Eastbank Campground is located on Lake Seminole on the Georgia-Florida state line. The lake and surrounding area provide a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities for fishing, camping, boating, picnicking, hiking, biking and birding.
Lake Seminole is known as one of the best sites for sports fishing in America. Extensive stump and grass beds provide abundant cover where anglers fish for largemouth, hybrid, striped and white bass. Sizable populations of catfish, crappie and bream are also present. Over 79 species of fish have been identified in the lake. Boating, water skiing and swimming are popular activities. The campground offers a boat ramp, dock and a fish cleaning station.
Lake Seminole has a surface area of 37,500 acres with 376 miles of shoreline. A pine and hardwood forest covers the rolling hills around the lake. A variety of wildlife makes its home around Seminole Lake, including raccoons, alligators, ring-necked ducks, canvasbacks, scaup, hawks, bald eagles, black vultures, tortoises and snakes.
Change and Cancellation Policies and Fees Overnight and Day Use Facilities: To ensure fairness, reservation arrival or departure dates may not be changed beyond the booking window until 18 days after booking the reservation. Camping / Day Use: A $10.00 service fee will apply if you change or cancel your reservation (including campsites, cabins, lookouts, group facilities, etc.). The $10.00 service fee will be deducted from the refund amount. You can cancel or change reservations through Recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777. Late Cancellations Overnight and Day Use Facilities: Late cancellations are those cancelled between 12:01 a.m. (Eastern) on the day before arrival and check out time on the day after arrival. Individual Campsites: If a customer cancels a reservation the day before or on the day of arrival they will be charged a $10.00 service fee and will also forfeit the first night's use fee (not to exceed the total paid for the original reservation). Cancellations for a single night's reservation will forfeit the entire use fee but no cancellation fee will apply. Group Facility: If a customer cancels a group overnight facility reservation within 14 days of the scheduled arrival date they will be charged the $10.00 service fee and forfeit the first night's use fee. Cancellations for a single night's use will not be assessed a service fee. Group Day Use Area: If a customer cancels a group day use facility reservation within 14 days of the scheduled arrival date, they will forfeit the total day use fee with no service fee charge. No-Shows Camping / Day Use: A camping no-show customer is one who does not arrive at a campground and does not cancel the reservation by check-out time on the day after the scheduled arrival date. Reserved campsites and group overnight facilities will be held until check-out time on the day following your scheduled arrival. Group day-use facilities will be held until check-in time on your scheduled arrival date. If a customer does not arrive at the campground or group facility by check-out time the day after arrival or does not cancel the reservation by the times listed under "Late Cancellations" above, the customer may be assessed a $20.00 service fee and forfeit use fees. Refunds Customers must request refunds no later than 14 days after the scheduled departure date. Recreation.gov will not grant refund requests after 14 days of departure. Reservation Fee: For some facilities, tours or permits an additional reservation fee is charged. For some overnight and day-use facilities, an additional non-refundable reservation fee may apply. The non-refundable reservation fee for tours and tickets is $1.00. The non-refundable reservation fee for permits varies by location. Refunds for Bankcard Purchases: Refunds for bank card payments will be issued as a credit to the original bank card. Refunds for Check or Cash Purchases: Refunds for Recreation.gov payments made by check or money order, and cash payments at selected campgrounds will be issued a check refund. A refund will be processed within 30 days of receipt and approval. Please Note: Refund requests made during or after departure can only be processed when approved by the facility management staff based upon local policy. Refunds for Emergency Closures: In the event of an emergency closure, the Recreation.gov team will attempt to notify users and offer alternate dates (as appropriate). If this is not possible, reservations will be cancelled and all fees paid will be refunded. Reservation fees for free tickets are non-refundable in the event of an emergency closure.

Ecological restoration at Ochlockonee River State Park has successfully preserved the beautiful longleaf pine forests that once covered much of the state. Trails allow visitors to explore the park and see the diverse wildlife, including the red-cockaded woodpecker, and natural communities such as pine flatwoods and sandhill. A boat ramp provides easy access to the river. Both freshwater and saltwater fish inhabit the waters around the park, including largemouth bass, bream, catfish and speckled perch. For overnight visitors, there are full-facility campsites with access to restrooms and showers. Youth group camping is also available. Canoes and kayaks are available for rent at the ranger station. Picnic facilities and a swimming area are located near the scenic point where the Ochlockonee and Dead rivers intersect.

We were evacuated, hurricane Milton, and found this as the last place that had a place only four of the spots have electrical. It’s very very backwards, camping, huge mosquitoes, huge bugs, alligators in the lake, bear boxes and bear meat racks, the road to it is terrible very very bumpy like driving over a river. You need to be almost in an off-road SUV vehicle to get to it and it’s 2 miles… Once you get there it’s just downright scary! The only good thing that we found out out of this is that there is an unknown RV park 10 miles down the road off of Bristol called River Landing RV park because they’re not listed on any of the pages so far we didn’t find them. I truly believe that it is the soul of the RV Park that makes it wonderful. The owners and managers of this park are absolutely incredible. The most accommodating kindest, most friendly people I have ever run across in all of the travels I’ve done which is many and my RV! This place has not been on the map before it is new and it has only had about a month in operating at this location. I kind of accidentally ended up here when being evacuated from hurricane Milton in Clearwater and somebody else from another campground that turned out to be a bust suggested we go here because it was an unknown location. Well Joanie, the owner was packed, but she fit us in anyway she made a parking space she created a connection. She figured out how to get water to us and welcomed us with food and music. The park inside has tables and chairs and little beautiful hanging lights a big fire pit and a really nice bathhouse with laundry room… We were instantly welcomed and various churches brought over food to all the campers here who had been evacuated from their homes… the place is beautiful and clean and sits on the prettiest river the Apalachicola river. It’s pet friendly and lots of dogs and kids with a big bounce house for the kids to play on guys came over from churches with guitars and played music just a wonderful place to beif you’re on your way back down to Florida evacuating run don’t walk to this campground because there’s lots of space here that is unfilled at the moment just because she isn’t well known.

What a great place! It’s a little close together but with the very long and spacious outdoor area near the water, it makes up for it. Great staff and communication during the reservations and after.

The campground was a really nice spot in the state park. Everyone was very friendly. The camp host went around to check on all new arrivals. We stayed in spot 13 and the circuit kept tripping. Both the camp host and ranger from the check in jumped right on the issue and let us use an adapter. Our spot was right on the river. There were places to sit and watch the alligators and boats. The bathrooms were very clean. We will definitely come back if we are in the area.
RangerThis campground is so pretty! I think we have the best spot because we’re in the shade for about half of the day. The lake is really pretty and relaxing to sit by. The bathhouses are a bit on the older side, I know funding is not there to do much. We have a big, beautiful tree behind out site that we sat under. There was a nice breeze coming off the lake and it was great (even though it’s 94° out). The camp host came over to us the next day after we arrived and gave us great info about things to do and see around here. That was so very nice! We rode our bikes to the dam and then to the park that’s on the other side of the bridge.
We do need to talk about that huge hill getting down to the campground. Holy moly. I’m from southern Florida and we don’t have those near us. 🤣 It was intimidating to say the least. lol
Yes, we use the showers at the campground because we have kids and we like to spread out in a shower. Plus we don’t want to fill up our tank, go dump and then hook back up. That’s our preference and that’s what we like to do.
LegendThis cg is a great small one. It has three small loops. We stayed in loop A. It’s basically on the water. Big spacious sites, 50 amp, and water. Very clean cg and camp hosts very friendly. Several roads coming in were very steep down, but manageable with our 38 ft coach. Some trees in loop A. Restroom very outdated, but one in loop C is better. We road our bikes to the dam. Great time! FREE LAUNDRY!

LegendSmall, well maintained park and sites, with 30/50 amp and water hook ups. A pleasant surprise when we arrived, after miles of rural driving! GPS took us the correct way, but seemed we were lost! Staff greeted us at entrance, gave us a map and explained how to get to our site. It was raining, and our site was back-in and downhill, mostly level with gravel, a picnic table, has a fire-ring with grill grate. Bathhouse is clean and impressed how the trash area and dump station were placed away from campers. The dock/pier, and boat ramp, are at the back part of the campground, The amenities are nice and there is outdoor cleaning sink behind the bathhouse, sitting area overlooking the river, the fish cleaning station, fire pit area, trails, and canoe/kayak drying area. 3 concrete sites, as well as tent sites. Lots of spacing between most of the sites, some are waterfront. Wildlife is plentiful and the trails are a great way to enjoy it all! We will come back! And it’s only $20 a night!

Tallahassee RV is our favorite park. We camp there for FSU events (I.e. enrollments, visiting and graduation). Clean, orderly, reasonably priced, close to shopping, gas stations, LIQUOR stores (kidding sort of) and the FSU campus! Can’t go wrong with choosing this park. It’s a pull through!

All in all, we thought it was a pretty nice campground! We stayed in a tent at site 16 which was on the edge facing Lake Talquin and had electrical hookups, a water faucet, and picnic table. There was even a light pole that could be turned off at night if desired. The campground also provided a potable water station, bathrooms, shower (a bit dated but clean), and dumpsters. There are also multiple docks, 2 with benches, and a few to tie boats or kayaks off at. All the camp sites seemed to have gravel pads…The only downfall to our particular campsite was that it butted right up to the landing parking lot and a dock which has fairly heavy traffic. But it was also nice to see an FWC officer make their rounds one of the nights we stayed. Another downside was that the dumpster close by was emptied by a garbage truck at 5am Tuesday morning which wasn’t the best alarm clock. What was a nice alarm clock was the camp rooster that had been there a few years and drops by to say hello each day. We scoped out other sites for when we return!
ScoutI stayed two nights June 26-27 2019. The campground is very nice, small and quiet. The staff came around to check on us but was not a bother. The bathrooms are clean, running hot and cold water and paper. The bugs were bad even though we used spray and candles. It is a great quiet campground. Better in the cooler months.

The Campground just opened in December of 2023. The owners are great people and go out of thier way to help you out. The site we stayed in was level left and right but had to lower the front end to level front to back. The pad had a bit of a drop off at the back so the owner had us park toward the front. We stayed 3 nights while visiting family in the area. There is a nice open area that families were enjoying when we arrived. Good laundry facilites. Cabins are available if you are not camping with an RV. Some sites are shorter than others so just make sure your rig will fit the site. There is a store on site and shower facilities if needed. They have a 2 mile hiking path which looked nice and a small pond. I woudl stay here again in the future.

The city has updated this campground. All sites are w/e with dump on site and large gravel pad. Back in and pull through are available on first come, first served basis. Some sites right beside the river. Playground for children. Rate: $35.00 self registration. No one onsite. Easy in/out for all size rigs on newly paved road. Paved walking or biking trails. Great in town location.

We needed a one night stop & this was perfect. Made our reservations online the day before. Host called me the next morning to confirm arrival time. Hosts were very kind, and escorted us to our site. Site was big, level, and pull through with full hookups. Long term rigs were kept pretty clean as I could tell. We didn’t use any facilities so have no comment on those.

Mixed feelings about this campground. It has too many sites too close together, but if few people are there it is peaceful. We stayed on a weeknight. Several people used the boat ramp, but only one other camper. So the night was quiet. I could see how it could be well used for day picnics and fishing and could become quite noisy. The boat ramp is separated from the camp a bit, and it was not noisy.
Not much view of lake from sites, but the lake is pretty from the fishing pier and boat launch. A bit of trash in some sites but not too bad. I'm guessing someone does not come and check on this site every day. We were in a van and did not try the pit toilets.
It is about 3 miles from the main road, one mile of speed bumps, two of dirt, but it is level and well packed.

I live near Ochlockonee River SP and I really enjoy it for day use and camping. Camp sites are indeed close and some sites might be hard for trailers, campers, or RVs but I have no problems with my SUV and tent. Is it miserable in April - September? I wouldn’t know because I stay far away from forests in the Florida summer! You will certainly experience mosquitoes and deer flies if you do go in the warmer months, which isn’t the park’s fault but be warned. I love the Ochlockonee River - it’s very serene. There is a boat ramp and fishing spots as well as a campfire circle, benches along trails, and places to walk along the river. The flatwoods trail is often very wet and you may need at least knee-high boots to get through it. I usually bring tall water boots everywhere but I can see how it’d be disappointing if you didn’t have any on you and couldn’t hike far! There are indeed white squirrels and deer, and lots of deer in general! Bathrooms were pretty clean and everything was functional. They also have a little library with books to read! They have a dumpster and dump station for holding tanks. I had good phone and LTE service as a Verizon user. Sopchoppy is indeed basically non-existent. It has gas but come prepared with other essentials. No major complaints about the park other than it’s a little small! Love it though!
