North Park RV Campground is located in the heart of Amery, Wisconsin along the beautiful Apple River. The campground is just north of the Amery downtown area on  Wisconsin Highway 46 opposite of the North Twin Lake Boat Landing.  The park contains:

 8 Improved RV sites with 50–AMP service, water and fire ring.  There are (2) Seasonal Sites available at $450 per month.

General Information
 Reservations and payments of campsites can be made on the City website. 
Camp sites are $30 per night and may be used for RV and tent camping.
Payments can made online when reserving a site or in person at City Hall.
 Firewood can be purchased at a number of local area businesses. Please do not bring firewood outside a 10 mile radius to help the city limit the spread or introduction of invasive insects and diseases that are easily transported on firewood including emerald ash borer, gypsy moth, or oak wilt.
 Please note: Limited camping access is available during second weekend of September and certain event weekends. Call to inquire about calendar of events.

Campground Rules
 Quiet hours are between  11 PM and 6 AM.            
 Maximum duration of stay is seven days.
 No fireworks allowed.
 Alcohol is not permitted.
 All pets must be on a leash.
 Please be mindful of weather  conditions. In the case of a weather emergency, you may wish to   evacuate the campground. In the event of an emergency, call 911.

With over 40 riverfront acres in the beautiful St. Croix river valley, our campground is the ideal base of exploration for the many exciting natural treasures of Taylors Falls. Whether you want to‘rough it’ in one of our primitive campsites or have all the comforts of a RV hook-up, we offer a get-away that is just what you’ve been looking for. Remote enough to be a welcome break from urban life, but close enough to enjoy any weekend, make camp Waub-O-Jeeg a family tradition.

Leave your tent at home and cozy up in the dome or yurt tent both equipped outhouses, fire pits, and picnic tables.  If you love stargazing, the dome will be perfect for you to fall asleep below the night sky surrounded a tall grass field.  If you would rather spend your time in the shade of the forest, book the yurt for a great hangout whether you are barbequing or just lounging.

The surrounding farmland is great for walks around the ranch, seeing wildlife, and petting farm animals.  This farm is right down the road from Interstate State Park which is great for hiking, biking, water sports, fishing, and swimming.

Bring your own food, sleeping bags, and mats.  Firewood is available for purchase.

For the adventurers spending the weekend climbing at Interstate State Park, the cyclists on a bike tour, or anyone wanting to spend the night amidst the stars and owls, rent a campsite at Lily Springs Farm and pitch your tent on the lakeshore!  Bring your tent or your hammock and set up a cozy nest on the lakeshore. Campsites have easy swimming access.

Interstate is Wisconsin's oldest state park, established in 1900. Located along the picturesque St. Croix National Scenic Riverway, the park provides scenic views of the river and the steep-sided gorge known as the Dalles of the St. Croix. The Ice Age Interpretive Center features a film, photographs, murals and information about Wisconsin's glacial history.

With the well-known water borders of Lake Michigan, Lake Superior, and Mississippi River, and the natural wonders of The Dells, stunning island sea caves, and the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, the hardest part about camping in Wisconsin is deciding where to go. 


There are over 5,000 campsites in the state park system, and many more options for remote rustic camping, family campgrounds, and wilderness cabins. It’s important to think about what kind of experience you want. Trust that the Badger State will live up to its outdoor recreation reputation – but for those looking for a tame trip camping in Wisconsin’s forests, hopefully not its nickname. 


Factoid: Wisconsin got its nickname, The Badger State, because of lead miners in the 1800s that often lived in tunnels burrowed in the hillsides to shelter in the winter. The miners were nicknamed “badgers.” Actual badger encounters are incredibly rare in Wisconsin.


For those who might be mildly disappointed by the lack of badger action, you’re probably the type looking for a rustic wilderness experience. Some of the best options for more remote camping in Wisconsin include Bagley Rapids Campground, Kettle Moraine State Forest, Rock Island State Park, Big Bay State Park, and the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. 


One of the most visually stunning and unique places to experience in Wisconsin is the Apostle Islands archipelago off the southern shore of Lake Superior, with camping available on 19 of the 21 islands. Great options are available for all levels of tent or wild camping, with traditional sites, group campsites, and remote backpacking zones. One of the main attractions is the sea caves. They’re best viewed by a kayak, and unless you know the area, it would be smart to get a guide or take part in a tour to find the best spots, and more importantly, stay safe amongst the spectacular geological formations, sculpted by the same unpredictable water that needs to be respected when visiting the area. 


If you’re looking for the true family fun experience while camping in Wisconsin, that doesn’t necessarily require wilderness survival skills, check out the Wisconsin Dells. This 5-mile glacially formed gorge is carved in sandstone on the banks of the Wisconsin River, with incredible naturally formed sculptures and canyons. The area has become one of the primary destinations in the state for outdoor recreation and family fun. There are a multitude of Wisconsin Dells cabins available for a memorable trip to “The Waterpark Capital of the World.” 


When you’re looking for Wisconsin Dells cabins to rent, there are several cabin resorts boasting nearby outdoor activities, access to the Dells, and comfortable accommodations. Pay attention to the actual distance between your accommodations and The Dells, and be aware of the wide ranging term “cabin”, as some might not fit your definition. Just remember, go for the scenic views and natural beauty, stay for the water slides and food.
