Awesome surprise!
What an awesome surprise! COE campground on a dead end road (ends at the boat ramp) with water and power. Dump is just up the road on your way out of the park and super easy to get to. Level sites, nicely spaced and mostly shaded. I bet it’s even more beautiful in the spring and fall. Picnic table, fire pit, grill and a fish station at all sites. Walking distance to boat ramp and lake access. Pet friendly. Road in was paved and well maintained. First come first served and although there is a camp host on site there is no way to call to check availability. $20/night ($10/night senior citizen or Access Pass).
Small, secluded, inexpensive
With our senior discount this was $10/night for electric, water, flush toilets and hot showers! Boat ramp near by, seemed to attract a lot of fisherman. Some boat noise on the lake, but ok at night. One site of noisy locals for several nights. No hiking trails. Back in gravel sites under trees and pull through sites along the outside of the loop road. Rv dump near the entrance. Definitely will be back when we are in the area. I think the other review may be for East Bank because there are only 11 Sites here at River Junction. Also as of Oct 2019, it is closed from April 1 to Oct 1.

Beautiful
We are both disabled, so our visit is often very different then most. We don’t hike, but we love boating and loved the sunset tour. The birds, frogs and the bald eagle nest was amazing. We camped for a week. The rangers were so helpful, and the hosts knew the best places to fish and the restaurants to visit. We had a great time
