Camping 1 hour from home.

Very nice flat green grassy cover camp sits. Like your camping in your home backyard. 30 and 50amp campsite. It is supposed to be FULL HOOKUPS and was the last two times we camped here. But this time, due to some problems with sewer systems, they have had to turn it off. So just 30 and 50amp Electric and water. THEY HAVE DUMP STATION, BUT NO HONEY BUCKET TRUCK TO COME AROUND TO YOUR SITES TO DUMP YOUR RV. SO BEFORE SETTING UP YOUR CAMP. DUMP YOUR TANKS. We have a portable dump tank if we need it. NOT breaking Camp to take trailer to dump station. Praticeing good water management. Dish pans in sink to dump water out on grassy lawns. Only use toilet for middle of night bathroom call. No showers. Using campground showers bathroom.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Delta Shores compare to other RV parks in the California Delta?

Delta Shores distinguishes itself as a membership park that also welcomes non-members, offering a more community-oriented feel than some public-only facilities in the Delta region. The campground features flat, grassy sites that provide a homey, backyard-style camping experience rather than the more rustic settings found at other Delta locations. Its integrated marina sets it apart from land-only parks, making it particularly attractive for campers with boats. The park includes some year-round residents in a designated section, creating a blend of vacation and residential atmosphere that differs from purely transient campgrounds in the area.

What camping options are available at Delta Shores?

Delta Shores primarily caters to RV camping with full hookup sites (though sewer connections may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance). Sites include 30 and 50 amp electrical service on flat, grassy areas. While primarily an RV destination, tent camping appears to be possible though less common. The property also features year-round residents in a separate section toward the back of the park. For boaters, the marina offers slips that can be rented along with a campsite. Be sure to contact the resort directly to confirm current availability of specific camping options and any seasonal restrictions.

What amenities are available at Delta Shores Resort & Marina?

Delta Shores Resort & Marina offers full hookups with both 30 and 50 amp electrical service, though sewer connections may occasionally be unavailable due to system maintenance. The property features a marina with boat slips available for campers who bring watercraft. The campground maintains grassy sites that create a park-like setting. While specific bathroom and shower facilities aren't detailed, the resort caters primarily to RV campers with appropriate power connections. For boaters and fishing enthusiasts, the marina access provides direct entry to Delta waterways.

What do visitors say in reviews about Delta Shores Resort & Marina?

Visitors to Delta Shores highlight the friendly and helpful staff as a significant positive. Many appreciate the unique grassy, backyard-like camping environment that creates a comfortable atmosphere. The location on the Delta receives praise for its boating and fishing accessibility. Some note that sites aren't always level and high winds can sometimes be an issue, preventing awning use during breezy conditions. The park's cleanliness and maintenance receive generally positive mentions, though occasional utility issues like temporary sewer system shutdowns have been reported. Overall, guests value the convenient location and pleasant grounds despite minor infrastructure challenges.
