I camp there multiple times a year! It's dog and family friendly, close to resources, but far enough that it's quiet and feels remote! No cell signal in the campground so the family is forced to disconnect. I absolutely love it!
The cabins are more rustic than most, which I enjoyed. While there was a stove the heating, which was necessary in November, was accomplished via a stove. The hiking is also very accessible Because it's basically pancake flat terrain. The only thing I did not like about the cabin was that it's all bunk beds. One of the things I appreciate about PA State Parks is that one of the bedrooms has a full size bed for couples.
Very nice campground with plenty of things to do for the kids. Beautiful pool, very nice playground and arcade. The fishing was good everytime we’ve went. They allow golfcarts which is a must for me.
We went for Father’s Day a few years ago. Nice camping experience had a fishing pond sites were level and no problems
The individual campsites are decent for a light camping experience. The hiking trails are great. The rivers for kayaking a real nice. Would recommend. Only warning is unless you rent 2-3 campsites you will be close to other campers as the campsites are in groups of three right next to eachother.
Great place to creek hike, nice for horses, we did get a lot of ticks, but not deer ticks, thankfully.
I had the best time here hiking up and down the mini mountains. The water was clear and beautiful and I absolutely loved it.
