We are also a 15 minute drive from the Delta wine tasting region in Clarksburg, or 25 minutes from the Lodi wine tasting region or 60 minutes from the Napa Valley region!

We live on a quiet 10 acre property with trees that provide some shade, and all of our sites are near the horse pastures. You might hear horses nickering and our cows calling. There is lots of room to walk or run around. A large sandbox and Treehouse are available for kids to play in, plus we have a 17 foot high swing for kids and adults alike! You can walk the property to observe the horses, or sign up for a special horse/ranch "experience." We have beautiful sunsets most evenings!

Come camp in a very quiet and safe horse and farming area. We are near the end of a dead-end road, so little traffic to deal with. Our camping sites are private, some with more shade and others with more mid-day sun.

We specialize in "Horse Experiences" tailored to your level of comfort and needs. None of the horse experiences listed on our site require any prior experience with horses. We will make sure you are safe and comfortable while working with the horses.

\*NOTE: Experiences are not available on Sundays (our sabbath day). We can fit them in on Saturday afternoon/evening for Saturday-night campers, or Monday morning for Sunday-night campers.

A cute little shed-barn has a flush toilet and shower (bring your own towels) for your use. You are also free to use the hot tub.

You are welcome to look at the horses, or you can sign up for one of our special "experiences" to get to know the horses better: learn to groom a horse, have a pony-ride, have a basic horse-riding lesson, take special photos with a horse(s), or help with the feeding and learn about taking care of the horses.

We are located about 12 minutes from the Galt area, which has a large variety of Fast-food, as well as several nice restaurants. There is also a Wal-Mart (with groceries) and a nice Supermarket. We are about 6 miles from 2 country stores in Herald and Wilton (with gas station & Mexican restaurant).

It's very quiet at night, and you can see LOTS of stars, especially when the moon isn't full. Welcome!

The trick when camping in California is managing so many possibilities. Once you've visited the famous sites, try some creative approaches to camping in California.


When you think Napa Valley, you think of wine, not camping. But you can plan a wine vacation from behind the flap of your tent. Set up in one of the valley’s campgrounds then visit the many casual tasting rooms that won't mind dirt under your fingernails.  When you tire of drinking wine, hike Mt. St Helena, a dormant volcano. Or walk through the Petrified Forest, a forest that was turned to stone by the last eruption of the volcano. Or visit California’s Old Faithful, a nearby geyser.


Once you have found camping in California’s Half Dome in Yosemite Valley, center yourself in Tuolumne Meadows, a more remote section of the park with its own collection of charming granite domes. Here's a secret: Instead of joining the crowds of day hikers on the meadow's most popular trails, follow the backpackers north on the famed John Muir Trail. The trail meanders through meadows, along a river below alpine peaks. And best of all, the first 8 miles of this trail out of Tuolumne are flat. Hike until you find a spot to watch the marmots, then return to your campsite. For more, backpack another 23 miles to Reds Meadow where you can catch a shuttle back up to Tuolumne.
