Tallahassee East Campground

This former KOA facility operates year-round with full hookups for RVs up to 60 feet, though maintenance issues affect the overall experience. The bathhouse shows wear with peeling ceilings and exterior doors that don't secure properly, while grounds feature unmowed areas and limited trash disposal options. WiFi access restricts to business hours only.

Staff members work to address cleanliness concerns despite facility limitations. The laundry room stays open 24 hours, though several machines remain out of service. Campers planning group arrivals should note restrictions on bus-style vehicles. For those exploring the broader region, campgrounds around Monticello provide additional options within the area.

Do not bother unless emergency

Very run down campgrounds that used to be a KOA and now a Good Sams campground. Not maintained very much even though the few staff tried to clean it a bit. Weeds, not mowed, peeling ceilings in dated bath house with exterior doors that do not close or have keyed entry. Only trash can was in laundry room which was at least open 24 hours but many machines out of order. WiFi only during business hours. Friend stayed in minimal cabin and was dim missing bulbs and smoke detector. They even charge a pet fee to clean cabin after pets.

No buses

Looks like a wonderful campground, unfortunately we came as a group in a mini church bus and were turned away. So if you have a bus camper or are bringing a group here in a bus i would keep looking.
