Used to be a great place to camp

Unfortunately, I can no longer say this is a great, affordable place to stay. The weekly rates increased by over $75 a week for the full hookup sites this season.

There was also a link to last years pricing still active until 4/16 that has since been deactivated when I asked to have my pricing adjusted to that amount. Seems deceptive to me, having 2 different prices in 2 different places on their site.  They will not honor the price and told me if I don't like it I can find somewhere else to camp.

Also, they no longer offer kayaks, which was the big draw to the campground.

We may keep our reservation this year, but likely won't be back next season.

Very nice campground

Campground was clean and quiet. Bathrooms and showers were very nice! It gets very quiet earlier than I expected. My only complaint is that firewood was expensive! But I’d definitely stay again!

Great clean place lots to do

Crazy horse is a very clean and well maintained campground with a lot of things to do like river tubing, kayaking, and canoeing.

Also they gave a slot of amenities for the kids like mini golf , jump pad, play grounds and a pool.

Fun Times!

Clean campground with lots of things for the kids to do.  Clean shower house with good water pressure! Prices have gone up this year but that’s true if most campgrounds.

Nice family campground

We have camped here twice once in the fall once in the summer during the summer they provide at no charge kayaks and a shuttle to a drop-off point which you can kayak back down to the campground which takes about an hour and a half they space out the shuttles very well so you are not running into the people from the last shuttle. We go for the kayaking and if you have a second vehicle you can continue on down river another eight miles which is approximately six hours to the next point that you can get out at. The campsite we stay at is Water and Electric and it's right along the river when you pull in to set up camp you'll be facing the water which is nice you're not staring at neighbors campers

A little something of everything

Friendly staff and a nicely stocked store. Has a pool, petting zoo, kayaks, rocky beach, dog park, and a land pillow! The sites are spaced out well and there are more secluded sites so you have the feeling of privacy or big group sites for a big party.

Family & friends

We stayed here for a long weekend. It was really nice campground. Only complaint was our neighbors which didn’t respect our space. We stayed at full hookups site 803. Being right in front of the jumping pillow people didn’t walk around. They would cut thru our site. It was really annoying especially with dogs kids would walk thru in the dark and startle everyone’s dogs. I think they need to Make a path cutting thru for people that’s designed and obvious.

I liked being about to go tubing it was so much fun!

Our stay was great besides the people who were annoying 😂 but you can’t win them all 👍.

Okay campground

Camped here past prime season so some activities shut down for season. Lots for kids to do during summer season with basketball court, large jumping pillow, mini putt. Small store. Were supposed to have a riverfront site but river was rising so they closed that part of campground. Lots of seasonal RVs. Electric. Site we did have was very muddy after overnight rain. Sites close together with little privacy.

Very relaxing

We made this trip mid-May during the Covid social distancing. The camp ground was on point with their preparedness. Check in was simply pull into your site or a brief stop at registration. All activities were down as expected and was reflected in the price. We reserved a site with water electric for the weekend and we were very happy with the size and condition of the site. Beautiful green grass, and very clean. The bathhouse was open but we did not utilize as we have a fully contained camper. This is usually a pretty active campsite with lots of activities and it was nice to just sit back and relax.

Fun Time!

But rather expensive. They have a Daily Activity bracelet that allows you to partake in all activities but you need to purchase per person for each day regardless if you will utilize. With the kids we do use all of the included activities which include pool, kayaking services, batting cages, miniature golf, peddle cars, and some others I’m sure I’m forgetting. Good size sites and very quiet during the week. They get very busy on weekends and holidays you have to book in advance.

Fun on the river

Big sites along the river. Fun to float, kayak or canoe. Very expensive, but all amenities are included in daily fee. Most expensive campground I've ever been to.

Our site was the best as it was the last on the river and we couldn't hear any of the loudness, and it is loud when you stay in the heart of the campground.
