ScoutLovely tree lined campground on the Rio Grande. Surrounded by pine trees and aspens. Each RV site has full hookups, fire ring, picnic table. Nice, clean, bath house with showers. There are also cute covered wagon “cabins” and one cabin. We stayed in a RV site along the river. Owners very nice and welcoming.
LegendSpots can be a bit close together depending on area. There is outdoor kitchen and I washed our dishes there, showers were very hot (unless someone has used it recently, it might take a quarter to get warm but we got showers in with 3 quarters), bathrooms clean & a bit small, clubhouse was clean and you can cook in it (did not look for utensils in that kitchen). Coffee pot was hot. Good places for dogs to go (although we picked up others' poops everyday so we doubled as poop fairy despite there being lots of poop bag locations). Had space with electric, water, and sewer. Spots that are closest to pasture (park parallel to its fence) have very nice views. Glamping tents looked nice, some 'tiny house' cabins (did not stay in either). Would stay again and probably would pick a 'view spot' next to the pasture.
ScoutThe air is dry, the sun is intense and the sky is clear, especially at night. Star gazing is a hobby around here. We were on the upper level, close to the outdoor pool, which made it very convenient for us. The roads in the park are blacktopped. The landing area's for RV's, are a black rock. No dust problems! Most sites have a small concrete slab and picnic table. We stayed for 20 nights. Will be coming back. The Gunnison Reservoir was dried up this season. Hoping for rain and snow fall this Fall and Winter. All in all, it's a great stay!
Legend2 campgrounds. South CG is a mile from main CG but 1 block from Downtown Silverton. Sites are small but plenty of things to do in area. Facilities are spotless and staff is friendly. Just keep in mind if you choose to stay at South CG it is in a residential neighborhood. I had no issues. People here are great.

ScoutWe've been coming to Silverton Lakes RV Park Campground for the past five years, and it continues to be one of our favorite places to stay in Colorado. We visited again this July, and as always, had an amazing experience. The weather was perfect, with cool, crisp mornings and sunny afternoons with rain some days that made it easy to enjoy everything the area has to offer. What really keeps us coming back year after year is the incredible staff. Everyone is so friendly, welcoming, and accommodating, always going out of their way to make sure guests have everything they need. You can truly tell they care about providing a great experience. The campground is always clean, well-maintained, and surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery. We highly recommend Silverton Lakes RV Park Campground to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable camping trip. We already can't wait to come back next year!
