. Depending on your site several are just steps from the beach (actually on the beach if you don’t need sewer). If you aren’t familiar with the beaches in this area, they are GORGEOUS! Crystal blue water and sugar white sand. This is in Miramar Beach close to Destin. Not a bad drive to 30-A (30 min without traffic).

As far as the campground…this place is tired. Sites are decent. Don’t shy away from buddy sites…they are some of the best/most spacious. Bathhouse/rest rooms are pretty clean. The location alone is what makes us come back. They have a 3 month special in the winter (Nov 30-Mar 1) if you stay during those dates it’s around $1000/month.

Topsail Hill Preserve State Park Campground

    Favorite Coastal Campground

Topsail Hill Preserve State Park is one of our top 5 parks we like to frequent. We were able to watch for reservations online and scored a site for ten days in late November. The sites are paved and level with full hookups (50amp electrical service, water and sewer). A paradise for those with large rigs. There’s foliage between each site providing adequate privacy from your neighbors. This is a great campground for walking/biking as many neighbors have their favorite decorations out. All sites are marked clearly with excellent lit signage throughout the park to provide directions. There are spherical lamp posts scattered every few sites to provide ambient lighting. The staff is informative and humorous at times. There were weekly nature series led by park rangers. Restrooms and laundry facilities were immaculate. There’s even a butterfly garden with a bench nearby the laundry house. Minimal highway noise can be heard from the sites. The most prominent sounds are those from the Air Force base nearby. Be sure to bring a bike to explore the park and access the freshwater coastal lakes. It is a long walk to the beach. We opted for the complimentary tram. During your visit be sure to stop by the Donut Shop about 5 minutes from the park, an excellent location for breakfast. Be sure to be there at opening as it can become quite crowded.

    Navarre Beach Camping Resort

    Southern Hospitality at its Best!

Staff: once again the entire staff is a living definition of southern hospitality. The moment you step on the property you are greeted with staff that actually want to be there, everyone from office, store, clubhouse and maintenance. They do an amazing job at setting a welcoming and accommodating atmosphere for all patrons. 5 STARS! Accommodations: Grounds: well maintained and clean; Pool Area: Clean and pool is HEATED. Cabins: clean and have a pinterest beach vibe! Pet Area: clean, double gated, lighted with bench poo bags supplied! Pet friendly. Pier and beach area very clean with swings and super comfortable lounge chairs to soak up all the sun and breeze. Pier is great for fishing and benches along the pier provide a great way to view sunrise and sunset. Club house: during our stay they hosted an amazing THANKSGIVING dinner and a paint night; also features a large screen tv and seating areas for those occasional rainy days. On the weekends they have breakfast on the grill, best breakfast I've had in a long time(shout out to the cook and staff:) Playground area is lighted with a box of sand toys and various other toys to keep the kidos busy. Atmosphere: There is NO OTHER campground in the area that beats the atmosphere at this campground. The staff and the care they take to make sure everyone's experience is the best is hands down the best in this area. I honestly can't think of one thing that would have made our stay more enjoyable. This is the second time I've stayed here.

    Camp On The Gulf

    Park On the Beach!

Just as nice as a resort but here you have direct access to the sand, because you can park directly on the beach! No need for shoes if you get a site on the sand. Sites are very tight here, but daytime staff escorts help you back into your site. Lush foliage and palms provide some division between sites and facility buildings. The showers and laundry houses are well above average and super cute, actually. The first beachfront row books out far in advance, but the drawbacks are that you cannot have dogs on that row (or on the beach) and you have to maneuver your tires in deep sand. The soft, white sand here is a dream on your feet but quite a challenge to park a big rig on. Still, you see plenty of Class A and toy haulers here. I stayed in site 705 on the second row from the beach and it was ideal for dogs. Beach front site 805 never showed up so I had a direct view to the waves for two nights. With everyone’s AC units on, you cannot hear the waves as you might have hoped, but the stars were very visible. This beach is really spacious and clean (besides being anti-dog), and the steep $125/night is justified when you step directly from your RV into the sand. The downside was really just the tightness of the sites. My neighbor’s awning nearly touched my camper on one side and I could not open my umbrella due to my other neighbor’s slide out. I would have been in trouble in this site had I had slide outs too. The two pools (water slide), kid-friendly food truck, and clubhouse seemed to keep the hordes of children entertained. Conveniently located near Sandestin on Miramar Beach between Destin and the cute resort town of Seaside. Lots of delivery food options nearby and Holi Indian Kitchen was particularly delicious (and vegan friendly). Can’t wait to return and stay longer next time.
