Twin Lakes Camp Resort

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Fishing draws many campers to Twin Lakes Camp Resort, where lighted piers extend over two stocked lakes and boats are available to rent for time on the water. Sites sit on stamped concrete pads landscaped with red lava rock, and as Shannon J. notes, "sites not located on the waterfront are elevated so they still have a water view." The gated, code-access entry keeps foot traffic controlled, and the grounds are consistently described across reviews as well-maintained and clean.

Sites run close together. Multiple reviewers flag the roughly 10-foot separation between pads as a real limitation, and most sites lack picnic tables, fire rings, or grills due to the tight layout. Campers who prioritize space and seclusion tend to find this setup less satisfying, while those focused on amenities and lake access generally come away satisfied. The campground draws a mix of short-term visitors and extended-stay guests, including at least one group that wintered here for three months.

Amenities are a clear draw. The shower facilities receive repeated praise across reviews, the camp store carries supplies and gear, and the property includes a pool, laundry room, and community center. Full hookups with electric, water, and sewer connections are available at all sites. WiFi is provided, though at least one reviewer clocked speeds at 1 to 2 Mbps. AT&T cell reception was reported as fast. Nearby, Juniper Lake RV & Campground and Bass Haven Campground offer alternatives for campers exploring the broader area around places to camp near DeFuniak Springs.

Nightly rates run $75 to $85, which several reviewers note is on the higher end for the region. Reservations are available and recommended, as the gated entry requires a code texted at check-in. Pets are allowed. Given the site density, arriving with a smaller rig or a single vehicle will make maneuvering and settling in considerably easier.

Clean, nice views, private and luxury, ssites too close

Nice place on the lake, well maintained. We wanted to do laundry and try new kind of a campground. Overall positive, but expensive. Sites are really near each other, no privacy. Probably ok for one time. Will go back to the more simple campgrounds. Had Wi-Fi, slow 1-2mgb/s . Att reception is fast.

Outstanding

This is one of the best campgrounds we've ever stayed! Beautiful, picturesque campsites. A lot of them have lake views. Bathrooms/showers are gorgeous.

We didn't use the pool.

They have a nice camp store/office.

There's a lot of wooden fishing docks. Boats to rent.

The gate has an access code, but they text you with the code. I didn't check my texts, so there was some confusion on my part.

The only negative thing I can think of to say is the sites are rather tight. We had an empty site next to us for 2 nights, so it was all good!

Beautiful gated views!

This campground is gated with beautiful views in all directions! We saw some of the best sunsets the pan handle has to offer.

Tight, but very nice

This park is cared for and very nicely executed. The sites all look level (ours was) and the hookups are well placed and maintained. Everything is aesthetically pleasing and done well. The pool and rec room are quite nice and the lakes are fun to paddle around. Our only complaint is the lack of space. Our site was separated from the one next to us by about 10 feet. We look for a more spacious, nature-oriented park, and this was not that at all. No picnic tables, fire rings, or grills-because there’s no room for them on any but a few spots. Nice for a friendly crowd, but not the right place for a peaceful camping experience.

Amazing!

This is a RV park that is done right! We actually had a three month extended stay here while we wintered in North Florida and this place is a gem. The staff was super, the park always clean and the other RVers were quite and respectful. Cute store, nicely planned and maintained facilities. Would recommend to anyone whether a night or a month.

Nice place close to home

Surrounded by 2 lakes this is a nice clean camp ground. Concert pads with full hook ups... A little close to your neighbors for me . They have fishing docks and a nice little store when you check in and has a bathhouse with laundry facilities

RV by the Water

Privately owned resort with gated entry-code only. Quiet and relaxing with nicely land scape sites. Full Hook-up at all the sites. Big rig easy access. We have stayed here twice and enjoyed our stay. They have everything covered- great store, pool, showers you will envy, laundry mat, and fishing peers. A little pricey, but it’s worth the splurge. You will appreciate what they offer.

Beautiful, picturesque privately owned and run resort with a camping feel.

A private, gated road leads to level, stamped concrete pads landscaped with red lava rock around 2 lakes with great fishing either on the water or newly renovated or rebuilt piers lighted for night fishing. They have, likely, the nicest shower rooms you'll encounter on the rv trail. A well equipped camp store has everything you need to get by and some things you didn't realize you need ( hello hammock seats that I had to drop $200 on). They have townhouse cabins and glamping yurts as well as a community center, pool, and laundry room. Full hookups and Wi-Fi. Sites not located on the waterfront are elevated so they still have a water view. Since buying this resort a few years ago, the new owners have poured their hearts and souls into updating this resort into a next level haven for the new generation of the rv lifestyle.
