Right on the Rio Geande River

Get a River front site Site 4 is FCFS, it is super private

The host Melvin Ball is a real gem !!!!! We stayed here 7 nights and explored Creede, Lake City, South Fork It’s a small campground, paved sites, no water, pit toilets In Creede you can get water from the Visitor center hydrant It’s good water We filled our 23’ trailer tank and then refilled with 7 gallon water jugs Tons of fly fishermen on the river

We would stay again

Some sites are too small and close together

and no privacy Near the vault toilets

Pretty Campground - Irritating Campsite

Great little campground. Right on the Rio Grande River…walk out of your tent straight into excellent fly fishing waters. Vault toilets. Nice campground host. Spaces are close together but it was very quiet. Not hardly any shade. Site 007 I would not recommend…the tent area is separated from the picnic table and fire pit by a good 25 yards…not convenient.

Great campsite by the Rio Grande River

Reserved a spot by the Rio Grande over Labor Day weekend. Stayed one night and fell asleep to the flowing river. Spot #7 was perfect as it has a picnic table and fire ring to the left of where you pull in and the campsite is to the right and gets you close to the river. There are other camp spots near but you can't hear anyone else over the roar of the river.  Walking tour in the videos below.
